Review summary
PSA Finance UK Limited has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
I have been using PSA Financial Services Limited for two years now following a recommendation to seek advice on ameliorating all of my work pensions.
Raividas Jay has met with me to undertake a review of my pension plans and the trends for each year as my financial circumstances might change occasionally.
The meetings are informal and are geared towards securing the best outcome for me rather than anyone else so is truly independent of other interests which is great.
I would highly recommend them as a company and for the support their staff provide.
Absolutely disgusted with this company! With all that’s going on you’d think they’d be willing to help out like lots of other companies but no. They’re response to “can I take a payment holiday as I have to self isolate” is no , get a cheaper car” !! Disgusting
Sarah in customer service was extremely helpful, polite and sufficiently helpful. I’ve been paying my car finance for 3 years no and late wee li was the first time I’d had to contact PSA. I was taken back by the reviews and left me a bit optimistic if I want to make a partial settlement or continue with my normal term. However Sarah has ordered what she agreed and followed up with what I had asked. She then informed me I needed to wait for a stage 2 agent to follow up with a term calculation what followed on shortly after. All in all, I’m happy with the service. Thanks Sarah

Would give minus stars if possible. Had Citroen Relay on 2or lease. Bought the van at the end of the lease as I didn't want to deal with this shower of s..t ever again. Had a purchase figure. Paid it. Happy days. Soon after I received a letter from a debt recovery company for a random figure of 1000 plus for2 MISSED payments. Payments on lease were 312pm. None missed. This was the first I heard of this and it came for a debt recovery company!. Thought it was a mistake so ignored it. Low and behold I recieved another letter from debt recovery for same amount but now for damage to the van. I bought the bloody thing so there was damage inspection needed or done obviously. Telephoned and explained. We'll speak to PSA and call you back. No call came. E emailed debt recovery. No reply. Surprise surprise! Week later new demand for excess mileage 500 plus. This week yet another demand for the original amount threatening me with county court action. I have never encountered anything like it in my life. CROOKS
Possible - score for review. Great way to get my first car, AWFUL end. Charged almost £1000 for ‘missed services’ which in fact had been done every year I had the car. Impossible to get anywhere as once I contacted them (the day it was taken) they claimed they had already taken a loss as the car was sold. DOUBTFUL if they had as many repairs as the claimed also!! Lots of pressure put on a single parent early twenties. Would not recommend to anyone
They should have a minus 5 rating for this company! If only I'd read the reviews beforehand. I have had an on-going dispute with PSA Finance over the past 2 years! They charged me for a missed service - £220 even though I was well under the mileage required since the previous service and was told by the service receptionist at Marshalls that they would service when I return the vehicle. They charged me £497 for damage - that you would need a microscope to see, £90 valet as well as £369 insurance for returning the vehicle. Obviously I've disputed this and have probably spoken to every member of staff in PSA! They have forwarded the debt to another agency who have told me to call PSA Finance again! The debt collectors actually asked (on my behalf) what the current debt of £267.19 relates to and they have come back with 'damage and or excess mileage.' Hilarious as I was actually 4,000 miles under!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS, THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST! I too will be sending this to WATCHDOG.
Impossible to get in contact, customer service email they provide is void.
Never answer the phone. Trying to make over payments to finance payments. Do it on line, they say 3 working days and never get back to you, or take the payment.
It's like a fortress that does not work for the customer
Never had any problems until my most recent car went back. I got a bill for £200 for missed services. When I called they said I was supposed to get a service every 10000 miles, however this was for a 1.0 engine and mine was a 1.2 so only needed it every 16000. I was told I still hadn't had enough services as there were only 2 stamps in the book. I said that's not right and she looked again and said oh yes, there is a 3rd one. So rather than apologise for incorrectly charging me, they waived the charge 'as a gesture of goodwill'. Not impressed!
17 years of being an excellent customer and then treated like a criminal
I have been with Peugeot over 15 years having taken out a number of Financial agreements with PSA finance. Up until my last car it all went smoothly as each car was part-ex'd with the same dealership. On my last agreement I decided to hand the car back after its 3 years on PCP had come to an end and I fancied going with another car manufacturer. On return of the vehicle I had outstanding charges and was notified by letter. I phoned PSA finance and settled the amount (or so I thought!) and I was informed I had zero balance and my business with PSA had been concluded. I informed PSA finance that since all payments had been made and outstanding charges I would be cancelling the direct debit and they did not challenge this. This was back in late October. Today (Jan 24th) I received through the post a very sinister and nasty letter informing me that they had taken action to send an amount owing to a Debt Recovery Agency and that this would damage my credit rating for 6 years. When I phone PSA finance they informed me that the amount of £170 was still outstanding for the GAP insurance. I had assumed that payment was taken from my bank account back in late October especially when I was informed my agreement was showing as zero balance. Apparently PSA had been trying to take the £170 from my bank account after I was told everything was settled!
They did not write to me to inform me of their difficulties in obtaining the £170 and I had no idea there was a problem.
Having been a long term customer with Peugeot and PSA finance I was utterly shocked especially as the language used in the letter was nothing short of intimidation and a threatening behaviour. What was worse is not being told there was a problem.
The amount was quickly settled on the phone however PSA finance would not rule out if I was to receive any further demands for payment from this Debt recovery agency. I made a formal complaint with them.
I would never ever go back with Peugeot nor PSA finance.
I am waiting to see if there are any further developments and if so I will have no hesitation to take legal action and to take matters further to the Financial Conduct Authority.
A truly horrible experience that I hope no one else has to go through
Honestly the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered and I will never be buying a Peugeot on finance again as a result.
Agents are frequently rude and intentionally unhelpful. One of the agents argued on the phone with me telling me I couldn't end my agreement early, I wanted to end early as I was on a 25 month contract (which was not made clear or what I agreed with the Peugeot dealer), my insurance etc ran out in month 24 so I had a car that I couldn't drive for a month. PSA finance insisted that I still had to pay £200 service charge and £50 MOT before handing the vehicle back. If it wasn't for me standing up for myself and insisting to speak to someone else as I had a right to give me vehicle back early I would have had to pay this.
The people that inspected the car have found damage that is honestly invisible to the average person, they are obviously trained to look for such damage. I bought my car 2nd hand, it was 2 years old and have had it for another 2 years. I pointed out this damage could've have been there before I purchased the vehicle. They do not do a report when you purchase the car, just at the end and I have been advised, by PSA, ' when I purchase the vehicle I purchase it with any damage and it's my responsibility to get this fixed'. I pointed out this is completely bias in favour of PSA as the level of inspection when I purchased is not the same level at the end, the inspectors are trained to look for things that the average person will honestly never see! I opened a dispute about the damages and I have since received no correspondence about the dispute being looked into but have received 2 letters saying that they 'are obliged to issue a defaults sum notice in relation to these charges' and they will try to collect sums. The dispute has now ended and they of course concluded that I owe them the full amount which is £640.
I have had to call them a minimum of every week for 3 weeks in December. It is honestly a day ruining experience every single time.
As a previous review said, I would rather walk than go through this stressful, and horrifically bias experience ever again.
I cannot even verbalise how terrible they are and I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid them. The strain this has put on me having constantly fight my corner is insane.
