Professional and Caring

I’ve had a great experience with Rebecca Wu at LifeStance. I’ve been seeing her for several months now and she cares very much about her work and patients. It’s been refreshing to find someone like her since I’ve struggled to find adequate care after 18 years in SF. It’s nice to know someone takes their work seriously and genuinely cares.

I have a great psychiatrist and…

I have a great psychiatrist and therapist But I have posted positive reviews before and been blown off by whoever follows up on comments. I don’t quite understand why corporate does this. Maybe it’s just a disconnect but at this point in time I would appreciate when I make a positive review for it to be acknowledged. I have been with your company since 2020. Is this too much to ask for? I honestly don’t know but my life at present is very difficult now and I understand that you can’t reply to every comment but as I said, 2020? It gives me pause. Mbauer

LIFESTANCE INCOMPETENCE

I called to ask about my appointment time but they couldn't find it. I said I have a card but was put on hold. Someone picked up and read a letter about me having to pay a 2640.00 balance before she could see me. I live in Savannah, Ga. I had been with Dr Winders for 27 years. He left the practice and I then saw 2 or 3 psychologists both of them twice, wanting to go back 27 years and relive trauma that had already been treated. Well, they left the practice and I finally saw Dr.Sotus-Nawar and things were going okay with her. She is professional, and after a few visits getting easier to talk too. She actually listens, great suggestions to reduce my stress and I thought maybe I finally found the exact psychiatrist, I needed. Lifestance is very fortunate to have Dr.Sotus-Nawar. Back to the my appointment they couldn't find. It was canceled. I spoke with someone who told me that my appt was canceled for Tues, July 29th at 11:30 and it must have been the billing department. I spoke or was on hold for over 70 minutes with at least 7 or 8 people picking up asking if they could help and reassuring me they could but no one ever did. I was then in tears stating people on psychiatric,anxiety meds, and other medications can not just stop taking medications without serious consequences. I was put on hold and someone else picked up and I was told if something happened to me to go to the Emergency Room. I was so upset and infuriated that the people I was speaking to weren't even in the Savannah office. One was in Snellville and I actually lost track of the other locations. Have these employees been trained for psychiatric or psychologist offices ??? Do they realize the huge liability and litigation that could be brought against Lifestance for their incompetence ? Finally, after being put back on hold someone picked up and told me the office manager would call me back. Kayla called me back and gave me an appointment for the following day. Kayla has been with the local office for many years and I was so relieved to be speaking to someone I actually knew and who was completely competent, professional, and knew me. Thank God for Kayla. Unprofessional

I made an appointment for my 16 year old son with Dan Albracht in Utah. We arrived for the appointment (virtual) on-time and waited, and waited and waited. After 25 minutes I called the office and was kept on hold while they tried to phone him because he was working remotely. He did not respond. I expressed my frustration and asked for follow up explanation once they found out what the issue had been. Five days later and I have gotten no response. I understand that emergencies happen and maybe that was the case. Either way a company of this size should have procedures in place to manage these contingencies. As a psychologist myself, I would never allow this to happen. And if there was a real emergency I would make sure I reached out to the patient with apology and explanation. Very unprofessional.

They will send you to collections

They sent my amount owed to collections and never provided me an itemized bill. They say I owe thousands which I don’t understand how they let that rack up when I had insurance when I saw their psych. Guess I’ll see them in court because idk how they expect me to pay.

Zero flexibility and super rude…

Zero flexibility and super rude front-office team. Charged $150 for trying to move a Monday appointment (on Friday). Tried since Friday to move an appointment with zero service / ever-changing contact numbers, making it impossible to get hold of a human being via the platform. I eventually left a text message via their platform and called again Monday AM - but the team made no allowances and charged me the maximum penalty (same as no-show), despite the fact that this was the first time I'd had to move an appointment and the lack of platform functionality. Really poor experience - my rec: go find somewhere with more personal attention and care.

Clinic does not match with your insurance.

Clinic does not care about you. I was previously seeing a psychiatrist through them and they left the practice. They called to make me another appointment and matched me with someone who is not in my insurance. Now I owe far more than I can afford to pay. They do not care about this, despite the fact that the intake team did not do their job. Do not recommend going here.

This company keeps trying to bill me…

This company keeps trying to bill me $5/month for some subscription taht I NEVER signed up for. I called their support (which, of course is off shore), reemed the guy who admitted to the mistake and backed out the bill, only for it to be reinstated the next month! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Absolutely horrible the worst…

Absolutely horrible the worst experience I've ever had with health care provider nurse practitioners who think they are real doctors only showing up when they want can't ever get them on the phone also the medical staff like to make up stories.

Avoid this company at all costs

I scheduled a first-time video consult with LifeStance and tried to cancel the day before (a Sunday). Their system blocks cancellations within 48 business hours, and of course — their office was closed. I emailed to cancel before the appointment time and even logged in briefly to the virtual waiting room just to cover myself. No provider ever connected with me. I never submitted a credit card or signed a financial agreement, yet they still added a $50 “no-show” charge to my account. Zero communication. No response to my messages. They literally listed “card on file” when there was none. This company is shady. They make it nearly impossible to cancel, then try to trap you into paying fees for services that were never delivered. Based on other reviews, this is a pattern, not a fluke. LifeStance feels more like a billing machine than a mental health provider. Do yourself a favor and find an independent therapist who actually cares and won’t exploit you through a broken, corporate system.

What a Blessing

I have been blessed with good experiences with everyone I have dealt with over the past several years. I am starting with a new therapist next week to help me work thru the grief of losing my husband earlier this year; and after a one hour phone interview with her, I feel we are going to be a good fit in person.
