I have been using PSA Financial…

I have been using PSA Financial Services Limited for two years now following a recommendation to seek advice on ameliorating all of my work pensions. Raividas Jay has met with me to undertake a review of my pension plans and the trends for each year as my financial circumstances might change occasionally. The meetings are informal and are geared towards securing the best outcome for me rather than anyone else so is truly independent of other interests which is great. I would highly recommend them as a company and for the support their staff provide.

This company is deceitful

This company try to ignore official legal documents/emails to delay proceedings such as termination/surrender notices. If doing business with this company make sure you put everything into written format, download voice recorders for telephone contact to cover yourself. If you want to terminate a contract on mutual grounds for goodness sake say TERMINATE not surrender as this will lead to cancellation costs and agreement issues.

PSA finance worse company

PSA finance were the company used when I got a new Peugeot on lease hire. We’re fine until the end of contract when they added £455 to my end of contract bill for payments they wouldn’t explain to me. Currently having to raise complaint with financial ombudsman because they are so awful. Stay away from this company at all costs!!

Not fit for purpose

Take photos of the car before signing anything. Currently in a dispute over refurbishing alloys which I never damaged. They have taken £195 from my account without authorization, this is after I came to an agreed £75 payment at a later date as neither I had evidence of damage when I bought the car and they had no evidence to show I had damaged the car. They will continue to blame the automated system in place as to why they will take money from your account after something different has been agreed. The staff will also tell you on one hand that it is fastest to email to get a response however this is only when it suits them, i.e. sending an email to terminate the contract, claim they can't confirm details and reply view email but you will receive an email to input your details to confirm everything....just so happens they responded the day after my next payment was due....and then everything could be done by email. Not a company I would trust.

Avoid PSA Finance UK and prevent stress and threats

Avoid them I would say! I ended my Hire Purchase HP agreement with them as didn't need the car anymore. Upto that point the car was under a regular service and MOT contract with Arnold Clark, from whom I took the car. Suffice to say, the car was kept impeccable. Upon return to the auction site as directed by PSA Finance, the inpector found a number of minor scratches and scuffs that one could only notice if specifically looking for them. Another thing he found was preparation marks from a paint job. All costs amounted to over £300. When signing the report, I indicated I diagreed with the price, as the paint job never happened when the car was with us. Soon after, I started receiving letters from PSA Finance asking for the full amount and not any offer to discuss my disagreement. PSA then handed over to a debt collection company and threatened to effect my credit history which would prevent me from getting any loan in future such as mortgage for a house. In conclusion, they want me to pay for damage that was pre-existing when I took the car on HP. It was PSA Finance's responsibility to check the car when they bought it from Arnold Clark and then gave me on HP. A customer such as you and me do not have the expertise to find hidden damages. Why should I pay for pre-existing damage????? I have filed a complaint with the Financial Omdbudsman, by filling an online form, to recover my money. I suggest you all do so as well. This will prevent PSA Finance from this dishonesty and extortion.

AVOID PSA AT ALL COSTS!! WORST COMPANY IVE EVER COME INTO CONTACT WITH

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I wish i knew about the reviews and disgusting customer service before i signed for my Peugeot on just add fuel from robins and day sheffield! My 3 years finished and car handed back 2 weeks ago, granted it needed a valet (£50) and 2 new wheel trims (£16 each). We got the car serviced every year, paid for MOT, new break pads aswell as 2 new tyres adding up to £200+. £479 my charges apparently came to, i signed to disagree and the inspector advised me to argue against the "damage". Tiniest dints that you could hardly see unless you got millimetres to it and looked at it the right way, rust which shouldnt even occur on a 3 year old car so clearly a manufacturers fault aswell as the general wear and tear of a 3 year old car. I rang up and they took off £100 making it £379 insisted they could NOT take anymore off it unless i sent the car off to be looked at further which i refused as i knew they would only try to find more faults not knock any off! He agreed i could set up a payment plan that would suit me and to ring up when i received the charges letter. Fastforward to today, i rang hoping to set this up even though the charges were unfairly given i wanted to get it over and done with as the car and this company has caused nothing but stress! The man who dealt with my call was TERRIBLE! Infact their customer service in general is TERRIBLE. Never asked me the reason for my call instead demanding £170. When i questioned this as i didnt have a clue what he was on about i hadnt received a letter or told over the phone when rang previously turns out its gap insurance! Which i dont understand why im paying £170 i dont even have the car anymore i assumed everything was included in my payments of £279.15 every month! They are now wanting payments of £549 inc. The gap insurance money. Then saying they cant set up a payment plan until i fill out a form and give them access to my bank statements and transactions to see how much i can afford!! Disgusting and dodgy!! Will never ever use them again id rather never drive again then use them. All they are bothered about is MONEY. Couldnt care less whether it leaves you without nothing. I will be ringing offering what i can afford a month no looking at MY bank transactions. They take it or leave it. Caused me nothing but stress, anger and upset i hope this site warns people away and robins and day shame on you for using this disgusting company i will never use either again! I will be asking for legal advice on all of this and contacting Financial Ombudsman Service.

PSA? Not recommended!

Having paid off the amount owing after three years of our PCP agreement in two amounts a bank transfer and credit card payment, our online account payment schedule showed £0 owing. A few days later I thought I would have a look online to see if I had received an acknowledgement message of full payment being made. To my horror PSA Finance had taken another payment of the full amount again from my Bank. My online account now showed that I owed minus £6000+. Clearly showing I had paid twice. Phoned PSA, they could not help but acknowledged they had taken the full amount out. They suggested I contact my bank. By this time I had already had a text message from my bank notifying me that I was now overdrawn and would sustain bank charges. Yes I should have cancelled all direct debits going to PSA but they were unwilling to refund the amount. Won't be using PSA again. Double check everything and cancel all direct debits!!! Their website is good but hopeless if there isn't a human being observing it.

No compassion or sympathy

I wouldn't give any stars if i had my way... Unfortunately, a week ago my dad past away. I have phoned psa finance, besides seeing the obvious death certificate etc, they want to see my dads Will... No compassion or sympathy from the woman I spoke with there, only asking about who was taking it over... DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.... Angry is not the word. We're still in conversation with them...

August 2019 I finished paying PSA…

August 2019 I finished paying PSA finance the money for the Just Add Fuel contract in which they closed the account. Proof via email and via phone call when I asked them if I owed any extras and they said "no". I then cancel my bank payments to them. A month later they send me a letter saying I owe them £185 and not saying what for. I ring and eventually get told its for GAP insurance shortfall. I complain about why wasn't this all worked into my initial contract. I also can't access my PSA online account as it's saying it's closed. I then get a charge yesterday for £12 for missed payment. Absolute joke. I hope this hasn't affected my credit rating. Avoid.

Absolutely appalling company.

Update 01/01/20 - this is still on going with PSA failing to communicate with the FOS within the 8 weeks, then posting a back dated letter making it look like they had but their 1 mistake was the postage date. Absolutely appalling company. Called in August to cancel a JAF car and sort out the new one, they said it was cancelled. Fast forward a month I’m charged for both cars, I call back and I’m passed from pillar to post from PSA to Peugeot insurance after an hour I get a lady who said she’s cancelled its all done. Fast forward another month I’m charged again. I call back spend another hour being passed around told it’s not PSA it’s Peugeot insurance that do it a visa versa I didn’t get anywhere with them. After a number of calls I’m told it’s finally cancelled fast forward another month I’m charged again. I’ve now got nowhere regarding this and have been passed around again, put on hold for nearly an hour at a time and nobody actually picking the call back up so I’ve hung up in them end, it’s not a cheap number to call. Now I want to claim my stolen money back and oh my it’s not easy. I made a complaint in August but wasn’t taken seriously after the second payment was stolen I emailed an official complaint in, I've been told they didn’t get a complaint until October 4th which is a lie as they responded to my September one. They have now said the insurance wasn’t cancelled until October 4th so another payment is due which I’m not paying. They gave me a refund of one payment but a week later sent me a letter asking for it back!! I mean wth is this company doing!? I’ve had to do a charge back via my bank and get the financial ombudsman involved. Literally because they couldn’t cancel insurance on a car I’ve not had for 3 months, it can’t be that hard!? Do not use this company they are lying, thieving **** . And judging by the reviews they do it a lot. I will not be taking another car out after this.
