No even think of changing your provider to this

I port-in from 48 to this because I thought i the offer they had was better, the port-in never happened i called them approximately 20 times in 5 days, wrote emails and the never provided me a solution they just stated “they cannot do anything but follow up” AWFUL SERVICE, do not even think to change your provider to this. Highly not recommended it

Very Disappointed – No Service Abroad After Network Update

I'm very disappointed with Lycamobile Ireland. I'm currently on holiday abroad and my phone number has completely stopped working. I have no internet access, can’t make calls, and can’t send or receive texts. Before the recent network update, I never had any issues using my phone abroad – it always worked smoothly. Now I feel completely disconnected, and it’s frustrating and even unsafe not being able to contact anyone. There was no proper warning or help from Lyca, and I still don’t know what I need to do to fix this. I’m also unsure whether the service will automatically start working again once I return to Ireland. Poor service and lack of support. I expected better.

Extremely Disappointed After Recent Upgrade

After the recent upgrade, my mobile service has become almost unusable. I barely have internet access—around 90% of the time it's either extremely slow or completely unavailable. Before the upgrade, everything was working fine. On top of that, I sometimes don’t receive calls at all. Instead, I get a message saying I missed a call, even though my phone never rang. This is extremely frustrating, especially when expecting important calls. I emailed Lycamobile customer service two weeks ago, but haven’t received any response. The lack of support is unacceptable. Overall, the service has significantly declined since the upgrade, and it’s causing real inconvenience. I hope these issues are addressed urgently.

unreliable with little to no customer service

I have had recurring issues with Lyca for almost a year now. After the activation process didn´t work and I contacted them via phone (do expect to wait a solid 30min to get through to someone that may or may not be able to help you) they managed to at least get my plan up and running. However since then I have on multiple occasions lost complete connection (signal/internet etc.) for up to 48h in a row. My phone either shows "no sim" or "no signal" and no restart, turning the eSIM on/off or flight mode has helped. I have again tried to call to resolve this to no avail. This is my final straw and I will change provider now.

10 days without internet resolved

I have been without the internet for the last two Saturdays and it took me up to last thursday to reach them, i was told to off and on my phone, reset and so on and nothing work, i was told that my case have escalated and that within 24 to 48 hours i will be contacted and the issue will be resolve but nothing have happened. this is a disgrace that i will be sent a bill at the end of the month without given services. I have been contacted and the issue have been resolved

I have used Lycamobile for 4months and…

I have used Lycamobile for 4months and it was good. I renewed 6 months long term bundle last month but now it is terrible. It often suddenly shows no service and even I restart my phone the signal back but no network. I’m not happy with the service and plan to change to other service provider.

At the start Lyca mobile was really good and I bought a eSIM but recently my sim has been turning on and my phone says for hour long periods no sim or it turns on then off after 5 minutes .I brought this problem up with the help and support team but this issue still hasn’t been resolved.They did a network refresh and told me to power my phone on and off but nothing changed. I am very disappointed with Lyca mobile and I aldo strongly believe your help and support team should have a appropriate level of English to be able to fully understand complaints to attend to them.

Horrible customer service

The people are just so lazy and unhelpful and rude. They refuse to help and when i have contacted apple support about my issue they always say it’s my network providers issue and same with every phone shop i have went to. They leave me on hold for half an hour and when they pick they sound as if they just woke up and are very rude. The problem started when they decided to cancel my esim and now they just refuse to do anything else. When i was given a solution by apple to fix the problem they told me to go to Lyca and give them my IMEI so they could put it into the system manually and this came from their engineers, so i called Lyca. They put me on hold for half an hour, answered with the most angry and lazy tone ever and didnt even try help me they just told me it’s not their problem and to go back to apple when their engineers literally told me this is the solution to my problem.

Their deals are a con

Do not sign up to any of their deals. I signed up to a plan that was €10 a month for the first 12 months. They stated I needed to activate auto-renew on my account to keep the deal. I signed in before the end of the first month to do that but all the options were not functional. I called and they said I cannot continue on that deal and will have to pay double or cancel. Even though I tried to autorenew as they requested. So it’s basically a con. The person on the phone took ten minutes to answer and was rude and short. Not to mention hard to understand. Do not use them and look elsewhere - even if they ‘appear’ to be cheaper, it’s a scam!

Well tried to switch my esim to…

Well tried to switch my esim to physical sim due phone upgrade. Doing it online by instructions given it does show error in middle of process. Tried Calling multiple time with no answer . Emailed support 4-5 days ago .No answer either. Live chat - once you reach live agent chat disconnects after few min and you can wait another 30-40min for same result. Been without my mobile phone number over week now. Switching back to Three and never looking back on this mess of a company. Pity as I had toped up months ahead so Will be at loss in the end. If you want any support when something goes wrong would highly advise looking elsewhere.

Terrible customer service, good trustpilot team

My experience has been extremely worrying so far, I am afraid that the situation won't improve soon. I received the sms stating that due to a scheduled network upgrade I could experience brief service interruptions last week, but I couldn't imagine such a dreadful disaster. I am disconnected from the network since Saturday. No internet, no calls, no text messages. It means that I cannot log into some web accounts, such as lycamobile account, since I cannot receive the texts. I was able to go through the call center on Tuesday, after one hour in line (of course, using another phone as my line is completely off). As the usual simple advices couldn't work (turn off turn on etc) I was told to wait for 8 hours. Today I tried to call again but the queue was too long. Edit: I update my review because trustpilot lycamobile helped me and sorted my issues quickly, so I thank them very very much. They deserve 5 stars. Lycamobile customer service did not answer my email at all and did not follow up to my call for 3 days so I have to give an average 3 stars.

Bad Data Connection

Ever since i got a message from lyca stating that the network update has been completed, my mobile data connection has been terrible. My data plan is still ongoing but it barely allows me to send messages. I am frustrated and thinking of switching to another mobile phone service provider.

Terrible reception and customer care, hire more

They texted saying they are updating their network, after that received a text saying that it has been updated successfully, it was 2 days of disruptions which is fine, but since the completion of updates I lose signal , even in the city’s centre or at work on the south I barely have 2 lines of signal and internet connection is not available for 70% of the day , I tried to call them 2 days in a row but was on hold for than 1 hour both day without any luck of speaking to human being , I am stranded with them as I just renewed for a year but if that’s not fixed I don’t think I will stay with them and already been looking into changing and get my money back
