Porter worse flight every cancelled my return flight to DC today 28th and reboked me for return on Jan 3rd 2024. I was at the airport Noone could assist me and there was this rude porter man very rude , telling me that all flight had been cancelled due to weather yet people were traveling ? No order airline had weather related cancelations ? I had to buy a new ticket with a different airline and move airports. PORTER THE WORSE AIRLINE EVER . THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE AND HAVE VERY Rude STAFF and they even nearly gave me someone else's passport to show you that they don't care and didn't event check to see if I was on flight. The man even went as far as telling his colleague that he doesnt want to deal with me he came into my face and was shouting at me.black man with blonde hair , please sack him he is rude and aggressive to female customers. PLEASE DONT FLY THEM, WASTE OF MONEY.
DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE!!! absolute worst. They canceled our flight 3 days before Christmas and rescheduled us for December 28th and told us that's the earliest they have. Spoke to a representative at the airport named Amanda. She said she would get us and our baby on the next flight ( December 22nd) and said she would call me back with confirmation. Never called back, never booked us in. We had to pay for a hotel for 2 nights, called porters customer service 2 days in a row, they called me back both times at 1 am... real sketchy stuff I swear they call back at that time cause they know no one will answer. I called both times at 8 am and didn't get calls back until 1 am. Then when we finally got a new flight ( dec 23rd) all the planes were delayed without reasoning and they lost our baggage ( 3 bags) Let me remind you we have a baby so they even lost our carseat which made it impossible to leave the airport after our very late arrival. Worst company for flying ever. This company will not last at this rate.
Worst airline ever! I booked a Montreal-Newark ticket with a 2h layover at Toronto for my holidays in NYC. Price was cheap (but just a hundred dollars cheaper than serious companies, greedy me !) I was on my way to the airport when I receive an email (EMAIL !!), that my flight was cancelled Reason : : flight schedule re-alignment due to maintenance They rebooked me on another flight for the next day, gasp for air, Montreal-Toronto-Ottawa-Newark, with just 50 minutes for the US preclearance at Ottawa airport (which means, impossible). No other alternatives. Consequence : I had to cancel my holidays plans all together and ask for the reimbursement of my flight ticket (had to wait 30 minutes to have someone on the phone). Lost my non-refundable hotel booking. Lost 300 $ worth of event tickets. And hundreds more of purchased services for the trip. But the worst part is the ruined trip I’ve been planning for for months. It just left me angry and with a bitter taste in my mouth. Right now I’m trying to see how to ask for compensation (since it’s a small comapany, I’ll only have right to 125$ versus 400$ if I had paid 100$ for Air Canada or Delta). The website form gives me « error ». Good luck for me to see how to contact them. Lesson : The cheap comes out expensive. Never fly with small unreliable cheap companies like Porter if you value your time and well-being.
Simple flight from Winnipeg to Toronto. Flight not even full. Had 1 check in bag to go home for Christmas. Arrived in Toronto as scheduled. Go to pick up luggage and surprise it is not there. Talked to 3 representatives before someone would help me. Said to give us 24 hours to find it.. they did find it and courier called to say it would be delivered. Never heard from Porter at all. I am not special by any stretch but it was a Canadian Military Bag with large Canadian flag on it. How can it go missing. Disappointing to not hear from Porter at all.
They totally obliterated my baggage. The rep at the airport said I had to call a phone number, on the phone they said I had to file a ticket on the website. I did all of that and have heard nothing. I've been following up with them, but... I've heard nothing. I think they just try to wear you down with attrition and make life hard for you. As you can imagine, I had to take a taxi instead of carrying a suitcase in my arms. Disappointing not just to destroy my bag, but then to take no interest in making it right. Cynical, disgusting behavior worthy only of contempt and disdain, honestly.
Flight was at 4pm. Loaded the flight, told to unload the flight, given no communication whatsover regarding lodging, another flight, etc. told by the flight attendee to go get your luggage at carousel 48 and see the porter agent at the check-in counter. Went to the flight check-in counter and not one porter associate. People with mobility challenges going to get their luggage and then told the flight is back on after we’ve left security. We then have to go through multiple busy lanes of people to go through security again and are rushed back to the same gate. We are now 7:50pm and, we still have not left the tarmack, again also not given any communication. People with mobility challenges crying, babies screaming and tired. Someone hearing impaired had another person on the flight not told them it’s going again would have left. We then when coming back on the plane are told to refrain from eat in g peanuts as someone has a severe food allergy yet, they can’t give us anything to drink or eat. The attendant SHOULD NOT HAVE TOLD US TO GO TO PORTER CHECK-IN, she should have had us sit and wait for more information. I would not recommend. In addition every stewardess said they only worked 6 months, one 2 days on the job. Should you not have one senior personnel within the crew?
I recently flew with Porter Airlines from Edmonton to Toronto. The service was good and the flight attendants were friendly. However I am a senior with a bad leg and my assigned seat was at an emergency door. The advantage to this was the extra leg room but in the event of an actual emergency I would not have been able to open the door. My biggest complaint however are the extremely uncomfortable seats. I have flown on MANY different sized airplanes from years of extensive traveling and these seats were by far the smallest and hardest I've ever sat on in an airplane. For that reason I would never fly with Porter again.
I cannot recommend to anyone to fly with Porter. We had one flight with them on October 22, 2023 - a direct flight with no layovers. And somehow they lost our checked bag. They said that they can tell that we checked it in, but it went no further. So the bag is still at Toronto airport and they are doing absolutely nothing to recover it. After multiple check ins and calls regarding the bag, we had to submit a list of all items in there. Now they’re asking for receipts in order to refund us some of what we have lost. Some items are vintage and many years old - there are no receipts. I do not feel any amount of confidence in this airline, especially when it comes to the care of its customers.
Incredibly rude to the point of harassment from customer service. The flight is generally fine but the airports and lounges are worse every year, the flights are often delayed and cancelled. Would recommend air Canada over porter ANY day which is really saying something.
Common knowledge airlines in Canada are bad, but to be frank, Porter surprised me. Decent legroom, free drink!!, and kind staff. Would definitely fly with them in future.
If I could, I would not give it even a star. The worst airline. I booked a flight from Montreal to St John's, I wanted to cancel my booking 3 weeks before the flight date, but they told me it is not possible for refund. At the flight day, they cancelled it even without any further information and apologies for the cancellation.
We had an opportunity to sit in the first 5 rows wow how amazing- great food!great service and lotsa leg room! Nice drink selection too. The stewart was very comical and was very nice patient and an amazing trainer to a younger new stewardess. I thought shes so lucky to have him- she was such a sweet person! Porter hires very personable genuine people! Flight was from Toronto to Winnipeg and return.

Flight was delayed, delayed, delayed, then cancelled. Rebooked to the next day, where I went through the same ordeal once again, once again had to spend a night in an airport hotel. Did not get hotel voucher or meal voucher, had to pay for everything myself. Ended up spending 2 full days in Newark airport & airport hotels. Porter Airlines have still not reimbursed my expenses, even though it's been more than a month since I reported it. So incredibly unfair to not reimburse people when they have cost that are because of your failure to operate. Probably the worst airline I've ever travelled with, except Ryanair..
Good experience flying Porter, have used them a few times now. Planes are older, but perfect for short flights. I recommend always being early, I have boarded early with them multiple times now.

Not recommend this airline I am writing to express my disappointment with Porter Airlines. My family, including my wife and child, recently flew with your airline based on positive reviews. However, despite our online booking indicating a complimentary meal, we were asked to pay for it onboard, causing inconvenience and discomfort. Such discrepancies should be avoided to maintain customer trust, especially for families. We hope for a prompt resolution and clearer communication in the future.
They told untruths cancelling our connecting flight from Toronto to Vancouver, they claimed weather issue. However at least 2 other flights managed to fly the same route on the same evening
