the 2 operators were just perfect... they made me feel less afraid and explained everything to me... i had to push the button several times and was to hold....it took about a minute for someone to t talk to me....
Prompt response from 911.
I recently fell in my driveway and ultimately broke my hip. I pushed the button and was able to speak to someone and an ambulance was dispatched. My daughter was called and I was already enroute to the hospital and she was able to meet me there.
It seemed to take forever to get connected to a live person. Finally, when we were told that the police would be dispatched, it took almost another half hour for them to arrive. When they did arrive, they told us that it is almost always faster just to call 911 instead of going through a service like yours.
I am writing on behalf of my mother, Barbara West, who syncoped and fell down and broke several ribs on 3/31/24. She had her bracelet on but it did not trigger a response from you, but I'm not sure if it is supposed to. She wasn't wearing the necklace because she is prone to set it off in error. She did not press the bracelet button, but managed to call me and I got there in 5 minutes. I could see she needed medical assistance so I immediately pushed the bracelet button and got a call from you within 30 seconds. I asked you to send for medical personnel and they arrived about 7-8 minutes later, got her stabilized and called for amulance.
It took 3 pushes on her device and 2 minutes for someone to answer. Susan is my mom and I am her contact person. Your company called me said that my mother pushed button three times, she thought it was a heart attack and ems was dispatched. When can I get to her location and make and model of my car/ color. My mom arrived at emergency room unresponsive and blue!! My mother does not know if she feels safe with your device. 2 minutes to answer a phone is way to long for a person in a dire need. So I am not happy with the service. Donna Lohmeyer
It takes too long for an agent to acknowledge the pressing of my button/alarm. Should not have to listen to does and don'ts before a live person is on the line.
When I felled on the floor twice, my wrist medical alert was the only thing I had on.
FRAUD . ALL THEY O IS PREY ON SENIORS. I AHEV HAD ENOUGH, I WILL PLANT THIS ALL OVER THE WEB. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE LETCHS THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU IN FULL. I HAVE AN ATTORNEY NOW SUING THEM. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD THEY WILL USE IT FOR THERE OWN PEROSANL USE.. STAY AWAY
The service was OK, but when we canceled, they calculated the refund from the date they received the equipment return, not from the date it was canceled and placed in shipment. In effect, my Mom paid a for a whole month at the end that she only had the service for 5 days because it was packed up and shipped. They refused to prorate it. Do not recommend this company!!!!
Member for many years. Fine until this year. Lots of emails reminding me to renew. No response to two questions once Id renewed. No purse MedicAlert card in renewal paperwork. No quote for re engraving - its so worn its illegible. No excuse for it as it doesnt take long to reply to an email.
Do not use this company unless you never plan to cancel it. I followed all of the procedures for returning the equipment and cancelling the service when it was no longer needed. In August 2019, It took excessive wait times on the phone and 2 credit card disputes to get them to stop billing me . Yesterday, 9/2/20, I got a bill for 2 years! After waiting on the phone for over an hour, they said disregard the billed amount for 2 years of service because I did cancel service and returned the equipment over a year ago. However they said I still had to pay $19.95 for the time of cancellation and their receipt of the equipment. When asked why they waited over a year to tell me this, they said it was due to my credit card disputes. Bottomline....poor customer service, difficult to stop billing after the equipment is returned, and failure to notify you of any prorated balance after telling you everthing was taken care of over a year ago!
