I will never order from Joanns again

I will never order from Joanns again. I don't want the gift card my daughter gave me for Christmas, I told her to get her money back. I will never visit Joanns, order from them ever again. I ordered Dec 5th, still not here, and their customer service is useless. Horrible company, someone should look into them.

8 days and still not shipped

I ordered 4 skeins of yarn and some safety eyes 8 days ago and they haven’t even shipped it yet. They said “please allow a little more time,” but did not say they would take over a week to even look at my order. If they’d been clear about how long it would take them to put my yarn in a box, I would have found another way to get this on time to give to my daughter for Christmas. (2 weeks should have been enough for such an established business.)

Do NOT order online for a SHIP TO HOME

I placed an order on 11/26/23, which they charged my credit card, and today is 12/18/23, and I still do NOT have my order. Reading the comments below, I see this is a common practice. Are they using customers to subsidize their cash flow. Are they hoping I will forget about my order so they can keep the credit card payment. Are they ever going to deliver my order. Please note that they no longer have customer support. The reason is blatantly apparent. They do have automated BS form emails if you initiate the email string. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before ordering a ship to home order. Although, I did not think I had to. I have had great luck with purchasing items at brick locations, as well as online orders to pick up at brick location. I won't make this mistake again, and I will write as many reviews as I can to prevent others from making the same mistake.

DO NOT SHOP AT JOANNS -DISAPPOINTING

I knew its was a busy season so I tried to be patient. Checked their shipping and processing information and patiently waited. Days went by. Days turned into weeks. I emailed joanns customer service. Received an automated response telling me they’d get back in 48 hours. TWO WEEKS go by. No contact. I email again. Nothing again. I ask to be escalated because this is ridiculous. Of course I get one baby response “I’ll check on this and escalate to a manger” No management contact. I wait again. 2 days shy of waiting a full month after placing my order and they CANCEL my order. No sewing machine for me. No contact for resolution. Just a big F U from Joanns. I used to shop at joanns semi regular but I’ll never step foot into another Joanns again. TERRIBLE service. TERRIBLE company. What a waste of time and space. As someone who works in customer service, I’m appalled at the poor practices, probably because Joanns isn’t paying enough nor do they have enough employees. Slave labor but nothing to show for it. I don’t know how anyone in this company sleeps at night. Y’all couldn’t pay me to shop here. One week to Christmas and all I get is disappointment. I hope others read reviews online before purchasing cause I made the mistake of not doing so. Apparently the only way to get a response from Joanns is to go to the better business bureau. What a joke.

If I could give it a zero

If I could give it a zero, it would be a zero. I ordered multiple things at least three weeks ago. And they ship it one item or two at a time. I still have not received my complete order and they’ve canceled two of my items without notifying me. This is the worst shipping I have ever received, Not only is it’s incomplete.,It’s a month late! I will never order from this company again.! what an awful business! I tried to call them on the phone. I held 40 minutes and nobody came. I emailed nobody emailed me back. I’m about to call my credit card company and dispute the charge of the items I didn’t get yet.

First and Last Purchase from JoAnn.com

I placed my first online order with JoAnn on Novemeber 29, 2023 for shatter-proof Christmas tree ornaments. Our twin grandchildren are 20 months old and we didn't want broken glass ornaments on the floor all around the Christmas tree. After placing the order, I received an immediate email confirmation but no delivery date. My order remained "in processing" for over a week, so I contacted JoAnn on December 7th about the delivery. I never got a reply, but I received a partial shipment on December 12th. I contacted JoAnn a second time on December 12th about the remaining order. Again, I did not get a reply, but I received the remaining order on December 16th. I liked the quality of the ornaments (a 4 - 5 star rating), but JoAnn order processing was very slow (2 star rating), they shipped the ornaments in poorly sealed, oversize boxes with no cushion material (2 star rating), and their customer communication was simply awful (1 star rating). Clearly, we needed the Christmas tree ornaments delivered well before December 25th. Not knowing if or when or what condition the ornaments would arrive created a lot of unecessary stress and anxiety during the busy days before Christmas. There are many stores (brick-and-mortar and online) that sell the same fine products as JoAnn without all of delivery anxiety and poor customer service communication. I will be making my future purchases at these other stores next Christmas season.

DO NOT place an order with them

DO NOT place an order with them! Still waiting for any information regarding an order placed on December 2. Just an email telling me my order has been delayed. Really??? Every other company I have ordered from during the month of December has already been delivered. Chances are I won’t receive this JoAnn order until January, if at all. Would leave a negative star if I could. Better off shopping Hobby Lobby who has great product and customer service.

Extremely poor online experience

As others have said, there is zero recourse for online orders. I have been looking for my order for over 2 weeks. When I check, the site says they are still processing it. I have sent several emails but received no response other than the automated, “We have received your email. You should receive a reply in 48 hours.” Today I received an email cancelling part of my order. I called the number on the email, which led me to a recorded message that they are not receiving phone calls, please send an email. The in person experience is fine, but I doubt I will attempt an online order again. The only reason I even ordered online is because they did not have all of my items available for in store pickup so they offered me free shipping on the ones they could not fulfill in store. I ordered on Nov. 27 and received the cancellation notice on Dec. 15. Emails were sent on Dec. 5, 11 and 14. I have shopped at Jo-Ann for a long time and am very surprised at their lack of response.

Customer service for online orders is…

Customer service for online orders is nonexistent. Left on hold for 30 minutes plus twice. When the call was finally answered, was told emphatically that my order would arrive before Christmas. Called a third time today, was on hold for 20 minutes to be told that my order would not arrive in time unless it went out today. I requested to cancel and was told there were no cancellations once an order was placed. I asked if they could check to see if the items would ship today, and was told that they would email and it would take 5-10 business days for them to answer . So essentially they do not give their customers any recourse . Also, if the order does eventually ship, I would be responsible for returning my items to a Joann store location myself . There is not a Joann location where I live hence why I ordered online. I am planning on refusing the delivery and fighting whatever charges occur on my credit card . Will not purchase from them again .

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Product ordered online has not shipped 3 weeks later and there's no sign that it is coming anytime soon. Took a week to get an auto-reply from 'customer service.' I will never shop there again.

Joann Online shopping

Placed an order weeks ago for Christmas items, tried numerous times to get a status besides 'processing'. Waited an hour on the line 330.735.6576 (you won't find this number on their inept website). Was told they could not cancel the order even though they haven't yet shipped it. Horrible Online service, no wonder people go to Amazon - sad. If you need to shop go to one of their stores or try Walmart or Holly Lobby.

Don't waste your time...

I ordered 8 items 2 1/2 weeks ago to put together an outdoor Christmas display. I have received 1 item. I called, after being on hold for 20 minutes, the rep assured me that my items were in stock and ready to be shipped. That was 1 week ago. I have since gotten 2 emails stating most of my items were out of stock and canceled. One item which will now not match because the coordinating items are canceled, has been hung up in shipping for almost a week. Don't waste your time with them on online orders.

I ordered fabric about 2 and a half weeks ago and I still haven't received it yet. An item was automatically cancelled on me with no email stating so. I don't understand how they can even stay in business. I will not be doing business with this place anymore!!!

If you want your stuff shop elsewhere

Ordered wrapping paper for a special kids party 19 days ago. Last week i emailed twice trying to see if it would get here on time and ask to cancel if not. No answer. Today is the day I needed it and it still shows processing so I emailed again and virtual annie told me no cancellation and couldn't tell me when or if i will receive my items. Do not shop with this company online.

Placed an online order 2 weeks ago. Still has not shipped. Joanns refuses to cancel the order. I have sent 3 emails and have yet to receive a response. Called 2 days in a row last week only to hang up after being on hold for 20 minutes both times. I have been shopping with joanns for so many years and have never experienced such rudeness before. Feel like I have been scammed. Thank you for reading my review.

Good Luck with This Company

Twelve days and have not shipped citing "technical difficulties." What? I have emailed and called them multiple times over one small order. Finally, WHEN they ship it, one customer rep said they will also issue a refund as a "courtesy" only after I told them I was filing a BBB complaint. The claim did not say that, that they would charge me! I can't cancel the order either. I will have to take it up w/ my credit card company. They don't care about the customer apparently.Don't shop here unless you love aggravation! They are awful.

Horrible

Horrible, horrible horrible I will never again order from them. Online orders are canceled after being processed for many days and still things are being processed with no updates when you call customer service they take forever to answer the phone. Just horrible horrible, horrible, horrible I will be using companies like at home And Hobby lobby or Michael’s but I will never use Joann’s again

Don’t shop online !

I ordered online and it has been processing for the past 10 days and has not shipped yet. Meanwhile, I found the same product at my local store and on Amazon so I requested that my order be cancelled. Joann refused. They said that I had to wait until it arrived and then return it and possibly have to pay a restocking fee. Of course the shipping fee will not be returned. If it has not been shipped, why can’t they simply cancel the order and refund my credit card? This is written to warn shoppers to avoid online purchases.

They suck. Takes forever to ship anything and of course they don't let you cancel the order after you placed it. When you call, no one gives a crap. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else

Ordered on the morning of November…

Ordered on the morning of November 25th. Evening of the 4th of December still processing. Needed by the 10th of December thought that 15 days was enough time. Evidently not. Never order if you need it. At least not in same calendar year
