Thank you to Jamie and Brandon, for doing such a good job with the garden stage of our install. They were really friendly and accomodating. You can tell they want to do the best job for the customer.

Our installation into the property actually took place just yesterday. The cable installation caused our property very little disturbance as it was possible to use existing ducting. The installation into Barn was undertaken by Chris Payne, very courteous despite having an extremely thick wall to drill through, no mess at all . So far our experience has been very positive, just waiting now for the switchover of the telephone, due to take place in the next week or so.

We had an issue with connectivity to our router for any devices, at the time I called they said someone would try to get back to me that day, however it was 4.30 so I was realistic that they may not be able to. First thing the next morning Ruby called me and helped resolve the issue really quickly via a firmware update, not only did she resolve the issue but she was super helpful and friendly which was a nice way to start the day. Initially we were with bt and the service was acceptable but out of contract price doubled so we went with wessex internet, fibre to the house not cabinet 1/2 a mile away , guaranteed speeds etc. however in reality not much different, the coverage in the house is poorer, poss due to the new location of the router as this was relocated to " the easiest place" by the install team after some sucking of teeth when asked if it could go in the same place. we now have blank areas around the house. we were told that this could be solved and that w.i. would assist in setting up boosters! ( a real solution?) but no, a good signal was demonstrated 3 feet from the router. Also we are fairly amazed at the outside installation of the cable, through the hedge in a conduit (green hosepipe?) under the turf for 8 feet then up a rainwater pipe with cable ties, along the soffite board and then down another rainwater pipe with cable ties, a junction box on the front of the house then through the wall to the router, in all 1&1/2 hours , 5 men, two vans to fit the cable, 1hour two men to fit the router. the men were polite etc but couldnt wait to get the job done easily and get away. The fibre light package and voip phone work ok , the fibre light is no better or worse than bt. the phone is ok but the sound quality is scratchy, calls to mobiles are charged for so take care who you dial. All in all i would say that wessex internet are just another utility company looking for profits.

I contacted WI yesterday as our phone connection was off. Lucy Fielding responded quickly could not have been more helpful - clear with understandable instructions to deal with the issue and advice should it happen again. Excellent - thanks Lucy.
So far a very mixed experience with Wessex Internet. Initial conversations with Jordan Sharp were very positive and resulted in us placing our order at the beginning of September. Thereafter service went downhill ...until the end. We had two months of chasing trying to find out what was happening ( nothing was!); being promised calls back which did nt happen etc. etc.. Mid November chased yet again in a mood that was ready to fire a broadside at the CEO. This time I got Katie Gondelle when for the first time in over 2 months things started to move ...and at break neck speed. Dave visited to survey today and within half an hour a team were on site to lay the cable ( v. straightforward as predicted). Now await installation team at end of this week. Jordan and Katie deserve 5 star reviews...the unacceptable wait in the middle let the whole company down hence only 3 stars offered.
After a very super-long wait for Wessex Internet to install super-fast fibre broadband, it looks like I will finally have it installed this week. I must thank Katie Gondelle and James Cattigan for resolving my case and finding an alternative pathway to my connection to avoid the railway line. Although I am pre-empting the connection in 2 days time, I am confident that all will be well and I will have a reliable fast fibre broadband, instead of the ultra slow copper wire I connection I have now. So many thanks again, James and Katie for setting me up for this connection.

I have been a customer of Wessex Internet for a number of years wireless at first and now Fibre, the Fibre wire was severed by contractors Will from customer Care at Wessex was excellent managing the repair and then following uptown ensure that the problem has been fixed to our satisfaction

I lost the internet this morning and had excellent and friendly contact with Wessex who were very patient and considerate when dealing with someone who is not a computer expert!! I spoke to someone first whose name I unfortunately did not write down, who after helping me to test various options passed me to Elena on the technical team who was able to sort the problem out in minutes. It is very reassuring that you get help so quickly rather than being number 100 in a queue! Many thanks

This is a follow up to a previous review I left for Wessex Internet. Having just got on board with them I lost internet connection which, unfortunately, was due to a number of abnormal issues i.e., rats chewing through the cable on my property, other contractors damaging WI’s cables in the road and technical issues with the PON (whatever that is). All this happened simultaneously which resulted in the resolution taking a bit longer than we all hoped. However, the feedback I can give dealing with Wessex is all positive. During the period without internet I have always been able to speak to someone and it has been easy to get through to the support team. Everyone, without exception (Cathrine, Stephanie, Lucy, Graham and Alex that I remember), have always been really friendly and helpful and if they’ve promised to phone back they always have done. That makes such a difference. The teams that have visited my house have been great (Tyler, Liam, Dan are the names I know). They were all very friendly, apologetic for the delay, respectful of our property and they have always turned up during the allotted time. It would probably have been easy to get annoyed over this, but the way the various teams dealt with me has meant that was never going to happen. So, despite the various issues, I’m back online and grateful for all the help provided by Wessex.
