No even think of changing your provider to this

I port-in from 48 to this because I thought i the offer they had was better, the port-in never happened i called them approximately 20 times in 5 days, wrote emails and the never provided me a solution they just stated “they cannot do anything but follow up” AWFUL SERVICE, do not even think to change your provider to this. Highly not recommended it

Very Disappointed – No Service Abroad After Network Update

I'm very disappointed with Lycamobile Ireland. I'm currently on holiday abroad and my phone number has completely stopped working. I have no internet access, can’t make calls, and can’t send or receive texts. Before the recent network update, I never had any issues using my phone abroad – it always worked smoothly. Now I feel completely disconnected, and it’s frustrating and even unsafe not being able to contact anyone. There was no proper warning or help from Lyca, and I still don’t know what I need to do to fix this. I’m also unsure whether the service will automatically start working again once I return to Ireland. Poor service and lack of support. I expected better.

Extremely Disappointed After Recent Upgrade

After the recent upgrade, my mobile service has become almost unusable. I barely have internet access—around 90% of the time it's either extremely slow or completely unavailable. Before the upgrade, everything was working fine. On top of that, I sometimes don’t receive calls at all. Instead, I get a message saying I missed a call, even though my phone never rang. This is extremely frustrating, especially when expecting important calls. I emailed Lycamobile customer service two weeks ago, but haven’t received any response. The lack of support is unacceptable. Overall, the service has significantly declined since the upgrade, and it’s causing real inconvenience. I hope these issues are addressed urgently.

unreliable with little to no customer service

I have had recurring issues with Lyca for almost a year now. After the activation process didn´t work and I contacted them via phone (do expect to wait a solid 30min to get through to someone that may or may not be able to help you) they managed to at least get my plan up and running. However since then I have on multiple occasions lost complete connection (signal/internet etc.) for up to 48h in a row. My phone either shows "no sim" or "no signal" and no restart, turning the eSIM on/off or flight mode has helped. I have again tried to call to resolve this to no avail. This is my final straw and I will change provider now.

Network problem, new sim, port old number

I recently had problem with my simcard. It was broken and became not registered to a network. Lycamobile customer representative was always attentive to my sim issue. They did try their best to help out. I decided to purchased a new sim card and would like to retain my old number. Customer representative RJ took the call and helped me port my old number to a new sim. I did have difficulties with some instructions but RJ was patient with me. Thanks RJ

SCAM _ unlimited Bundle

As my bundle was due to expire at midnight yesterday, I ensured I had sufficient funds and that auto-renewal was enabled. I received an SMS yesterday morning claiming I had ‘decided’ not to renew. So I called customer service and added my debit card to system as their instruction. But renewal didn't went through and I have again contacted Lyca-Ireland customer center today and customer agents response was I should add the same card which I have used to purchase the sim online. This is never mentioned and your customer agent never mentioned in yesterday call as well. The promotional price required continuous renewal. Since that didn’t happen, I can now only buy the same bundle at twice the price. This has happened before, so it’s clear the “Go Unlimited 10 EUR” offer is a scam—Lyca deliberately makes it impossible to meet the promotion’s terms. Customer service is useless and agent told that she cannot do any other thing from her side. Avoid this terrible company.

When unlimited means limited for fraudsters

Can unlimited mean limited? seemingly does for insincere tricksters sneakily renaming the limit to 'fair use policy', cutting you off to a reduced speed (dial-up speed) without warning and hindering any work/job that depends on you having internet. worse even only three network don't lie or trick you with the infamous 'unlimited' ruse, all the rest are tricksters and one wonders how: How do they get away making something sold as unlimited limited. No respect for consumers.

Be careful. A real scam.

Be careful, it’s a scam. The service is awful. I’m now trying to file a formal complaint. They got my credit card details and refuse to delete them from their system — which means they’re not even complying with EU GDPR laws!

Website is the worst

Karl was helpful from customer service but it took a while to get to customer service and the website was just horrible to use to do something as simple as switch auto renewal off!! I shouldn't have to call customer service to do something as simple as end a plan.

When I asked for a manager, I was put on hold for 25 minutes with no response. Other issues: Unstoppable SMS spam – Despite sending “STOP” to the number provided, it continues. Auto top-up failure – Requires number registration, which also doesn’t work. Reported, but no resolution. Avoid this company. COMREG will be handling this clear case of extortion.

Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service. Their customer agents either don’t know the complete information or they deliberately want to misguide customers. I wanted to transfer my physical sim into an e-sim. On the website, it is mentioned that the process is free if charge but when I request for an e-sim, the portal asked me to but a bundle for min €10. I rang the customer service, a guy over there said that I have to purchase a bundle with e-sim then can request for a refund. I purchased the e-sim with a bundle. Then I again rang the customer service for next step. A girl on the line said that I should transfer using sim swap option in my account. Once the sim swap process is finished, I can then request for a refund. So I followed the process and activated my e-sim with the old number. I then rang the customer service again to request for a refund, another girl on the line said this time that I was misguided and she can’t process my refund request. I was stunned by that while deceiving customer service team response. Don’t ever trust on their advice. Do your own work or leave this company and switch to someone better.

Lyca Mobile: Suddenly Without a Plan – and Customer Service Stays Silent!

Lyca simply changed the payment method and so the unlimited tariff was simply cancelled. After countless attempts to contact the service team by phone and email with no response, I gave up. The hotline no longer forwards you at all, but simply hangs up. What a pity!!! This incident happened in exactly the same way to a friend of mine.
