Very efficient service
There was an issue regarding how our property was connected. I raised this with Lucy from the Customer Service team who was both friendly and efficient. I subsequently had dealings with several planners and the issue was resolved. I was impressed with the interest shown and friendliness of all those who I dealt with.

Installing fibre optic cable to our Grade 2 Listed Church Building and through more than 50 metres of ancient churchyard was quite a challenge, and involved detailed discussions with the Diocesan Advisory Committee which took a little while, but when we had the necessary approvals, the lady in the ‘Onboarding’ Team at Wessex was confident that the Garden Crew could do the field work in a double shift on a Saturday afternoon….and so they did, in spite of miserable weather and the fact that the cows in the next-door field had trampled the fibre optic cable that had been coiled up there for months. The optical and electrical work was completed a few days later with a tidy connection into the Vestry through our thick and hard stone walls. Since we could not even get a ‘phone signal inside the building before we are looking forward to the possibilities that Full Fibre Broadband will bring to our church and wider village community who use our facilities. Promised a connection in October 2024. It’s now January 2025. Frustratingly the coil of fibre optic cable is tied up on the far side of the road (it might as well be on the far side of the moon). Waiting for a machine to drill under the road. I’ve also seen one of their cable laying tractors stationary, doing nothing, alongside a field for weeks. I am not very hopeful of a quick fix!
The installation team had a problem in locating our underground ducting and feeding the cable through. Wessex Internet sent Garden team no.4 and what a fabulous team they were! There was nothing impossible for Jordan and his team, they worked very hard and never lost their smile; we really thought this is an impossible task and lost hope of us being connected, but after a full days work in the cold weather they managed to get the cable in the ground and connected us . Really I cannot praise them enough. Thank you guys.
I had initial problems with the internet connection as it kept dropping out and then lost completely. However, their technician came quickly and the problem is now sorted. I can't tell if the broadband speed is any better than what I had with Sky but I am happy with the system overall.
Every person we have been in contact with at Wessex Internet has been friendly, has kept us up to date with progress and very professional. They seem to work together as a highly efficient, connected team, and communication with us has been excellent. We've now got super fast fibre service in a rural area which is genuinely life enhancing!

It was a long wait but well worth it. Very efficient installation and super fast broadband, something we have been lacking in our village for far too long. We’ve only been up and running for a week but no teething problems so far. Would recommend Wessex Internet to anyone who is struggling with slow internet speeds!
Wessex Internet proved to be reliable and made all effort to install an internet connection before Christmas 2024. Highly recommended.
What I love about Wessex internet is how easy it is to contact them when a problem arises. They very helpful, and bend over backwards to help if something is not right. I have just signed up and have to say I feel I am with a company that really cares. A minor issue in the intial set up was quickly resolved by Jack in their technical dept.
