I have been using PSA Financial…

I have been using PSA Financial Services Limited for two years now following a recommendation to seek advice on ameliorating all of my work pensions. Raividas Jay has met with me to undertake a review of my pension plans and the trends for each year as my financial circumstances might change occasionally. The meetings are informal and are geared towards securing the best outcome for me rather than anyone else so is truly independent of other interests which is great. I would highly recommend them as a company and for the support their staff provide.

Mis-sold a Pugeot lease

I recently found out one year into a lease agreement for a Pugeot 3008 that I have been mis-sold. Tolga (Tony) Hussein at the Chingford Robins and Day dealership sold us a 3 year lease, on which the original quote included a cost for servicing and maintenance and the final contract included a cost for maintenance. We also verbally confirmed multiple times with Tony that the contract included servicing and maintenance and that the only additional cost would be for insurance. So I was very surprised when taking the car in for its first service to be told I had to pay £200+ as servicing was not included on my contract and that 'maintenance' referred to contract (rather than vehicle) maintenace. My complaint of mis-selling was rejected with no discussion from either the dealership or PSA finance and I will be referring to the financial ombudsman. Beware when taking out a contract to ensure that you are not similarly mis-sold.

Awful company that use generated…

Awful company that use generated letters to customers. After contacting them about my late father's car we are still having problems. I complained about their poorly written letter which was obviously written for customer who want to give up their lease early rather than a bereavement. Then to make matters worse having paid the outstanding £813 via cheque as requested they took a DD payment of £813 as well, without informing they were going to do this. This came out of my mums account who is a pensioner so she's paid twice. Then when I explained this to them apparently they had time travelled to next Tuesday and had done a vehicle check with the damage being over £1k!!! My dads car is in mint condition, and they have lied to cover their backs. Im awaiting their phone call back to.see what is going on and if they are going to send back the money that doesn't belong to them.

Unprofessional, uncaring and disorganised

Bought a new car through PSA in 2018, came to the end of contract and they are the most disorganised and unprofessional agency I have every dealt with. Marked me as it payment arrears when THEY couldn't collect the vehicle due to COVID and destroyed my credit score. Then later informed me that I still owed them money when I had been repeatedly been assured that everything was paid off. I spoke to about 7 different people in total and all of them told me conflicting information. Disaster. Avoid at all costs and save yourself the headache. I have used various lenders over the years including VW and Alphera and they aren't just miles ahead, it's a whole other league. I real shame as the dealership I got the car from in Bristol was excellent from start to finish. If you can only get finance through PSA then don't buy it.

Complacent and uncaring

This company made the return of a vehicle an extremely stressful experience. My vehicle on a PCP (I'll never use it again) was due to be returned on 27 May 2020. I heard nothing from PSAF and had to contact them several times to find out what was happening. I had mixed messages from them until 26 May came I was still in the dark. I rang them and they told me the Collecting Company was closed until 1 June. No one had bothered to tell me but they were still intending to try and take the 'balloon' payment out of my account. It would have failed and thus a 'missed payment' will potentially be placed on my credit record. The car was eventually collected on 2 June and it took five days for the balloon payment to be removed from my account to show zero owed. Nevertheless, I received four letters from them demanding the final payment, one of them was threatening. They dismissed this because the letters were 'computer generated'! Why doesn't someone (ie a human being) intervene and stop the computer doing this? A one size fits all computer system cannot deal properly with all the many situations created by humans. There is no room for any discretion and judgement. PSAF dismissed my written complaint, saying they had followed all the procedures laid down by the government and were not to blame. But I had to do all the chasing; they did nothing but hang me out to dry. Did they expect me to read their minds? The letter I received dismissing my complaint missed the point completely and was arrogant. Basically, they used the pandemic as a means of get out and told me to go away. Will never deal with PSAF again and would warn others to avoid them. Complacent and poor customer service.

Worst company I've ever dealt with - AVOID.

You only have to look at the published number of complaints on their website over a 6 month period to see what kind of company PSA Finance are - that many people can't be wrong! Communication is appalling - when you want to get in touch with them it's impossible, but when they want to get in touch with you they spam your letterbox with threatening and poorly worded letters demanding money from you (which in most cases you don't even owe - their communication is just so bad internally that different departments have different messages). The way they have dealt with the collection period during Covid is absolutely atrocious, and doesn't feel right at all. I was charged a 'cancellation fee' after an inspection had to be cancelled and declined signing the letter stating the charges due because I did not agree (I'm a reasonable guy and have clear justification for this). Despite putting my case forward they have stated 'if you are in disagreement with the charges you should pay these in full to avoid further charges. If we believe we are at fault we will reimburse.' What they're really saying is 'as soon as we receive the charges we will remove your complaint.' What is the point in me disputing the charges if they're going to threaten to charge me more for complaining? I will be contacting the Ombudsman. Just a complete joke of a company, rotten to its core. Please learn from my mistake!

Avoid like Coronavirus

Shocking company, been waiting nearly 3 months to have my car collected at end of contract No problem with that under the circumstances, prepare car for collection, and engine warning light comes on. Probably as a result of not being driven for such a long time. Am told they won't collect in this condition and it's my responsibility to fix, even though the fault occurred 2 months after my contract ended All this despite me having to store, clean, and insure the car for this period at my cost Send them an email, takes days to reply, then if you try to respond to their answer you receive a message telling you this query has been resolved please submit a new one. Just shoved from pillar to post, don't need a post-lockdown haircut I think I've pulled it all out

Had a car with PSA Finance

Had a car with PSA Finance, end of the 3 year contract car went back, and i will say in pristine condition with only 10,000miles on the clock. The contract was for no more than 24,000miles. No inspection when the car was picked up. both keys /service history and log book all passed over to the collection team. Low and behold a bill arrived for 1 missing key, no log book and a missed service. I had to contact the collection team who emailed me a picture of the booking in form from the auction showing all keys/log book and service documents were all there. In total they wanted me to pay 400 quid for no reason. I call this highway robbery. Keep well clear, if i knew before taking the contract out what they were like, i would`nt have touched them with a barge pole.
