Dreadful service

Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Nicola helps alot

Spoke with Nicola on the phone this morning, Explained my situation and why I was calling as I could not do what I wanted online, Nicola helped fix the issue and also gave me some information I did not have that might benefit me (it didnt but nice to know in case I fall into that category) Nicola was professional and lovely on the phone.

Agast Water........

This company (like most profit making utility companies) definitely do not care about "their customers" it is a shame that we, the customers need them to supply us with our water, otherwise they would be out of business within weeks. A minimum of £500k (plus bonuses) that's what the CEO of Anglian Water earns.......well, actually, that's what me and all the other customers of Anglia Water are paying him! Customer service......null and void. Value for money......zero. Would I recommend? God No!

Anglian Water illegally cut my water…

Anglian Water illegally cut my water off around 2 months ago and despite scores of chases to them i cant get any sense or response or apology or explanation from them and I dont owe them any money ...... What a total shambles they seem to be ........... No doubt their CEO Mr Thurston is to busy working out what to spend his £500k salary on rather than worrying about anyone else .........

I had no means of internally shutting…

I had no means of internally shutting of my mains water to do any work. The stop valve outside of my property was difficult to locate and once located, was found to be faulty. AW had a bit of a hard time, the property is over 100 years old and always present issues. But I can only commend the professionalism of all who attended this job, it took some doing but they were ALL great. I can now shut off my mains water to do some work in the house.

Unreasonable Delay in Unblocking My Drains

On April 12th, I reached out to Anglian Water regarding a blockage in my drains where they connect to the main sewer. Wastewater was backing up and flooding my bathroom floor. Previously, Anglian Water confirmed that they are responsible for unblocking my shared drains, which connect to the public sewer system. Several years ago, after experiencing multiple blockages, I received a message from Anglian Water indicating that they were in the process of replacing the interceptor drain responsible for these issues. Their policy on replacing interceptor drains, part of the combined sewer system, aims to ensure proper drainage and minimize overflow risks. Despite this notification, the replacement never occurred, and I never received an explanation for this no-show. This is quite disappointing, especially given that they have made multiple visits over the years to unblock my drains. It seems more cost-effective to have completed the promised work rather than continuing to address recurring blockages. Regardless, after reporting the blockage, I was informed it would take up to three days for someone to come and address the issue, which was alarming given the ongoing toilet overflow. An engineer finally arrived on April 16th, taking less than a minute to unblock the drains. In light of the emergency situation, I believe this could have been addressed much sooner. I am thankful that the engineer ultimately came to resolve the issue. I want to emphasize that I have no concerns about the quality of work performed. I was notified of his arrival between 10 and 11 AM, which I appreciated. However, this review is primarily about the unreasonable four-day delay in responding to my blocked toilet and their failure to rectify the problem as promised several years ago.

Anglian rebate - one big confidence trick

OFWAT ordered rebates amounting to ten's of millions of pounds over recent years is all smoke and mirrors. Anglian Water simply tacks on the rebate to its annual price rises so consumers never see bills going down or even a partial refund. OFWAT ordered Anglian to rebate £38m against consumers bills for 2025/26 yet surprise, surprise, our bills are going up by 19%. The greater the OFWAT ordered rebate, the greater our bills go up. So I'm not paying 19% extra for water this year and more people should boycott this increase too as it's just one big confidence trick!

Smart meter scam, dishonest and no respect

Worst customer service. I asked for help with a payment issue, and somehow they tried to raise my bill by over 40%. Random billing? Huh? Their so-called smart meter showed 80+ litres per hour, every hour, from midnight to midnight on a full day — when no one was even home. I gave them clear evidence, and they completely ignored it. No way the smart meter isn't at fault. Just kept repeating “it’s a leak". Loads of people complained about faulty smart meter and being overcharged. It feels like no one can stop them. Is there any authority that actually holds them accountable? Total waste of time dealing with these people. Rubbish service.
