Customer service waits and bad speeds. Not only do we rarely reach anywhere near 200mbps when we pay for 500mbps, our router broke and I gave up trying to get hold of anyone after 3 hours. Live chat would make you sit with your phone open for an hour, before cutting you off when you get to the front of the queue. I'd rather you'd just closed evenings and weekends than pretend you're going to help and waste my time in a never ending queue.
1/5 I’ve been with More Telecom for a while and everything was great until they moved over to Aussie Broadband on 1 June 2026. Since then the internet has been shit. I have a Google WiFi 6E setup with 3 extenders that cost me around $700. Before the change I was getting around 850 Mbps at the router and 350 to 400 Mbps through the extenders in every room. Now I’m lucky to get 300 Mbps at the router and around 100 Mbps through the extenders. I’m paying for 1000 Mbps too. Same house. Same equipment. Same setup. The only thing that changed was the provider behind the service. Pretty ridiculous. More Telecom was great before the move. Since Aussie Broadband got involved the speeds have gone backwards massively. Wouldn’t recommend Aussie Broadband at all.
40+ minute wait time to speak to someone who can’t help you. Almost 4 hours on the phone to people not knowing wtf they’re talking about, them having to ask someone else what to do every 5 minutes, then saying that I “shouldn’t” have to pay for a technician to come out..wtf do you mean “shouldn’t”? I’m not paying anything! Thank god my neighbour is an electrician. Saved me hundreds. Just having to unscrew the external box (which your customer service did not believe was on the side of my house and almost had me crawling through my ceiling). I’ve just switched to these useless people. Should’ve stayed with my old provider. I WFH 3 days a week and run a business on the side. You’ve cost me time, money, patience and sanity.
I purchased new broadband service on 24 august to get everything ready when i move to new property, i even called the customer service as i did not receive anything enail after payment then i was told everything been sent through and sorted, i was reassured everything will be connected before i move. Only to find out the day before that nothing has been done. Worse thing is nobody is there to tell me i had to double check call the call center to find out then ask for everything to be sent out my service will be delayed for days which i was desperately trying to avoid.
Paid top dollar for router and it fails one month out of warranty… Don’t trust this company!
"don't give a F attitude", yes this is very accurate... I can't believe you advertised that... But it makes sense considering the crap attitude I received. I Ordered Aussie broadband, with a new modem/router. The modem/router was sent in a few days, but it took quite a while for AB to actually connect me to the NBN network. Something like 21 days 🤦🏿 I started using the net once it was all connected and had issues, weird issues I'd never experienced since using 56k internet in the 90s!! My internet would take SO long to load a page when browsing or loading up stream services. And then it would buffer and buffer... So bad. I tried many fixes, contacted NBN to confirm if my connection was stable, which it was because I'd transfered from another ISP and had NBN. I called AB to confirm if my connection was ok, and they said it was fine and must be something wrong on my end... despite being sent a "preconfigured modem/router" from Aussie Lapband. After around 10 days of this I had a friend come over to help with the issue. He brought over a different modem/router to test. Connected it, it automatically configured, and the net worked perfectly with great speeds and no more 5 minutes waits for a browser search to appear. Conclusion, the modem/router wasnt working. At this stage it was day 33 or 34. I contacted Aussie Jokeband to get a refund on the modem/router because my friend gave me his older one which was working perfectly. They said "we only offer a refund or replacement within 30 days of the modem/router arriving at your premises". Are you FN kidding...? I argued and argued, escalated the ticket, argued some more and ultimately was told to p off because it's been over 30 days. I then contacted the modem/router company to see what their warranty agreement was. They said it was a 2 year warranty! Wow... I informed them of the situation and they told me that the warranty falls under Aussie Bawllband and because I purchased the modem through them, they cant give me a refund through their company, it just be done through Aussie Broband. I contacted them again to tell them it's a 2 year warranty based on the actual modem companies policy and I want my money back, and they said no again... This was a $250+ modem/router... I escalate the ticket again and actually get someone that tries to help me rather than P in my ears with more pathetic "support". They told me that from their end they can see that THE MODEM WASNT CONFIGURED CORRECTLY! are you fN kidding me...?! So it's actually YOUR fault, and I still can't get a refund?! He said he'd like to refund me but it goes against the company policy 🤦🏿 pathetic... He then offered to remotely configure the modem/router. I told him no, and to transfer me to the team that cancels accounts, and left. Went with Origin, way better. I ended up selling the modem/router for $180 and informed them of my issue. Aussie Gronkband is an absolute joke. And definitely have a "don't give a F attitude" like their ad used to say. Avoid them at all costs!
I cancelled my connection and you transferred me still WHILE I WAS WORKING and turned off my internet. Had to spend an hour on the phone with them. Absolute scammers.
In what world is a customer given only one week to pay a bill?!? Also, apparently even though I'm a customer, I've not been given the necessary details to log in to their useless app. Not happy with these guys- very unprofessional!
Completely forget this company. They have such huge phone wait times and then send you to debt collectors without even telling you anything or sending you a bill. Their service is horrendous. Do yourself a favour go elsewhere.
Poor speed and wait times so long (nearly an hour) I gave up. I tried twice. Ended up with Aussie Broadband through AGL partnering with them. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic!
Aussie Broadband used to be the best when it came to internet. But eventually I got sick of them. Loyal customer for over 4 years but the price kept going up while the service went down. Finally had enough and ported internet to Telstra. I work for Telstra and found what I wanted faster and much cheaper than Aussie ever was. Ported my mobile to them after leaving Vodafone but plan went up $10 so only stayed for a few months being porting over to amaysim last week. Even calling up to cancel was a nightmare. On hold for an hour with cancellation team. Now I can tell why Telstra penalizes us for keeping customers on hold over 25 minutes! I told my boss at work today it was disgusting I had to wait that long to speak to anyone and I hung up at least 3 times anyway. Only positive feedback was that I did enjoy local support whenever I called but yeah, it would be nice if someone would answer the damn phone! Honestly I would never go back again
They started out with great service great prices and now I am paying nearly double monthly fees for a service that is consistently dropping out- brand new router that they made me pay for to “fix “ the issue and I am still having major issues- they keep blaming the NBN - time to change service provider! 11/08/2026 Aussie internet down every 5 minutes and this is in the middle of Sydney- they keep blaming the NBN …. No work getting done today
Aussie BB have seriously dropped the ball with their customer service. Over one hour wait on the phone, and I had to hang up both times. Then dealing with terrible online chat was the kicker - semi-literate, and utterly lacking in empathy. Their billing is the source of the problem - Every - SINGLE - time!! WOEFUL!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Where do I even start? I jumped onto Aussie Broadband's live chat expecting a stressful back-and-forth over my mobile service... instead, I got Kyle. Absolute legend. From the very first message, Kyle was friendly, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and somehow managed to make dealing with a Telco issue feel almost... enjoyable. He knew exactly what he was doing, kept me updated the whole way through, and got everything sorted without making me feel like I was speaking another language. Kyle, mate, you're an absolute lifesaver. If there were a Hall of Fame for tech support, your photo should be front and centre. Now, in the most respectful, tongue-in-cheek bromantic way possible... if Aussie Broadband ever loses you, I'm lodging a complaint. I may have logged into live chat for help with my phone service, but I wasn't expecting to leave with a newfound appreciation for elite customer service and a slight bro-crush on the bloke behind the keyboard. 😂 Seriously though, Kyle is the kind of support person every company wishes they had. Friendly, funny, patient, and ridiculously good at his job. Aussie Broadband, whatever you're paying him, double it. Protect this man at all costs. Thanks again, Kyle. You turned what could've been a frustrating Telco headache into one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. Absolute champion. 11/10. I can't thank you enough, really appreciate all your help and all you've done. Truly amazing work man!!! Keep up the great work! You're too awesome! 👍 👍 😎🥰😍🤩😏🤙 Best tech support and customer service ever! Cheers Sam
I can see why this company has a sub 3 star review on average. Disgusting customer service No attempt to contact the customer when payments are missed prior to escalation to debt collectors, no care about hardships the customer may be experiencing and no willingness to accept accountability after the fact. They do not wish to help the customer, only take their money and will not assist when required. escalated to a debt collector in less than a month with no attempted contact to the customer when they have your phone number on record.
Terrible customer service! Impossible to get on the phone, when you finally get through, they will assure you everything is being done to correct your problem but nothing seems to change. STAY CLEAR OF AUSSIE BROADBAND!!
Messages received are no reply settings so you are not able to communicate, phone wait time was 24 minutes first time to day subsequently 28 minutes wait and still not connected and gave up, just to get the access link to pay the outstanding Bill, quite frustrating, the link sent valid for an hour expired within 20 minutes
I'm with ABB since 2020 and my plan is 500/50mbps unlimitted data. I have FTTP connected to my place and I'm getting the maximum speed provided by them and I'm very happy with their service. If people keeps complaining, I think they have real problems with services provided to them or people are expecting too much but the services and infrustructures are not there to support.
I had a great experience with Deborah in the Aussie Broadband sales team late on a Friday afternoon when most Sales people have clocked off!! Helping my IT illiterate friend with a problematic address connect to Aussie Broadband. Tracking down the address in the NBN database due to it being a large, heritage listed community housing estate was very difficult. Deborah was extremely helpful, and went to extraordinary lengths to assist in the facilitation of the connection. This is reflective of the customer service I have also received from Aussie Broadband as a customer of many years, and can highly recommend their business as an ISP of choice. Thank you Deborah and the whole Aussie Broadband team, keep up the great work!

Complaints about poor internet speeds are prevalent, with users frequently noting that they do not receive the speeds they pay for, leading to frustration. Additionally, issues with billing practices and router failures contribute to a negative perception of the company.
