She was really helpful and reassuring and guided me through the process, responding very quickly and clearly. She was excellent and I am now confident that I have the cover I bought. Excellent Customer Service from Chloe

Unfortunately I had to cancel my new policy, due to an issue with the age of my car so emailed Customer Services, who responded in a very timely manner. I dealt with Chloe and even though when she picked up the first email from me on a day off, she still made me aware she had picked it up and would keep me updated, which she did. The whole process with her, whilst also simultaneously dealing with Groupon was slick and it was a real pleasure to deal with somebody who kept you informed throughout the process and whose communication skills and customer service were exemplary. Thanks Chloe.

Very good break down car cover

Quite shocking,was charged £45 told…

Quite shocking,was charged £45 told 90minutes for recovery & after 2hrs phoned back only to be told they had been delayed & were sending another breakdown company.Would you not have thought there system would have flagged up that the 90minutes had expired & for them to contact me rather than me call them.45 minutes later the other company turned up after I had been told they were coming from 10 miles away which turned out a lie as the driver had been heading back from Bradford when he got the call,so in all over 3 hrs after I originally called.They tell you things that aren't true & charge you 45 pound for the privilege. Will not be going with this company again,I suppose you get what you pay for.Green flag or RAC may be a bit more expensive but you won't get ripped off when you break down.

Be Smart - Stay away!

I bought the Premium Breakdown cover via Gropupon on 28th Feb., and received an email informing me I would get the documents within 24 hours. On 2nd Mar, I tried calling them but informed that office hours are only 10am-3pm Mon-Fri. I emailed them that I wanted to cancel.1) because I hadn't received the documents 2) Having read the reviews implying this company uses under-handed tactics to get you to pay excesses when you need them. This is 3rd Mar and still not a word. Groupon are no help at all. To say I do not trust this company is the putting it mildly. Pity there are no ZERO Stars!

My daughter was stranded for hours with…

My daughter was stranded for hours with an elderly lady straight out of hospital. She phoned to say she had broken down but took 25 minutes and loads of stress on the phone only to be cut off. I had to phone for her, another 25 minutes on phone for me.Very slow to deal with. Beware of a £45 excess if car is over 10 years old. My daughter didn't have a bank card with her and they wouldn't send recovery until excess was paid. She would have been stranded if I didn't pay. I don't think I would use them again. I'll stick with getting her breakdown cover from elsewhere.

The car breakdown cover offer is very misleading

The car breakdown cover offer is extremely misleading. You have to pay an extra £35for a home call out - even when you pay for Home Assist, and £45 if your call is 10 years or older ie an £80 call out at home having paid fro your home assist policy ! I tried to cancel my policy with 14 days but it says once you have redeemed (to find out the T&C's) you cannot get a refund !! I'll never go near Be Smart again !!

SCAM!!!!

I have purchased this via Groupon and at NO point was I advised that there is a £45 extra charge for cars over 10 years old! This is false advertising. They wanted £45 to come out and fix a flat tyre. This issue has nothing to do with the age of the car! Absulte SCAM! Stay away!

Renewed Policy with no notification emails after the 1st year.

I realised that this company had continued taking monthly payments for breakdown cover without any notification emails or renewal conformation. Have had almost a years worth of cover I didn't require. Have all the emails from 2022 but nothing in 2023? You must send a renewal email a month before actual renewal and an email confirming the direct debit will carry on for another 12 months. None of which I received. Email customer services and was basically told tough luck and was quoted the T's&C's. Very disappointing attitude. Update. After their initial response I replied asking for them for proof they had sent notification of the policy renewal and updated direct debit instruction. They couldn’t provide any proof so a refund was issued.

Please consider carefully before…

Please consider carefully before purchasing any break covers from this company. I had a very negative experience with them when I purchased full covers. They decided not to come and made excuses that they could not do anything, even though I was in a dangerous situation. Worst company ever

What a joke of a breakdown service

What went wrong.Well,where do I start. Had a puncture on the motorway so called for help for a tyre change. When I called to report the breakdown the guy on the phone was telling me my policy was out of date.I tried telling him that my cover ran out on 30th July and that I had renewed it and had my email and documents to prove it.Anyway after so much deliberation and keeping me on hold numerous times he finally said he'd found my cover.Phew! However,then as he started asking me questions I told him I'd had a puncture and just needed it changing as I had a spare.It was as if he didn't know what he was doing.He asked me where I wanted to go??I said i didn't need to go anywhere and just have my tyre changed.Again,after another how many repeated answers he said my breakdown had be reported. I was told there was a 60-90 minute wait time which was reasonable. We waited over the 90 minutes just incase then I phoned for an update.I was told that he had put me down as being in Glasgow when I was on the M1 near Mansfield???I then spoke to the breakdown place and again was told the same 60-90 minutes as the person coming out was just leaving Leicester.We waited again (20minutes)and then got a text to track my breakdown vehicle.It was still the other side of Leicester and as I kept checking the tracking just did not move for about 30 minutes.Finally the tracker started working and we followed it up the M1.That 60-90 minutes turned into 4 hours!!!!!. That wasn't the end of it though.Oh no,when the vehicle turned up it was a relay transporter.I told the guy I only needed a tyre change not relay.He told me he would transfer me to the nearest services and the tyre would be changed.We sat in the back of his cab while he tried to put my car on the back of the relay truck.He couldn't get the ramp to lower for about another 15 minutes.Eventually he did it and got back into the truck.He then told us again he would take us to the services but then we would have to wait for someone else to come alway from Leicester again to change the tyre.We were not happy at all with that because that would mean atleast another hour waiting. We eventually got to the services and he tried to dump us in the middle of the HGV car park.Well, again he couldn't get the ramp to work and my car was stuck on the back of the truck for about half an hour.He had no idea what to do and just kept laughing (we did have a laugh ourselves but it was by no means funny).Fair play he did then get the car off eventually and he did then change the tyre himself to save us waiting another hour or so.Took about 10 minutes after all that waiting. It took us 7 hours to get somewhere that normally takes just over an hour.What a nightmare!!!! You asked me to send you a copy of this complaint so that you can take it up with the recovery company but if you go back and check your records then you should find that I DID send you the exact same complaint on the same day so you should already have the complaint on record!!!
