Made sure everything was sorted in the background. Emailed with updates and took care of everything without too much input from me.

Used Enact to remortgage. Pretty smooth process, kept informed throughout. Got a response via the messaging option when needed and got through on the phone every time I called. Would use Enact again.

Enact were appointed as a conveyancer by Lloyds for my remortgaging process. Easy transaction from start to end with no issues. Remortgaging was completed exactly as expected. The online tracker was helpful in understanding where in the process we were. Would not hesitate to consider Enact for my future needs.
Great communication, experience, support and service! I did my remortgage through Enact conveyancing. Their portal is great to keep you quickly updated on documents and next steps. When needed, it's easy to get in touch with them via telephone or through a Live chat/call back on their online platform. Would use them again in the future!
Enact were instructed on 17th June and I completed on 30th June for the remortgage of my property. This allowed me to avoid going onto a standard variable rate with my old provider. Enact are responsive and the tech platform they have is super easy to use. Uploading documents, signing documents and e-land registration all from my phone. The process is well documented, explained and easy to track status. Lisa who was our point of contact was great.
The most appalling experience. They use a very clunky online portal that kept alerting us saying we hadn't completed forms when we had and the enact teams only answer was that we had to complete them again. We completed paper forms and then were sent the same forms to complete. An error by the bank then resulted in more forms to complete by enact, a delay in our funds being released and our credit score affected. Liam was particularly blunt and unhelpful on the phone in multiple calls. All in all a terrible experience and we will warn people off using them.
The team at Enact were so helpful and efficient with our recent remortgage. Everything went smoothly and they were always very friendly, professional and responded quickly to any queries we had. Their online tracker made everything very easy to do. Had a great experience and would highly recommend.
Great service provided in connection with my recent remortgage from Barclays to Halifax. Thank you
Completion was made perfectly on time. Process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend. Thanks again :)
Exceptionally slow at the whole process, we’ve been asked for documents to be signed very late in the process that could have been requested much earlier and then chased for them almost immediately when they require us going to another solicitor, which is very difficult when you work Monday to Friday full time. We were told late in the process an ID check was required, this could have been requested weeks ago giving us sufficient time to action it. Paid £80 to get an out of hours ID check complete and it hasn’t even been looked at until today. Documents aren’t looked at for weeks, even when copies are uploaded to the portal. I was told today my transfer documents had been received, but asked via the chat over a week ago if they had been received and was told they had been. Now there is an issue with a document I’ve only been informed about today, the day my completion is due to take place, I replied to the message within 3 minutes and haven’t received a response back. Absolutely awful experience and a lot of additional stress and cost, I will not be remortgaging again with a company that uses this service. I have even asked how much I will need pay Enact and haven’t been given an answer.
Unfortunately for us, we've dealt with Enact on two different remortgages this year and they failed to complete on the correct day on either occasion leading to unnecessary additional stress and costs. I found the case managers hard work and ultimately incompetent.
First complaint is that you send information to a 'portal' that you shut down and deny access to well before the completion date, so how am I supposed to complete forms that I have no knowledge of in a timely manner? Secondly, after this lack of communications left me very concerned about completing on time, I have phoned multiple times over the last week (often waiting on hold for 30 plus minutes) to confirm you have everything for completion today. Been told 3 times on separate days when I asked specifically, 'do you need anything else from me' that nothing was outstanding. Only to be sent a form to fill in yesterday that needed to be wet signed (my partner was at work) and then another one today (on completion day!) or we could not proceed. Despite everything being apparently 'in order' during the previous conversations. Now we are not able to complete until tomorrow, so I will have to pay extra interest to my old lender because of your incompetence
Excellent service from start to finish.
Easy to use Kept us updated all the way to completion
I move to a floating rate tomorrow on my existing mortgage and have done everything I can including signing all documents two weeks ago and sending it by special delivery to ENACT. I have made clear I need my remortgage to complete tomorrow if not I will start paying a floating rate. That said, I have still received no confirmation on my completion date. When I called in to chase, I was also not able to get through to my “case manager” and instead was just told I’ll have to wait to have it confirmed with me. The process so far has been really poor with ENACT - who im stuck with because they are Natwest’s contract solicitors for remortgaging. Will wait and see what happens tomorrow but the service has been really not proactive, the online case tracker is not the most useful, and the case worker chat function online is not fast and direct.
Enact provided brilliant customer service from start to finish. I recently remortgaged and Enact made the process easy. Any questions I had big or small, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend using Enact.
Delays, lack of contact, inactive case management and reliance on snail mail. I have tried to contact my case manager on numerous occasions to no avail. When requesting a phone call to see why my case isn’t moving they phone once during work hours with no estimated time and then do not attempt to contact you after that. No emails, no updates nothing. It’s been 3 weeks since I started requesting info as the longer I am with my current lender the more money I lose. There are no ‘tasks’ for me to action, many unanswered messages asking what’s going on and a great deal of frustration. When speaking to them on the telephone I asked if my case manager had left and if I could have a point of contact. I was told no she hadn’t left and that they were currently managing 8000 case files so …. I responded that their caseload isn’t my concern and if they can’t provide a service at that level that is their issue and shouldn’t be mine. Can’t say I’d be keen to remortgage with a company who uses this brand in the future
Good communication and quick to resolve your query
I was pleasantly surprised by Enact they are brilliant and efficient. Enact's communication skills and ability to keep you updated is second to none. I will be using them for all of my conveyancing needs!! Thank you so much Enact!! Would recommend you all to anyone.
This has been a dismal service. I contacted the team on the 6th of June and advised that they would need to pick up the phone and call the company for my settlement statement. On the 13th I called them again to see if this has been done but unfortunately it had not. So I requested it to be done. On the 16th they were sent it via email but couldn’t open it so again requested it via email. But when I called on the 17th they advised they had not received it so I suggested for them to call them up and request it m. On the 23rd they advised they did receive it in on the 16th but they couldn’t open it. So I asked them why they didn’t tell me this when I called on the 17th. So I contacted the company to request it and it took me 3 mins on the phone and it was sent out the same day. Then they can back and said they cannot use it as it is addressed to my partner and I so I said pick up the phone and call them and they would be happy to send out a new one. They didn’t bother so I requested it again today and Enact received it but have said that it takes 2 days to process. Baring in mind all this time wasting and the other settlement statement from a separate company will expire on the 27th which will mean they need to request a new on and that takes 2-3 working days to request but and then another 2-3 working days to process and the next one expires on the 2nd of July. It would of been easier to to not go with this company and I should of paid for my own conveyancer as it would of been easier, quicker and less stressful.
You get given a "portal" that looks like it was created at the dawn of the internet. Nobody ever responds to communations on the portal or the phone. Nearly 6 months in and we were so close to losing our simple remortgage (with builders waiting to be paid for a half finished job on our home) that we had to get Nationwide to threaten them. Why they still exist as a recommended provider is beyond comprehension. Use at your peril.
