Misleading Membership Offers
After paying for and receiving results of the DNA test I was offered 50% off a one year membership. However, when I clicked on the link the discounted price was not available and I was only offered a short, free trial. I firstly emailed Ancestry and then spent half an hour on chat sending screenshots and being told to try various things. When none of them worked the advisor said there was nothing he could do apart from offer me a 25% discount for 6 months. Obviously unacceptable. Why offer something that you are not going to honour? If the advisor wasn't able to solve the problem surely he should have passed it on to someone who could?
