They didn't honor the $240/year for unlimited data promo I purchased at the same time my wife bought their iPhone 16e for $699 (we are 5-year customers of Mint). Before I bought the plan, a Mint agent told me promo was good for existing and new customers. Turns out the $240/year unlimited offer is for new customers only. Mint agent agreed to refund $240 to us; now, Mint is refusing to refund us or apply $240 to my wife's Mint account. We want to keep the phone since my wife is already using it; just want them to refund our $240 on file there somewhere, or apply to my wife's Mint account since her annual plan is up for renewal in May 2025. Question, Mint... if you keep our hard-earned $240, on what profit line does it go for Mint? Ryan's pocket, a rep's pocket who's refusing the refund? And does it matter that we've had 10 relatives subscribe to Mint in our 5 years with you? If no refund is coming, we are done with Mint. DO THE RIGHT THING... credit our card $240 (we just bought the phone/plan last week) or apply $240 to my wife's account. UPDATE -- Mint replied to my review below with the nicey message, "This is not the experience we want you to have when using our service." In the end, they turned me away and kept my $240 for a plan I can't use (after their rep said I could). Because of this, we are leaving Mint after 5 years and after referring 12 relatives who became Mint subscribers. Mint can't be trusted to do the right thing.
