Simple, Transparent, Easy
I've used Mint Mobile for a year now. I love the transparency about cost. Companies are supposed to tell potential customers the cost for their services, and all too often, when it comes to phone/internet/cable providers, even such simple transparency is difficult to come by. Mint tells you what your cost for the whole year will be, clearly, up front, and without making you get halfway through signing up first. Personally, I'm the sort of person who loves to be able to sign up for a whole year of service at a good price, pay up front, and then not worry about it until it's time to pay again. I don't use much data, so I pay $180 a year for the cheapest plan. If my usage habits change in the future, I will be able to simply pay the difference in price between my current plan and the cost of the next level up in order to upgrade. (After using Mint for a year, this has so far never happened.) Signing up is easy and simple. The app is easy to use and understand. And renewing my plan for another year was easy as well. As for my service coverage, it seems quite similar to the coverage my friends and co-workers have, but they pay a lot more each month than I do. (Admittedly, I live in a semi-rural area, so there are occasionally dead zones, but those are dead zones for everyone, and the folks with the big name carriers also don't get signal in those spots, so it's not really a point against Mint.)
