If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, trust me, I would this car company is probably one of the worst companies in America comes to service. They have no etiquette when it comes to business and taking care of customers they lie and try to blame customers for their deficiency, I rented the car to show up at the place just for the card not to be available in the associate. Try to blame me because I was late even though I was at the location before closed I called customer service to come to find out that she had lied to 24 hours to pick up your car not supposed to find a car and I’ll just tell you sorry you’re on a clock. That’s what this associate did then proceeded to call customer service And get an explanation why I did not have a car come to find out they did not have cars at that location for the entire day and the associate lied to me at the station they escalated my case to supposedly a regional manager to help me out and I never received a single call from any manager or any person Place companies like this eventually go out of business because they forget the customers are really what they fix their competency in terms of dealing with the public. I’ve only had one other customer service interaction that was worse than this, and that was with American Airlines where they lie to their customers to cover their ass like national car rental buyer beware looking through your history. It looks like they do not give a shit about their customers.

I placed an online booking through our…

I placed an online booking through our corporate account on Thursday, 10th July. To my disappointment, I didn’t receive any communication until Saturday morning—only to be told that the vehicle I booked wasn’t available. This last-minute notice was frustrating enough, but what followed was completely unacceptable. The staff member who contacted me, claiming to be the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the call. She spoke over me repeatedly, wouldn’t allow me to explain my situation, and her tone was downright abusive. As a regular customer who has rented from various Enterprise branches for years, I was shocked by this behaviour. If this is the standard of customer service from someone in a managerial position, it raises serious questions about the training and leadership at this branch. A manager should be setting the tone for professionalism—not contributing to a toxic experience. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this branch in future. I highly recommend others do the same until clear improvements are made in customer service and communication.

Beware National Roadside Assistance. Pay for the roadside when you rent

The branch employees themselves, outstanding. National's Roadside assistance is awful. The big slogan is your safety is our priority yet they made me put a donut on the rental jacking up my back and having me drive through East Saint Louis on Hwy 70 going 40 mph with the hazard lights on. No one in E St Louis cares if you have an issue. Better get out of the way. Probably the most harrowing experience of my life. One of the 5 people I spoke to in Roadside even hung up on me because I told him I was not pulling over on that hwy and calling the police.

Good overall experience

We had a good overall experience with National Car-rentals. The booking process was smooth and the pickup was quick and efficient. During our trip, the car had a few minor mechanical issues, which was a bit inconvenient, but nothing that seriously affected our plans. What really stood out, however, was the service we received upon returning the vehicle. The staff member Mrs Sierrah D.Davisson, was incredibly professional and understanding. She listened to our concerns, apologized for the inconvenience, and handled the situation with great care and efficiency. Her friendly and helpful attitude really made a difference and left us with a positive impression despite the small issues with the car. Thank you again, especially to Mrs Sierrah D.Davisson, for the excellent customer service!

Booked a 9 seater from exeter airport back in April to arrive to collect it yesterday to then be told they don't have one and they are to hard to get.. no correspondence nothing, the person who had been communicating named Tyler the assistant manager had only just confirmed the car on 28th May but of course he was nowhere to be seen yesterday! Tried to give us a 7 seater - we had 6 people travelling with 6 cases so it wasn't going to work, the girl we delt with couldn't care less didnt even want to try and help us find a similar car, couldn't give us a refund there and then leaving us all stranded.. worst experience ever do not book through them! They are also still advertising the car but apparently have never had them as they are to hard to get.

Rip off

We thought it was quite value for our money, until we saw the contract we had signed - without then telling us we had paid 250€ for car insurance we said we didn't want or need! They took the money for the insurance at the same time as the money for the deposit. Im furious, and will NEVER use this company again!!! There was much back and forth with the contract and the signing - and when we eventually got to sign they did not inform us about additional payments.

Avoid Segovia Branch and this company at all costs!

Segovia Branch. We booked an automatic scenic, and got a bumped, dented and in really bad conditions opel one. The explanation? They don’t have an automatic car, they don’t have a scenic, that’s what they can offer. How can a company act like this? This is such a disrespect with their customer! Avoid them at all costs!

National Rental Cars - Terrible Experience!!!

"Without Prejudice" Booked a National Van Rental in Victoria through RentCars and was specifically looking for "Unlimited Kilometers" but when I went to pick up the Panel Van, National Service Agent named Stephanie (Who was polite throughout the interaction calling me "MAM" every second word but she was in no way interested in doing the right thing - She was only concerned that National got all the money that they could out of me) Stephanie informed me that I would be paying $.35/km!!!!! As Stephanie was spending so much time surfing the web to Fact Check my claim that RentCars said that the rental I booked was for unlimited Km's (I always double check this when I book a rental and if it states that I will need to pay for the kilometrers, I ignore that vehicle and keep looking for "Unlitited Km's" ONLY!) Another asian National Agent poked his nose into the situation and between all the joking around and flirting with each other between these two professionals (???), managed to waste about an extra hour of my time - Which really FRIED me because it made me miss the Mill Bay Ferry!!!! Even though the RentCars site that they checked on the internet did not state that there were any charges for Km, they did discover that the Rental Agreement that National has with RentCars states that the kilometers would be subject to National Rent a Car Policies. National Rental agents should have given me the benifit of the doubt and shouldn't have charged me for the kilometers because the contract between National Car Rental and the booking site, RentCars, was not correct for their policy and National should have done me right and they should have made the effort to go to RentCars to clarify the situation for future customers - BUT the National Agents did not make any effort to rectify the wrong that was punitive to me and will be an issue moving forward for the next customer. When I returned the vehicle 2 hours later than my pick up time, National Agent tried to charge me for a full day and then acted so magnanimous, like he was doing me a big favour that he was ONLY charging me the 2hr rate which is National Rent a Cars policy. I don't know if he made a mistake or thought that I was a fool and was trying to scam me?!?! Can't figure out if the Agents were crooks, stupid or just plain lazy as their work ethic and sense of fairness was pitiful. When I went onto TrustPilots site to submit my review about my bad experience, found that National Rental Cars is the worst reviewed rental company that exists and realize that I probably should have checked TrustPilot site to see the terrible reviews that National has and chose a different agency - My Bad!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This firm is clearly scamming its customers as much as possible. I have just been charged £1,300 for a new windscreen replacement for a very minor chip in the windscreen. A few things to note about that: - I only drove the car to a resort and back; never heard a thing in terms of impact so I am really not sure it was me. - The chip is small and right down near the scuttle panel, so no where near the sightline of the driver. So even if it is real, why not just do a chip repair, why replace the entire windscreen?! - The photo they sent of the 'chip' looks like no windscreen chip I have ever seen in my life. It is just a white spot......oddly the same colour white as the pen they have ringed the 'damage' with for the benefit of the photo. What a coincidence. - Even if it is true and the chip does exist and I was driving when it happened, how is a minor chip on the windscreen, not considered 'wear and tear' as per their t&c's? Do yourself a favour, shop else where and put these scammers out of business.
