Shysters! Stay away!

They my lease over from Renu and it's been a nightmare since. I had already initiated move out when they took over 10 days before my scheduled move out date. There were many reported issues with the property when I moved in that weren't fixed by Renu and not Darwin is charging me $2300 from my deposit to fix the things that were there prior to my move in! I have submitted all proof but they are still not returning my money. Steer clear of this company, only out to take your money.

Their outsourced maintenance team (CINQ) sucks!

They are good about getting you in there, but once you’re contractually locked in they forget about you. I went days with no hot water when I first moved in because the water heater was bad when I moved in. Several days, we had to shower at families houses. Got that resolved, finally, and then their maintenance team (CINQ) went inside for a work order, left, and left my garage door wide open. He knew my 16 year old was there because she let him in. My daughter calls me at work, scared as hell, and says someone is in the house! He didn’t say he was leaving, nor coming back, and he just left my house unattended while he went to Home Depot! Recently discovered there was either a squirrel or mouse in my pipes and put in a request. They never came or called, so I did it again. Nothing. The company CINQ was supposed to respond but they don’t answer the phone and Never returned my voicemails! My latest complaint is from last week! My garage door came off the hinge and I put in a request. They turned it over to CINQ, and guess who never came or called. That’s right, CINQ. The Darwin lady sent an email and CC’d to them and they never answered that either. I was told by Darwin reps that I had to wait on CINQ which meant me going all night unprotected in my home with a minor child. The next day, I paid someone $140 to fix it and then CINQ called to say that they wouldn’t be able to get to me until next week! Mind you, I put in an emergency request. Long story short, this company is good for just putting you in the home - not anything else. I don’t even have access to my property manager! Who can I talk to?? I did a 2 year lease but now kinda wish I did one. People should beware!

They are friendly, professional, and very responsive to all my questions, concerns, and inquiries. Do not rent with Darwin or Adoor or any…

Do not rent with Darwin or Adoor or any company associated with Darwin. I moved into this home a year ago, I turned in my move in inspection and they claimed they didn’t receive it and I turned it into them three times. Luckily I have the copy of it, for when I move out next month. 5 months after moving in I had a series of unfortunate events such as my husband becoming terminally ill, and going into hospice care, within our home not in a hospice house or center, so income was cut in two so I had to find a better job and multiple jobs to compensate so rent was late for 3 months in a row during that time, but it was still paid and the fees tacked on by them were also paid with it. So I paid $500 more those 3 months for rent. The third month o asked if there was any way they could give me a couple of days past the date they were going to start the eviction process and explains the situation and explained I had just gotten a job that paid much better but would get the first check only days after that eviction process start date on their letter, only to be rudely told that the eviction process would be starting that weekend and they would not give me until the Wednesday after, 3 days after, to pay the full amount which was rent plus the $500 late fee. So I had to borrow money from a family member to pay. No empathy at all for the fact that my husband lay dying, I haven’t been able to even begin the grieving or coping process because of their threats of eviction which started on the 4th of the month, for those three months, on top of a son who’s autistic with ADHD and another son who is severe ADHD. Then 60 days before my lease is due for renewal or to go to month to month as my lease agreement states I get a notice that I am to move out on my lease end date. No other option. Yet my husband is still on hospice care even closer to death than he was before and now I have to scramble to try to find another place to live and with NO explanation as to why I have to move?! And I asked but no response. I have never in my life felt more unwelcomed inside my own home as I have the last 6 months inside of the home I’ve been leasing from Darwin Homes. I know they won’t give me my deposit back from what I’m reading on the reviews which is sad because I put a $4,500 deposit on this house. And I had to make improvements to their maintenance persons hack job at what they did to try to make this place rentable for me to move in here. There should be an entity that monitors these slum-lord-mega-corps such as Darwin and apparently Adoor is affiliated with them, so that they don’t continue to scam people out of their money or throw people on the streets causing unnecessary homelessness. I’m completely disgusted with them as a company.

Adoor Property Management was a godsend…

Adoor Property Management was a godsend in helping me rent my property! They not only called me personally on a weekend evening to confirm and congratulate me but then proceeded to assist me the following Sunday. They were a true BLESSING!! Thank you🙏🏽🥰!!So grateful,

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. They took over the lease from a previous property management company. It has been several months of a pool not being properly serviced because they deny the bids. Another two weeks of not being able to use the garage due to a broken spring and them not approving the bid. Stay away from this company. Their portal, communication skills, and just about anything required to meet bare minimum standards for adequate is god awful!

I was just threatened with eviction by…

I was just threatened with eviction by Marvy Monte for a charge, for a broken blind. She lied on her email stating that I haven't paid rent and threatened to lock my account to prevent me from paying and proceeding with eviction if I don't pay this made up fee. Nowhere on my lease it says I am responsible for paying for broken blinds. The mechanism of the blind broke, this is not some type of animal damage Btw. The technician decided not to repair the mechanism and just went to buy a new blind. When I called Darwin, the associate on the phone pretended to want to help but then told me to resolve this issue with Monte directly, who made herself unavailable on the phone. I emailed her and requested a call back and was ignored. Don't do business with this company. They are money hungry and do not value their residents. I wish I could rate them 0 stars.

I recently was transferred to darwin homes from another company at the beginning of being transferred to this property management company I was having alot of issues with this company and had listed a bad review I'm getting on this website and I'm updating my experience.I CAN NOW SAY I BELIEVE MY EXPERIENCE WITH DARWIN HOMES IS BEGINNING TO BE ALOT BETTER! I am writing to formally complain AGAIN…

I am writing to formally complain AGAIN about the extremely unsafe and hazardous living conditions that I have been forced to endure for the past 17 days. The lack of running water has made it impossible to maintain basic hygiene and sanitation, which is not only inhumane but also poses serious health risks. Having to use bags for bowel movements, unable to wash dishes, and manually removing waste from toilets due to the inability to flush them is beyond unacceptable. This situation has left me without the means to cook, shower, or even have company over. Despite paying almost $2000 a month in rent and never being late, I have been met with silence and empty assurances that my problems are being handled. This lack of communication and urgency is deeply disappointing. Furthermore, the financial burden of dealing with these unexpected expenses is overwhelming. Not once was I offered any form of temporary accommodation, such as a hotel stay for me and my daughter, so we could maintain some semblance of normalcy and hygiene. The lack of compassion and care for your tenants is appalling. I urge you to address this matter with the utmost urgency and provide a solution to restore water to my residence immediately. This is no way for anyone to live, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the living conditions meet basic human standards. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to this matte

Not a reliable company

Assigned agent called an excessive amount of times within a 2 hour period. This was call after call, with no response from my part because it was the morning and I was at work. The repeated calls were about a cancelled application. The initial application was cancelled and was then completed properly on a separate application in the same name. I was then told over the phone and received a confirmation email that my application had been accepted. We started packing and scheduling moving trucks. A few days later, I got a call that I had actually not been accepted and that our application was denied due to an incorrect error on Darwin Homes part. They had sent and approved two applications for the same property. Dealing with this company has been a joke. I do not and will not be recommending Darwin Homes to anyone.

Darwin homes I would highly recommend

I and a current resident of a Darwin homes property. Initially getting started with them was pretty smooth compared with some of the other rental companies, they got back quickly and helped us through the process. If I were to review them early in our relationship they would not be getting a good review but they have greatly improved communication and greatly improved the vendors and maintenance people that come out. My biggest issue was lack of communication when I was having a long maintenance issue. I ended up moving up the Darwin management chain, eventually got my issue resolved and they even gave me a credit for all the hassle. I would definitely recommend Darwin as a property manager, the improved communication, follow up, thoroughness when there's an issue comes off that they care and appreciate you as a resident. We live in a very nice neighborhood and Darwin homes doesn’t care at all

We live in a very nice neighborhood , Emerald Pointe in Knightdale North Carolina. Darwin Holmes has rented out a house to a family of apparently if 12 they are breeding bully breeds and cane Corso dogs. They have toddlers in the home and are constant issues with the police department. Several of us neighbors who live in close proximity to this renal home have contacted Darwin over and over again. We never get calls back and two of us have been hung up on! We as a neighborhood or attempting to find out who owns this house so we can call Darwin properties out for this absolutely unacceptable rental situation. I have four rental homes myself, I would be disgusted if one of my homes was rented to a family that Darwin homes has rented out at 220 spinel lane, Knightdale NC. Shame on this company clearly they don’t care about what the owner’s property is going through nor duvet adequately screen the renters. I can’t say enough about this. I would not trust your homes with this company at all. I wish they would call myself or the 3 other neighbors who have called regarding this rental property but clearly they don’t care. Shane on them.

My spouse and I just bought a home from Adoor.It has been an amazing experience since day one when we walked into the home. They were absolutely incredible to purchase with! I honestly cannot express how very excited and happy we are. We couldn't have found a better company, their staff is also exceptional. Thank you again. Five stars all the way and we highly recommend Adoor Property Management.

Slum Lords!

Slum Lords!! We have never been late with our legal obligations with paying them . In return they take at least a month to do any maintenance request and these work orders involve HVAC, exterior lock, replacing dishwasher. Absolutely no correspondence from constant emails asking for updates on these work orders. When I have called the posted maintenance number told it is another group whom I have never talked with as calls go unanswered.Pure slum Lords!!!
