Ruby Milligan went above and beyond to help me reconnect our Internet connection. She was very helpful, and walked me through the process from start to finish in a very confident manner. Wessex Internet are a great forward thinking company, who go above and beyond in their customer service.

We’ve been with WI for approx 5 years and they’ve been 5* since the start and we don’t ever want to be with anyone else. Recently upgraded our account and speeds etc and was supported by Lucy Fielding who was amazing and even saved us money!

We have the 250mb package and overall have found Wessex internet to have great service and quality of fibre. Since the fibre was installed and activated in early September 2024 it has worked flawlessly. Only slight grip is that if you restart the router it does take 5mins or more to connect to the Internet. I've only needed to restart it once after a power cut, but the light on the router stayed red far longer than I would expect, resulting in restarting it again thinking there was a problem. But after a while I just left it and it came to life somewhere between 5-10mins. I'm not expecting to need to restart the router often so its not really a problem. I do think the Nokia router supplied is really good and reaches all areas of our 4 bed house well with at least 80mb download in the furthest room from the router. Its better than I expected and means I could get rid of all the powerline extenders I used with our last router. Happy customer so far.

Wessex Internet dealt with my slow line speed with courtesy and efficiency. Dave took the trouble to listen to my concerns, and acted on the data I sent. A follow-up call by Graham explained the issue, and told me how the problem was resolved - great for a techie like me.

Our router had reset to factory settings (possibly combo of power cut and brief internet outage) but after one phonecall I had a full emailed set of instructions to restore it to use, and it was pointed out I could move to a cheaper monthly tariff that fitted my usage better. I had follow-up checks, too, to make sure everything was sorted. Very impressed. Thank you to Will for his help.

The whole process of using Wessex Internet has been frustrating and slow and I have had to constantly chase them to provide the additional hubs I was promised. The 500mbps I purchased only comes in at about 350 mbps next to the router and then drops to about 1.5mbps or zero in every other room in the house. 5 weeks after getting the router I am still waiting for the additional hub which makes running my business from home very difficult. Online Teams meetings are next to impossible. All they need to do is get their engineer to do the speed tests when they fit the router and have any additional hubs pre-congured so they can set them up at that time - job done! Instead the customer has to mess about taking speed test readings, screenshotting them and then emailing (ironically) them to Wessex to let them know how useless their Internet is. Weeks pass and you have to keep calling them, emailing them and trying to get them to finish a job they could have easy completed on their first visit weeks before. Use another company, not this useless lot!

After initial wait because a “pole was defective”WI got in contact by the date they had promised and the cable was brought to our house on the day arranged. The installation happened a few days later and was very quick and efficient. The signal strength was recorded as 250 next to the router but we had to get a booster for the signal to reach our sitting room-it’s an old house with thick walls. So far we’re very pleased -no buffering although the signal has dropped out momentarily a couple of times. All staff we’ve been in contact with have been very courteous and efficient.

The whole process was very smooth and efficient. Dan who did the install was great and we now have great speeds throughout the house. Does everything we’d hoped for and more.

getting the contract ready was easy as the team is always available on the phone. When they came to fit the Wessex box there was a problem because the cables were not connected to their line but the operators worked for hours and came back right the next day to fix it. Speed is as promised of about 100 Mb. Happy with the product and service

Chris arrived on time and introduced himself. Courteous and professional leading to an excellent installation. Answered my many questions and resolved the install challenges without fuss. From my experience, Chris appears to be a great asset to the Wessex team.

It's actually good wifi you get what you ask for and that's rare when it comes to providers so I'm happy
