Awful company to deal with. Due to poor 3 Mobile reception at home, I decided to try another network. I bought a Lebara pay as you go just for test purposes and put £5 on it but when trying to make a call it was saying I had no credit. After a very frustrating call with support, I was given a monthly account. Having found that there was no improvement in reception, I tried to cancel my account using the app. When you click on cancel account, it says that you must unlink any sim cards first. I did this, and found that it is not possible to log in to an account either with the app or browser without linking a sim card first!!! Another frustrating phone call, and was told my account is closed. I have still been receiving emails and texts from Lebara, so I asked that they stop contacting me, and that my email and other details be removed from their records, as is my legal right. That was a couple of weeks ago. Today I received another email about changes to their terms and conditions. I DONT have a Lebara account any more! I now have a chat record of me telling them today, that if they continue to ignore my legal right for my details to be removed from their database, I will make a formal complaint to The Information Commissioners Office.
They didn't listen or understand my problem at all. They were insistent I was sending pictures in my SMS to a particular number, that I wasn't is just part of it. They eventually sorted my problem out, but it took all day, but for good measure they then ensured that all my outgoing calls went straight through to Lebara message service, so I had to contact them for the 5th time to get it sorted. Unprofessional, lacking in product knowledge, inability to listen, making assumptions and rubbish interpersonal skills over the phone. I've raised a complaint, whether they bother to investigate their mega hash up is another story.
The Lebara PAYG SIM is the worst ever. Not only are their PAYG prices higher than most other providers, but I keep getting text messages and emails from them reminding me to use the card by texting and calling or I will lose my number. I have had my number for over 20 years and I do text my child on a monthly basis, even if it is to just use the SIM and I make calls to my husbands phone leaving the line open with him to use up some talk minutes. Yet they still persist in sending me these reminders. I then called their customer support who informed me that I also need to make a top up every few months, which I have started doing at the beginning of July 2025 and was also told that they would put a note on their system in my account to not send me these reminders, yet they still persist. I now have over £12 balance in the top-up SIM after making more top-ups, and today I received another text on the phone and an email well. I wish I had stayed on my previous provider. Lebara is a terrible PAYG provider. I am going to waste away my current SIM balance on useless calls and PORT my phone back to my last provider.
I had an issue which meant that my payment didn't go through, however, the Customer Service Rohan was absolutely brilliant and helped me straight away. Roman went out of his way to ensure that my services were not impacted and thanked me for my loyalty to Lebara. I've been so happy with the service we have just got my husband a SIM only deal with Lebara as well. Thank you so much Rohan, excellent customer care.

The person who helped me today was Imran and he was very good at helping me choose a monthly rolling contract- he stayed on call and was very patient. Imran sent me a link with exclusive deals that were better value for money and helped me through the entire process. He sorted everything out within 10 minutes.
