Mint is a quality service provider at a reasonable price. It also offers some excellent phone deals. What's not to like about that?!

When they sell you, everything sounds great. I wish I had seen these previous reviews first. On 7/29, Mint Mobile charged my card $802.94. This was to cover a Samsung S25 and a year of service. As I a... See more

Affordable coverage and never a problem with a dropped call or internet. So far best wireless company I've been with!
Hello how are you deaf
Communication and cell prices seen to be a market that the people have been conditioned to believe cost a certain amount. Conditioned by rate increases and fees. Changing to Mint helped me break through that belief! If it cost the company x amount to give someone service. Then why pay more?
It’s easy I pay once a year
Ive been unable to port my number from ATT after following their instructions. Im an IT manager, so I know how this is supposed to work. They are unreachable for help at 645 PM CST. One should take heed at the other reviews here; their support is garbage.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I became a Mint Mobile customer way back in 2022. I had been happy with the price and the cell quality/coverage. So, I referred my sister; she then referred her husband. All was well. In late Dec 2024, I referred my Mom. Fast forward to April 2025, I went to renew my plan but realized my referral credit was not there. I called customer service to resolve the situation. The first person looked into the account, saw that my previous referrals were valid. However, their “automated system” says that my Mom did not use the correct referral link that I e-mailed. Not so; I helped her do it myself, which I had also done twice previously. The Service Rep’s response was “Nothing we can (will) do because the correct link wasn’t followed.” I appealed this response and after 30 minutes of articulating my case (I have already referred 2 people, clearly my intent was to refer my MOM, and records show she is an active customer. I have no control over if the “automated system” correctly counted the referral link or not.) I was then transferred to the “Special Credit Referral Dept.” You know what that means. Yep, I was transferred to the person sitting right next to this Rep. These are scummy scam-like practices! The next 30 minutes was a verbatim rehash of the previous conversation. I requested an escalation to a supervisor and was DENIED! They absolutely REFUSED to let me speak with anyone other than the Tier 0 entry-level-script-reading-representative. After my response that I brought 3 people over, I can (will) take 4 people away just as easily, we entered the “negotiating” phase. Basically, they cannot (will not) give me the full credit referral amount ($90), but they can give me 4 months “free” ($60) when I renew NEXT YEAR (2026)! Now, I am aware most people would take the deal, after all, something is better than nothing. But I felt compelled to heed the advice of a rather famous businessman who wrote the book on negotiating: “Sometimes it pays to be bold, and even a little wild.”, especially when you know you are being treated unfairly. I adamantly declined the offer, only willing to accept the FULL referral credit ($90). Again, all the evidence clearly shows my intent to refer my Mom. Why should I be penalized for something completely out of my control, such as a computer glitch that doesn’t communicate the referral link to their system? Their next offer was to credit me the ($60) THIS year (2025), and then give me 2 months free ($30) NEXT YEAR (2026). The catch, I had to agree to renewing over the phone right then and there. Nope, not tricking me with that one! I expressed my concern with agreeing to the deal, and fully trusting that their “notes” recommending the 2 free months would even be in the system next year. I have had too many experiences with customer service of all varieties, especially cell providers, where my many multitudes of previous calls were mysteriously absent from the system! My final offer was to credit the full amount for the referral ($90) here and now or I WILL be switching myself and 3 others to alternate services. They are willing to lose 4 customers over refusing to honor a $90 referral credit. (A weird side note: They were oddly concerned about where I would be switching over to. I was repeatedly asked several questions about which providers I might consider, how long I had been researching alternatives, and other similar questions. I found that very odd. It tells me that this must happen a lot! Also, sometimes I could barely hear the rep because everyone in the background was yelling and shouting over everyone else. This sounds like a “Boiler Room” setup.) They finally transferred me to a “supervisor” . . . which went straight to voicemail. I described my problem and dissatisfaction and have not gotten a response. This is the opposite of good customer service. I cannot (will not) refer anyone to Mint Mobile. Poor Customer Service is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!
I don't expect supersonic stellar coverage with any carrier..that said even though mint is an mnvo 2nd priority I get coverage in many areas that verizon started failing in... I now get it in the mountain and down by the lake..very few spotty areas Customer service without fail picks up my calls within 30 seconds..everything. They may make me feel like they will fix my problem..like my phone would disconnect from the network sometimes and it would take several calls to fix...but they're fast!! Friendly!! Mostly..the cost is tremendously lower..just watch out for getting involved in the mint family...it's good..but u cannot opt out of auto pay..so make sure u have the exact plan u want before the pay date...keep good track.. I missed mine..but talked to supervisor to get refund and switched to correct plan..good luck!
My international plan was not great. When I was not using the WiFi at the place I was staying, the internet was sporadic and could not always use it.
Worst decision ever! Worst service! Unable to make/receive calls or use data most days. Contacted customer service and told "we are having issues with your local cell tower", ok so what's the issue when I am NOT at home! Will not be renewing after 3mos.
I appreciate the quality of the phone service and data at a price that beats all of the competition.
Used Mint for 3 months to test it out. Okay overall, but spotty service outside of the metro area. On the fence for renewal, I then realized my referral credit was missing from the initial sign-up. Called and customer service told me it would be available within 24-48 hours. Fourteen days later, still no credit. Called again. This time, after countless holds and exchange of irrelevant information, they said there was no order number, so I couldn't get the credit. Literally ZERO flexibility on their end to keep three new customers. Cancelled all three accounts. Math: missing referral credits = $60. Potential annual renewal $180 x 3 accounts = $540. Total revenue lost: $540 - $60 = $480. And that's just year one! Who runs a business like that? Sad.
Do not buy any phone plan from these provider. They will lure you into buying their plans with attractive offers but then once you buy you will realize their customer service is terrible. I got a yearly plan which l wanted to cancel since l wanted to switch to a different carrier. While buying the yearly plan the customer service representative assured me that l can cancel the plan anytime and would get a refund for the remaining period. But after canceling the plan l followed-up multiple times with the customer service and went through proper escalation to get a refund. Finally, the customer service confirmed me that l would get the refund. It has been more than a year but l never got the refund. I have initiated a credit card dispute now and l am frustrated with their false promise and customer service.
My kid helped me set up my new provider. Mint made it easy enough that I possibly could have done it myself. I am retired and do not have a large technology background. The price and features make it easier for me to use the phone. Informational emails help me, without trying to up sell everything.
Easy to refill time, good coverage fair prices.
Mint responded by suggesting “call 800 customer service #”. So Mint assumes we as consumers just complain about what happened before even tried to resolve the issue with them? How many hours should we spend just to be fed with lies by CSR on the phone per Mint expectation? Mint wipe out ALL prior material info in the system so CSR from call center located in Dominica Republic & Philippine have no idea what they are talking about based on the misinformation in the system. I have filed complaint with FCC, BBB & popular consumer review sites like this. This is my very 1st review because as consumer I have never experienced such an outrageously wrong situation - Mint steal our prepaid $$ & refuses to correct it upon being caught. There has already been a lawsuit filed in Orange County CA. I will not be surprised if more will come. I share my experience in hope Mint won’t be able to keep stealing by wipe out info in database. **** Below is my initial review **** On 05/03/2024, I made payment for a 12 month service from 06/01/2024 - 05/31/2025. Upon making the payment, I saw the option of making additional payment for 4 month more service. I wanted to change my renewal date from spring to fall due to my travel schedule. So I took the opportunity to make a 2nd payment for service from 06/01/2025 - 09/30/2025. Credit card statement shows these two separate payments. I was able to see the service info when I last checked. Because it is the prepaid plan & I had no issue with Mint Mobile since 2018 so I rarely login my Mint Mobile app. Today 04/30/2025 I received renewal notice via text message. It is very odd as my renewal should be 09/30/2025 or 10/01/2025. I made 3 calls to Mint Mobiles talking to 5 people, 2 of which are from Escalation Team. The information provided to me was Nothing but Lies. After I refuted each of their lies, I was told that the 2nd payment was for a service upgrade, which I never needed, never agreed, never was made aware of. I feel hopeless &helpless as consumer when Mint Mobile Unilaterally wiped out every record in the app & changed info full of lies. I was not aware of the undergoing merger/acquisition on 05/03/2025. Upon hearing the change of ownership from the news, I didn't think business actually will steal our money by change the data/info in the app to make up the lies. As of now, it is not about $63.82. It is principle - can American consumers be at ease that we are protected by respective governing laws so big business will not screw us? If they still $64 from me, what if they steal $64 from all of their 4 million customers? That is a $256 million grand theft? Most people probably won't even notice when they double pay because renewal should be in another 4 months. This is not about $64 or $256 million. As of today 04/30/2025, nothing in the app has the previous information that shows what actually happened. Last when I checked, the prepaid amount was shown in the app. Now it is all gone! This is grand theft & Mint Mobile is stealing from its customers. This needs to be stopped & Mint Mobile needs to be held accountable! This is not how Mint Mobile should conduct its business!
Data service just isn't great at alland availability of mobile service is also very spotty. Hope it gets better soon! Happy to give a better rating if and when things improve. You get what you pay for with Mint Mobile.
I'm new but it's been great so far. Plan on staying awhile at these prices.
I like service very much.
Mint is awesome thank you so much for the service!
