Absolutely the worst company and people I have ever dealt with. This is my third review. We have hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills from county mandated rabies treatments from a home that was infested by bats, and Darwin and their insurance provider, Gallagher Bassett refuse to pay, so now we advance.
It isn't always easy getting things right the first time around. Due to some unresolved and ongoing issues, we had to escalate some of our maintenance issues. Tom Rugg (Maintenance Manager) immediately stepped in to assist and within 24 hours, had all of our issues resolved and/or scheduled. He provided a personalized & courteous touch that displayed his care for customer satisfaction. I am so happy we have Tom on our side, and don't want to think about what our experience would be like without him. He is a top asset to the Darwin team and deserves all the kudos for the resolution of our issues.
Horrible HR practices. Jennifer Weimer, a “recruiter,” did not do her job and the courteous practice of sending a personal email for reasons as to why a potential position was not the right fit, instead she had AI do her job or a keyword search, it’s lazy and incompetence.
Darwin Homes management is thorough in the work that they do, which makes living in a Darwin home very convenient. I've enjoyed working with the management team at Darwin. I can't say that for other landlords that I've had.
Service Request Original Date: 9/23/24 Current Date: 11/15/24 I requested a service request to address a soft spot on the kitchen that was due to a possible leak with the dishwasher. After some back and forth, Adoor sent someone out who took a look and said some tiles and the dishwasher needed to be replaced. On 10/29/24 a dishwasher was replaced but the floor was still soft and showing signs of mold. A tech arrived on 11/6/24 and pulled up some tiles and as you can see from the photos is covered in mold and rott. The tech said he was only approved to replace a couple sheets of tile and spray the affect area with mold spray. Then tried to scrap it up which he did a horrible job doing. The photo was taken after the scraping and spray. He then left saying he has to pick up his kid from school. Week ending 11/16/24. The tech came back to the house and tried completely more work but said he was only approved to replace the tiles and a small portion of subfloor under the dishwasher. Adoor said they were replacing 1 to 2 sheets of sub floor which conflicted with what Adoor approved. This same tech reminded me multiple times that he was not a floor guy and he would do the best he could. After having a conversation with Adoor. They said they would not be able to get a different tech out till 11/18/24. The house reeks of mold. We can't cook in our kitchen and have been confined to our rooms because of the smell. The company has no sense of urgency and will only communicate through email. Sometimes go days with no responses. I've taken multiple days off to be able to accommodate Adoor yet I've received nothing in response. Avoid Adoor property management. They will not assist you in a timely manner.
We moved out of their 1636 Willie Mays Pkwy property on 8/31 due to it being sold. They gave plenty of notice. We sent in the ACH form and even provided our forwarding address. We heard nothing for over a month. They sent it to the wrong address then blamed us for providing an address in Ocala, FL when we have no ties to there. They said it was sent via certified mail. Fast forward to November 8th and we cannot get a clear answer. The call center people via the phone are incredibly rude and the property managers are all giving us different answers and then not following up. I've requested for a tracking for the certified mail 4 TIMES and they keep sending the ledger and have not confirmed that It has been sent with any form of tracking or proof of mailing. This was $2015 dollars that we are missing and will be seeking further action if this is not solved. I definitely do not recommend this company.
My first time ever having to deal with a company to rent a house and I must say,it is so far 2 weeks in from applying to renting that it has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had of renting in all of my years!!!!You can never get anyone on the phone most of the time unless you stay on the phone for an hour,then you'll get someone who you can barely understand and then they can never answer any questions about anything.The only thing you're ever told is that they will send a request for someone to call you and that never happens!!! The house I rented was not cleaned properly,the carpet and bathrooms were all dirty,the garage doesn't work properly,there is a leak under the sink that was not fixed before I got in and I work from home on one if my jobs and have not been able to get any internet set up because they keep telling me that ill have to get permission to do that from a manager who as I said before is nowhere to be found! The rental properties are all inflated and not even worth the money.I will never ever ever rent from this company again!!!!
I've had an amazing experience with Darwin Homes Property Management. The staff are hall super friendly and are always ready to help. Their assistance was not only prompt but also handled with utmost professionalism. The setup process, which can often be daunting, was made incredibly easy by their efficient and professional approach. Highly recommend!
Cannot get in touch with company…. CEILING HAS FELL IN OUR LIVING ROOM. SENT AN URGET MESSAGE ON OCTOBER 14th…NO RESPONSE.. SENT ANOTHER EMAIL SAME MESSAGE NO RESPONSE… HOUSE IS INHABITABLE…
Renu was the original property management company. They were purchased by Darwin. Both companies are the worst. The homes "look" decent in photos, but they photoshop all of the pictures... especially lawn photos. The materials they use for repairs are the cheapest of the cheap. The people they send out to do estimate, after estimate, after estimate, after estimate are borderline creepy. When they finally approve an estimate, the repair may or may not be completed in a timely manner and certainly not well done. Don't rent from them.
By far the worst experience I’ve had. From dealing with Home River Group to switching over to this company.. I have been on the phone for literally 2days trying to get someone on the phone.. I’ve been listening to music and haven’t gotten a chance to speak with anything.. Since switching over from one company to this one, I have not been able to make a payment with them, because I don’t have portal access.. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.. Can’t get ahold to anyone for any assistance..
I went through several companies before finding Darwin Homes Property Management, and I couldn't be more happier! When it comes to apartment property management, they truly go the extra mile. Special shoutout to them for their exceptional service and attention to detail they made the whole process seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend them to everyone, I have already told about them to my friends and family.
My husband got scam on Darwin site. He aply on the site, they send us a door code to see the house, we saw, aply, the owner call us, made the contract, take all his documents, when the contract was ready, and we were going to made $ 3.800 deposit, I suspected because contract was not professional. Them we call Darwin homes to make sure is everything ok and we discovery we didn't talk to Darwin, someone scam Darwin site/ ap, and got all his information, now , his documents are under a crimer. Darwin homes never even did anything to help. Taken care.
Phantom fees for non-existent work. No itemized invoice for supposed work performed on behalf of the renter. Such a scam. Difficult to get in touch with anyone in the office and no one returns your calls. This is what happens when there is no regulation on businesses like this. Horrible company to rent from or do business with. I can't tell enough people how much of a scam this company is. STAY AWAY !!
I highly recommend Darwin Homes as a property management company. They were incredibly responsive and always ensured that any issues were addressed promptly. Whenever something needed fixing, they sent someone over in a timely manner, and the work was always done well. Their professionalism and dedication made my rental smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient property management company, they are the one to call.
If I could put a negative star on this company I would! They took over a property that my daughter was in and did not even take photos of the property. When she moved out, they laid all of the poor state of the house as her responsibility. She did not get her deposit back and they charged her almost another months rent for damages that were already there. RENTER BEWARE!!!! Darwin also puts exorbitant fees for basic repairs and you have to deal with a new person via every email. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!
We have been renting through Darwin Homes properties for almost 2 years now and they are the best!! Every showing/ move in is always so nice and clean. The people in office are always so nice and such a pleasure to talk to & their maintenance team is awesome. 100% recommend to anyone! Thanks!
TRASH COMPANY. they took over our property management and ive sent numerous request to have my keyless door locked as it doesnt work and locks me out often without being able to get back in. They cancelled both without any reason. ive called them three times regarding it, no call back. DO NOT RENT WITH THEM.
This company is the worst. Please do not believe any positive reviews. Every one star I’ve seen is basically what we have been dealing with. We have a rental home in Florida. Moved in mid summer. Air conditioning did not work. They had us go buy portable ac and said they would reimburse us. They wont reimburse the electric from using it. We are limited to one room with the portable as its still not fixed 6 mont later!!!! Water comes out smelling disgusting and is yellow. Now the toilets are backing up. There is black mold growing on the ceilings because of lack of ac. I could go on and on. And Alyssa ,….. oh she’s a terrible person to deal with.
