Avoid this company at all costs

I scheduled a first-time video consult with LifeStance and tried to cancel the day before (a Sunday). Their system blocks cancellations within 48 business hours, and of course — their office was closed. I emailed to cancel before the appointment time and even logged in briefly to the virtual waiting room just to cover myself. No provider ever connected with me. I never submitted a credit card or signed a financial agreement, yet they still added a $50 “no-show” charge to my account. Zero communication. No response to my messages. They literally listed “card on file” when there was none. This company is shady. They make it nearly impossible to cancel, then try to trap you into paying fees for services that were never delivered. Based on other reviews, this is a pattern, not a fluke. LifeStance feels more like a billing machine than a mental health provider. Do yourself a favor and find an independent therapist who actually cares and won’t exploit you through a broken, corporate system.
