Flight PD356 departure 1:25pm Calgary…

Flight PD356 departure 1:25pm Calgary to Toronto on Aug 30, scheduled boarding time 12:55pm, we arrived at gate 1:08pm and was told gate was closed because the pilot decided to leave earlier and didnt let us on the flight. We had to purchase tickets for the next flight at $169.50 per ticket. Never had such ridiculous experience. How can they leave us without calling us!!!

It's worth considering other options if possible. While they might offer free WiFi and alcoholic beverages, these are just distractions from deeper issues. Unfortunately, their support is lacking, often accompanied by excuses. Delays are frequently attributed to 'safety,' which unfortunately leaves you with no protection or compensation. Additionally, when it comes to flight changes, they might not accommodate your preferences, opting instead to suggest cancellation and re-purchase at an added cost. If you're considering Porter, it might be akin to taking a gamble, but the odds might be better with a lottery ticket

Sucks they picked the right mascot

Sucks they picked the right mascot. A raccoon is a big rodent that does destruction. they cancelled my flight 4 a.m. in the morning and they wouldn’t do anything to adjust it with no other airline or themselves. Would rather walk to my destination then book with this “raccoon “ airline

Terrible customer service and cancelled…

Terrible customer service and cancelled credits they owed me for a refund during COVID. Never take Porter credits instead of a full refund to your credit card. They expire too quickly. Awful policies.

Your flight will get canceled 8 out of…

Your flight will get canceled 8 out of 10 times and you won’t get another flight until the following day if you’re lucky. I flew out of Windsor to Toronto to Montreal and all of these flights got canceled. They said it was related to not having enough flight crew or some other vague reason. The customer service line will have you on hold for over an hour and offer no help. They will just try to redirect you to some one else. I would recommend paying a little more and go with another airline unless you want to wait at the airport for days or stay on hold to talk to a brick wall.

Garbage airline

Garbage airline. Do not book here. Took my money twice and never gave me an airline ticket. Customer service never picks up. Spent 2.5, plus 1.5 then another 2 hours on hold long distance and told they can’t help. DO NOT BOOK PORTER AIRLINES they are crooks.

Cancelled flight: Lack of crew

Cancelled a flight because of a lack of crew. If you schedule a flight, I would assume that means you have the crew to handle it. I find it hard to believe that you realized that you were just short some crew members only a few hours before flight departure. The government encourages us to travel within Canada, but the terrible airline choices we have here guarantee that the train or even, heaven forbid, a bus is a better option even though it adds hours to a trip. So it's wonderful that they rebooked to tomorrow morning, even though there's absolutely no guarantee that this new flight won't be cancelled as well. Not only does it screw up the point of the trip, it makes it much more stressful. Great job /s

I have to give one start otherwise…

I have to give one start otherwise won’t allow me to continue. Do not fly Porter. My fly to Edmonton just cancelled and rescheduled 24 later really? What I am going to do today with all the extra expenses? Really Porter, this is unacceptable. Why do you even offer flys if you don’t have enough crew or other resources. Never ever book with Porter

Canada Day Disaster

We were suppose to fly Porter last night from Toronto to Montreal to catch a flight from Montreal to Qatar to Bali. But there was an hour delay due to weather in Montreal. Porter never staffed appropriately, had no redundancy in place nor authorized the appropriate overtime or planned based on weather. They in fact had overbooked and been asking for 6 volunteers to take a latter flight. They said it was weather induced. so with this new revision from Montreal (1hr) flight crew walked out on us. Our flight to Montreal therefore got cancelled. We never made it to our connecting flights. They said they will work with interline and rebook all of our flights for us all (30 passengers now) stranded within 15 min. 6pm turned to now 9pm with no updates. Then they kicked us out of the lounge saying there was a security breach. Told to receive updates from front desk staff. Front desk was empty. Cleaners told us they left hours ago. At 11 we were kicked out of airport entirely as Toronto Island airport closes at 11. No updates. No communication. No emails. The notification update that was posted on our Porter website under our reservation had rebooked us to leave Qatar to Bali on July 3rd. But we are to leave Toronto to Montreal on July 4th. How is that even possible?. We are 3 families with children. We have been slowly planning this trip over 6 months. We had booked things which are non refundable. Our stays are no longer refundable. We have been so excited for this trip for so long. We took Uber XL to and then back home for no reason. We called Porter. Who had no updates. The asked us to call the nxt day. Absolutely frustrating. Will never ever fly with Porter.

I absolutely love Porter

I absolutely love Porter! I live in Hamilton On. It’s so convenient to head up north. I take the Go train to Union Station. They have a free shuttle bus across the street that runs every 15 minutes. You don’t have to check bags if you have a carry on. Do your mobile check in. Go through security and it’s that easy. The flight is comfortable and the plane is clean. They even gave me a free beer and snack. Love Porter!!

I didn't even want to give one star but…

I didn't even want to give one star but only this way I get a chance to write horrible customer service that Porter provided yesterday (June 27) I heard stories about Porter but I didn't believe any of it until I experienced on my own. I am pretty sure that they are not investing enough money to educate employees. With the poor judgment of porter agents, I couldn't get on the plane and the whole business trip is interrupted. Now I have wasted two days of work to solve this issue. Porter said I will receive an email from them but I haven't received any following up message.

First time with Porter Airline, will also be the last. Don’t recommend.

It is my first time flying with Porter Airline and I’m not impressed my the customer service I’ve received so far. For a start when I first got to the airport I tried to change my checked luggage to a carry on but I was met with bad attitude, they tried charging me for a bundle instead of just making the switch. Which I’ve never had trouble doing with other airlines. Wifi is horrible and so is the food, and there are fewer choices. Once I landed in Toronto for my connecting flight, I made sure to verify with the staff that my luggage would be sent to the other plane and was reassured that it would. Once I landed in Vancouver my luggage was missing. A luggage I could have had with me in the cabin but couldn’t make the change, and not only that. But I’m getting married tomorrow and my dress and everything else is in that luggage. There isn’t any compensation for a missing luggage until 21 days after it’s been lost. Which means I have to postpone my wedding because I got no dress, nothing and it’s costing me thousands of dollars which obviously won’t be paid back to me even though it’s their screw up. Way to go Porter Airline. First time travelling with them, will also be the last.

This company should NOT exist.

This company should NOT exist. I lost a day and an important meeting because nobody was at the airport to issue a boarding pass. They had no teller machine for it. Their website was hacked somehow as they would not take my reservation number. The final blow they could not be reached by phone. They should issue their F%$# boarding pass by e-mail IF they won't deliver them at the airport. This company is a shame, they should lose their license to operate. People beware! Don't try them as you can see the reviews here. This is a QR code careless company. They are QR code dependent, translating as BAD! Grandma and Grandpa should avoid it!

Terrible customer policy.

Terrible customer policy. Horribly irresponsible - had a conneting flight between Halifax & Toronto. Flight out of Halifax posted a 15 minute delay - in reality it was a 90 minute delay which made me miss my connecting flight. Resulted in an 8-hour wait in Ottawa - horrendous treatment by gate staff and online / call centre customer service. I didn't think it's possible to be worse than Air Canada, but it is.

Frequent cancellations due to staff shortage.

it's a shame that this is a Canadian company, i can't believe it can operate with such low business standards. My flight was cancelled hours before due to STAFF SHORTAGE, no compensation given whatsoever. This has been the frequent practice for porter - they believe they can get away with cancellations as a 'small carrier' without offering compensations. When I contacted for help, the agent JOANNA was the worst i've ever encountered. She kept repeating 'so what do you want, refund? next flight?'. How unfortunate for Canada to have an airline that operates like this, causing inconvenience to customers at customers' expense all the time. Avoid at all cost unless you want to pay 2-3 times for another airline last minute.
