Title: Extremely Disappointed – Deception on a Brand New Device (Order M9164537) I sent Mazuma Mobile a brand new, sealed Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra on June 19th. It was a UK insurance replacement, unused and still in its original packaging – I simply didn’t need it. To my shock, I received an email claiming the phone had “screen burn”, which is absolutely false AND IMPOSSIBLE Thankfully, I had taken time-stamped photos before shipping, showing: The device was new and undamaged The phone turned on displaying the IMEI number onmdifferent colour displays. No screen burn or other faults whatsoever. Screen burn happens after years of use how can that possibly be on an unused phone? Despite this, Mazuma then offered me £250, which I promptly rejected. I requested the phone be returned. It arrived back on the 26th in a plain card envelope, with none of the original box or accessories, and was damaged. This mishandling is on Mazuma, not Royal Mail, who were blamed in a follow-up email from someone named Ita Whittam who has not followed up on my emails. To be thorough, I had the device inspected by a Samsung engineer. The report confirms: No screen burn I’ve now submitted all evidence – including photos, Samsung’s report, and correspondence – to Trading Standards and have filed a County Court summons. Mazuma has been informed. This experience has been nothing short of disgraceful. It appears to be deceptive and potentially fraudulent practice, and I urge others with similar issues to take legal action. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution before court, I will be publishing the summons reference for others to join the case if they wish. Mazuma clearly picked the wrong person to try and cheat. I will not rest until this is resolved properly. I do not trust this company and cannot recommend them to anyone.)
BEWARE!! They will count on you being lazy and accepting a much lower price than promised, £170 down to £40 offer why? Something about non UK MODEL! which it doesn't state anywhere in any kind of view without having to dig through links! Well.pf course I rejected!! Don't be silly when they offer you a fraction you MUST REFUSE these tactics should be illegal! Waste of time effort & money As ti your reply - I spoke.to one of your staff on the phone and they said non uk phone is no differnt it's just your preference to offer less but now your insinuating somehow it being a non UK phone that should impact the process why? Its an officially bought Samsung from the Samsung store and.in the condition.i stated you are just trying to scam people and counting people who need the money!! These tactics are disgusting!!
I am absolutely appalled by Mazuma. They are just scammers to me. I sent in an iPhone XR 128GB and was quoted 80, which I thought was reasonable, however when they received they said there were scratches and offered 20 pounds!! I sent them the images and video I took of the phone before I packaged it all up with the original box - it was genuinely in a great condition as I’ve always used a screen protector and phone case. It was fully working, battery health was still great - no issues at all for a handset of that age and I take pride in that. Knocking 60 off the price because of a couple of small wear and tear scratches is absolute insanity. It’s as if they were expecting a brand new handset. Their customer service sent images of ‘proof’ which were literally barely visible, but a mysterious ‘crack’ had appeared on the phone which wasn’t in my photos. So not sure if that photo was even of my phone… After arguing this, they revised their offer to 30 which I declined due to how they dealt with everything. I am so taken aback by the offer and wish I’d never sent to them, and will never use them again. Beware! Order No: M9164881
Absolute scam of a company avoid at all costs sent in my phone to be quoted £435 and they took it down to £190!! Quoted £150 for my pristine iPhone 12 (64GB, unlocked) — low, but I accepted it for the convenience. Big mistake. Once Mazuma received the phone, they suddenly claimed it had “more than 5 light scratches or is chipped.” Complete nonsense. This phone was in immaculate condition — no chips, no visible scratches, nothing beyond what you’d see straight out of the box. I’ve taken better care of it than they apparently take with their inspections. The worst part? If I disagreed with their fabricated damage claim, I had to pay a fee to get my own phone back. So it’s not really a choice — it’s coercion. They know most people won’t bother with the hassle or the charge, so they slash the offer and keep your phone for less than it's worth. This is not just disappointing — it’s a shady business practice. All i wanted was a fair price. Avoid Mazuma at all costs. Go elsewhere if you want a fair price and honest service.
Tried to claim my iPad had a replacement battery when it most definitely did not and sent me a ridiculously low revised offer. Absolute piss-take.

I’ve used Mazuma and a handful of other similar companies. Mazuma have never reduced their offer. They’re the only one who hasn’t. Always trustworthy, incredibly quick and reliable. I’ve learnt from my past mistakes and will only ever use Mazuma in future.

Criteria was well laid out to help determine the acceptable value category of my phone. The value was given instantly. Postal arrangements were easily understood. Mazuma emailed when they received the package advising of the next stage and the value quoted was the exact payment made that same day. Can’t fault Mazuma and highly recommend using them!
