I wanted DNA results and to be able to connect with relatives I don’t know. I started a family tree and was very excited. But the price of membership for this access, is crazy expensive and I’m unable to join. So now, I don’t have access. Makes it pretty much useless
Nothing about the native part of my family came up and it was super disappointing and the results were not what I was expecting, not specific at all.
As I told you in an email on Fri, 15 Nov 2024 at 17:37: "Dear Madams/Sirs I took you up on your 40 dollar offer today (attached) but I see you have billed me 49 dollars. Will you please explain the difference Sincerely Kjeld Poulsen Kürstein" I never received an answer so this was my first disappointment. I shipped my saliva sample on Mon, 25 Nov 2024 and you confirmed reception of it Tue 21 Jan 2025 - almost two months later. So that was the second disappointment. It then took until Thu 6 Mar 2025 - four months - before I got my results. That's quite a bit longer than what I was expecting after you told me: " Once we receive your sample, in most cases you’ll receive your results within 6 weeks." In particular because my DNA appears to be pretty standard. All in all I am not impressed and I won't be needing Ancestry any longer. Greetings. Kjeld Poulsen Kürstein
After paying for and receiving results of the DNA test I was offered 50% off a one year membership. However, when I clicked on the link the discounted price was not available and I was only offered a short, free trial. I firstly emailed Ancestry and then spent half an hour on chat sending screenshots and being told to try various things. When none of them worked the advisor said there was nothing he could do apart from offer me a 25% discount for 6 months. Obviously unacceptable. Why offer something that you are not going to honour? If the advisor wasn't able to solve the problem surely he should have passed it on to someone who could?

I was disappointed in the generality of the result. It was mostly based on possibilities of similar groups, very little trackable information.
Obviously the kit is a tool ancestry uses to incentivize people to buy a subscription. Info provided after DNA analysis provides no new information without a subscription.
Your DNA is a load of crap. I’m 100% white your DNA I’m black my husband is 100% black he from st. Lucia and you’re saying that white are you freaking serious I think you guys messed up on test. I’m not really happy. I want my money back actually.

I love Ancestory.com, it has connected me with family i didn't know I had. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the app has glitches, such as, I lost all my progress on the first tree I started, when I try to add some people that I know im related to, it will go to a white screen and just stays there, it won't add them. There's a lot of gaps in my family tree that I can't find any information on. I got my DNA results and honestly I have more questions than answers. I have done other DNA tests and they say something very different than Ancestory.com. other than that I do love connecting with my living relatives and learning what I can about my ancestors. Over all I recommend trying it, it may surprise you. And hopefully they will get the bugs worked out of the app

Found out my biological dad knew about me but still wants nothing to do with me because at the time I was conceived he was engaged but really can't tell anybody because my sister found her bio dad family and is having a good experience and I'm so freaking selfless I just say that he has not responded I wish I didn't know honestly
First kit was lost. Second kit was processed and I received an email saying that the results were ready but 24 hours later there were no results. The app doesn’t seem to work so I guess I just continue to wait.
