No even think of changing your provider to this

I port-in from 48 to this because I thought i the offer they had was better, the port-in never happened i called them approximately 20 times in 5 days, wrote emails and the never provided me a solution they just stated “they cannot do anything but follow up” AWFUL SERVICE, do not even think to change your provider to this. Highly not recommended it

Very Disappointed – No Service Abroad After Network Update

I'm very disappointed with Lycamobile Ireland. I'm currently on holiday abroad and my phone number has completely stopped working. I have no internet access, can’t make calls, and can’t send or receive texts. Before the recent network update, I never had any issues using my phone abroad – it always worked smoothly. Now I feel completely disconnected, and it’s frustrating and even unsafe not being able to contact anyone. There was no proper warning or help from Lyca, and I still don’t know what I need to do to fix this. I’m also unsure whether the service will automatically start working again once I return to Ireland. Poor service and lack of support. I expected better.

Extremely Disappointed After Recent Upgrade

After the recent upgrade, my mobile service has become almost unusable. I barely have internet access—around 90% of the time it's either extremely slow or completely unavailable. Before the upgrade, everything was working fine. On top of that, I sometimes don’t receive calls at all. Instead, I get a message saying I missed a call, even though my phone never rang. This is extremely frustrating, especially when expecting important calls. I emailed Lycamobile customer service two weeks ago, but haven’t received any response. The lack of support is unacceptable. Overall, the service has significantly declined since the upgrade, and it’s causing real inconvenience. I hope these issues are addressed urgently.

unreliable with little to no customer service

I have had recurring issues with Lyca for almost a year now. After the activation process didn´t work and I contacted them via phone (do expect to wait a solid 30min to get through to someone that may or may not be able to help you) they managed to at least get my plan up and running. However since then I have on multiple occasions lost complete connection (signal/internet etc.) for up to 48h in a row. My phone either shows "no sim" or "no signal" and no restart, turning the eSIM on/off or flight mode has helped. I have again tried to call to resolve this to no avail. This is my final straw and I will change provider now.

I can call and send text messages but…(fixed)

I can call and send text messages but the internet does not work. It is not possible to get info or help from your CS. EDIT: After my original post Lycamobile contacted me with the solution which actually worked. Thank you for that and I am rising my rating. However, it will be good if you post such solutions to problems directly on your website.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. I have waiting in the queue for ages before they just ended the call. Sent an email explaining my issues to just receive one back asking what my issues were. Want to return to my original provider because with this level of service it's not worth it.

No more internet after "upgrade"

After the supposed "upgrade" to the network i can no longer access the internet. Calls and text seem to be fine but it says i have great connection but i cant seem to get any internet. Could someone from the team or i might need to change providers.

Awful - but better after Trustpilot review

Awful. When it works, it works. But when something goes wrong, appalling. Two months ago I topped up my number with a one year plan. Since then nothing has worked, no service at all. When I call in, it keeps you on hold for exactly 30 minutes. Not a second more, not a second less, then cuts you off. Try to log in to my account with the password I know to be correct. Account blocks for an hour. Forgot my password option, it says my date of birth is incorrect. Reset my password by email? Promises to send me instructions but then nothing. Nobody replies to the online chat. How is this company still in business? Really frustrating Updated review: July 1st Lyca replied to my review asking me to get in contact, which I did. They were extremely helpful and resolved my issue. Once complete, they asked if I could change my review. I've increased my rating from one star to two. As I explained to the agent who helped me, it shouldn't take me having to write a Trustpilot review to be able to connect with them. There's still a lot of work for them to do (like set up a customer service process that actually works). But do need to at least credit them for the work they have done since my review.

This company is a scam and the Irish…

This company is a scam and the Irish authorities are blind or being tricked by Lycamobile. My number was restored but they are asking me to save my credit card in their system which is ILLEGAL! Lycamobile likes to steal money because when I topped up 5 Euros just to keep my number the credit suddenly disappeared, just like from the plan where I was supposed to have 300 minutes on the €10 tariff but half of the numbers were charged as calls in Ireland. Support doesn't answer emails, they don't answer other emails, you can't call them (probably thousands of thank you phones from all over the world). No help, no service. Even though the competition is expensive, I'm going away. The interesting thing is that the phone was in my hospital and they still called from it? Like really? To the ICU? It's a scam!!!

Update network

A week in advance I received about 5 text messages that there will be a network update. I say ok - interested in the customer. Today I received a message that the update has been completed and I have to restart the phone. I can call well, text messages go through, but the internet does not work. Customer service 0, I want to call you back = I don't have the nerve. They don't respond to emails even though it says 24/7. I also wrote to the trustpilot address and nothing. I restart the phone like a madman and I have no service. Really great service.... 🤮 So dear, if I don't work by 29.6. you have lost a customer and I will recommend everyone I know to leave. Because your services are a nightmare. UPDATE: The only one who responded to my complaints was the team at Trustpilot. For which I thank you. They sent me instructions on what to do to set it up. And the internet works. So I'm raising the rating. But it would be good to think about customer service... Update 17/07/2025 After email communication with trustpilot, the internet problem was resolved. Thank you Karthikeyan for your willingness and patience with an angry customer. I recommend continuing to focus on customer service and listening to people more...

Poor Cs, poor coverage

Lack of data speeds, now unable to send or take calls or texts. Can't even port out as need to receive a text to complete. The CS can barely speak English which just complicates things even more. Avoid

Avoid this company.

Avoid this company. Terrible customer service! They disconnected my phone number from their network as it was not used for some time, I had this SIM card for more than 6 years and they just recycled my number without any reason or warning and after they took my money for a top up! Disgrace. The man who answered the phone was more than unhelpful, rude even. Avoid!

Unable to port my current number then automatically charging me on a pay as you go package

I purchased a pay as you go sim card in early May 2025. For some reason unknown to me Lyca could not port my number from my old provider. I rang several times and received two reference numbers on this issue without success. Lyca simply didn't know why they couldn't port my number. I then gave up and went to another provider who ported the number within 24 hours. Lyca then took €9 euro automatically from my account for a second month bundle. I rang to cancel and received another complaint reference number. They then refused the refund saying I used the bundle even though I didn't. Have lodged another complaint requesting my refund based on the fact that I didn't use their service and it was supposed to be a Pay as you go package. I will update this review if I receive the €9 refund as promised.
