Review summary
KIA has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Kia Bolton absolute rubbish. Went in in March 2024 to buy a car but the system was down so promised a call back, and 16 months later it still never happened so I bought it somewhere else, now trying to BUY a service plan and promised a call from the service team, 7 days later still no call. Speak to Kia customer service and they send you to the dealer who never call back. If this is the service they offer when I am trying to buy something imagine how bad it would be if I had an issue. I have had 4 Kia's now and this will be my last one
DM Kieth Kia Leeds.
Absolute pleasure from ordering to picking up my new car.
Tony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and explained fully how the Motability Scheme works and how it would help me to purchase my new car.
He was instrumental in me choosing this route , as it had always worried me in the past.
Tony kept me informed regularly regarding when the car would arrive and when the adaptation work would be carried out.
The whole experience has been stress free and very straightforward .
I love the new Kia Sportage and would highly recommend the Leeds Kia dealership to anyone who wants an excellent buying experience.
I would have given them a 5 star review except for the fact that one person at the desk let them down .
I had a front camera replaced and when the work was don , the bumper was not put on straight . Had words with a certain individual that worked on the desk .
After trying to sort out the mess , I finally had a call from the service manager Bobbie !
He sorted it out with flying colours, excellent service ,polite to the point and extremely professional.
Hopefully the of his staff will take note of how it should be done .
Well done Bobbie. And thank you !
Today Monday 7th I walked into kia bristol to look at the price of a brand new picanto .I wandered around the showroom giving the salesmen plenty of time to acknowledge me AND NOTHING. I WONT BE BUYING A NEW CAR AT THIS DEALER.( shocking service) GO ELSEWHERE.
Been waiting two and a half hours for a diagnostics test after a malfunction light appeared on my Kia hybrid dashboard. Booked a slot fir a review. No one Has bothered to come and provide updates. After an hour and a half I asked for an update and told it would be about another 15/20 mins. Still waiting in Braintree.
I complained again and had waited 3 hours in total. The car needed a new part and the service manager went out of his way to get the part (difficult during Covid-19) and phoned me as soon as it arrived, book me in before I had to travel some distance to get it fixed and updated me whilst I waited! Much improved service. They obviously listened.
My experience of the Newcastle dealership was positive when buying the car - Andrew was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. He really went the extra mile to make sure I could drive my car away (with free drive away insurance!) the same weekend, when other dealerships said I’d have to wait several days, so I was very pleased and love my new Picanto!
Do not buy a second hand car from this dealer. The so called service has been appalling. i Bought a £14,000 car with full 3 months warranty, only after the car breaking down , and with the AA report of a faulty o2 sensor, Kia needed it to break down again so they could get the fault number, even though the AA guy had printed off the report. I have never heard anything so stupid. So they had the car for 10 days, yes 10 days, and they still hadn't fixed the car. They were quite happy for me to drive it on the motorway knowing it had a fault and could stop at any time. I eventually took the car to audi, which was fixed after 2 hours. I have had to pay nearly £400 for this to be rectified , and get my dad to take me to hospital for 10 days as i am a nurse ,and can't just have time off. I bought this car from Kia , not Kia warranty company , so why they couldn't just apply the service ethic and get this fixed is why i wouldn't go anywhere near this company. I have just spoken to Kia warranty and they were bemused as to why they just didn't sort the o2 filter out.
Terrible after sales. You have been warned folks.
I have a 1 year old Kia Sorento GTS Line (£44k) and the surface of the gear stick is coming away and they say it's from an outside influence! The car has only done 9500 miles. I previously owned another Sorento with now issues. The gear stick is hardly used. ABSOLUTE JOKE! Last Kia I will ever buy. People go and buy a better brand of car. Their warranty is a joke!!
Seen a sportage on the website during lockdown.
Really set my heart on it.( wanted it and got it) with the help of Jonny.
Jonny brought the car to me he sat on my wall on a very hot day whilst I took it for a test drive.Jonny was very polite friendly and had a brilliant personality the car i set my heart on was on my drive within a week.
Thank you to Jonny. @ Kia Bury
Loving my Sportage!
Let me make it clear from the start their salesman was 1st class, but from there it hits rock bottom. Spent £21K for a Kia Sportage on 24th March, it lasted 33 miles before it broke down (engine management light on). Rang for help said they would call me back didn't rang again and told my problem to get it back. Limped back sat 2 hours to be told its an sensor on exhaust. They would supply a loan car, which duly turned up via a ploughed field and it was an auto. when I explained I had never driven one I was told 'that's your problem'. When I got a bit narked and asked to see someone in authority a manual 'stonic' was found. Off we went 60 miles home. On the 26th march dealership decided to shut not even bothering to tell us when we could have our car back if at all. Had to involve kia Uk to find out when and where our car was and when we could expect it back. When we eventually got it back we had a 120 mile round trip to do so. Whoever gave me the car back didn't even attempt to apologise and at no time have we ever received one. THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE MADE US FEEL SUB HUMAN WE WERE TREATED LIKE DIRT AND IT WAS TOTALLY OUR FAULT. Please think very carefully before taking your car here if at all possible go elsewhere. Is it worth while contacting Kia UK not really they didn't even bother to call back. Have contacted them today and awaiting a call by end of day. Have they rang as promised NO, I will not spend a further penny with KIA.
My experience at acorn kia burntwood was fantastic. I originally went down to talk and look at some cars which would be within my budget and thanks to the team they were able to do just that. The gentleman who helped me answered all my questions and helped me throughout the whole process especially since I never had to get a car on finance before on my own. What went from looking at a car to then purchasing it all because of the help and guidance from the team. The team are great, they help you get the car you desire by working around your budget and trying their hardest to reach that target. I get my new fiesta 2017 next week and can't wait. Can't thank the team enough.
Brought a £30,000 second hand car from Victor Wood Grantham, had it a year been in and out of garage for brakes. In again and has been for yet again over a week! The vehicle is a 67 plate stinger and mentioned to have Brembo brakes on it and it’s on it’s third set in a year to try and stop to server vibrations through the car and dash board braking at only 60mph! Last set of fish have only last for 3000 miles which is a joke!!! Registered compliant with Kia UK expecting some support as not offered a courtesy car by garage then was told by Victor Wood that Kia UK said that the car was apparently fixed however it’s still in their workshop in bits on their ramps!! Will NEVER buy another Kia and will definitely not recommend to friends family or even anyone I don’t like! Expected better but let fine with Kia UK saying they would support us and keep us informed by phone or email but ended up being the same as the “ family run business”! Full of empty promises. And still paying for a car we can’t drive!!!!
I have two Kia’s, from the seven visits I have had to do because there is always one thing or another wrong (covered under warranty) with one or the other I have had 1 okayish experience.
I was booked in for a 20 minute initial check waited three weeks for my appointment I got there and they said we need the car for the whole day?
So I explained I would need a replacement car they said in that case we can book you in at a later date .
I said you’ve wasted my day I’ve come all The way here and your not even going to look at it. The rude woman at reception said ‘well it’s not my fault’ I said well it’s not mine either, your call centre booked me in, why was I told a completely different story to what your saying I would never have come in if I had known it was an all day (9-6) wait.
But she kept repeating it was nothing to do with her she raised her voice got a couple of other staff to come over and I felt so embarrassed as if I had done something wrong. I was amazed at how she was raising her voice to attract Attention .
Kia has the most rubbish after-sales service the worst, you could. You could not make up the things they come Up with, appalling service and the funny thing is they don’t actually care . I said I would do a review, the response was a shrug of the shoulders.
Don’t buy a Kia the, 7 year warranty is a trap. Cars are of poor quality there is always something wrong with them and you spend your whole time trying to sort out the issues, the cars are a nightmare . Kia really need to take a long look at their customer service, sooner or later they will fall flat on their face as a Comapny if they don’t change their behaviour towards customers at the service point.
