Mint is a quality service provider at a reasonable price. It also offers some excellent phone deals. What's not to like about that?!

When they sell you, everything sounds great. I wish I had seen these previous reviews first. On 7/29, Mint Mobile charged my card $802.94. This was to cover a Samsung S25 and a year of service. As I am typing this, on 8/30, I have no useable phone at all. May I relate to zero stars here? All I wanted was to disable the voice mail for my own legal reason. They tried twice. The first time it worked for a few days, then I started getting more voice mail notifications. I called back to 611, and explained again. This time I was told to restart the phone, and the voice mail would be gone. It might be, but I wouldn't know. My phone won't even accept my pin #. It's completely disabled. When they sell you, they fervently explain that they save so money by not having stores. Well, isn't that special? The only way to get their attention now is to declare the fraud to the credit card company. It's also the only way I could ever get my money back
Service and Price amazing ! No issues at all!
Great phone service. I have not had any issues.
I signed up for Mint Mobile during a promotion on 08/03/2025. I got the Unlimited Plan that was 12 Months for $15 per month. Since I was interested in keeping the service, I paid in full for an entire year. Initially, I transferred one of my marketing numbers, in lieu of getting a new random local number. After a few weeks, the service was good. I didn't notice any major differences from T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon, and I have actually tried all three over the past year. I was happy now and simply wanted to keep the service active and get a new phone number so I could use my telephone number elsewhere. Well, that was not to be... Hey there ! This is Gerald from Mint Mobile Customer Care. Thanks for reaching out! How can I help you today? I am transferring my primary phone number to a different provider and need my port out code AND a new telephone number for this account, please. I will also be switching mobile devices, to my older iPhone 14 Pro Max, when I receive the new telephone number. I understand you're inquiring about porting out your services. Even though that is the last thing we want to hear from a valued customer like you, I can help you with that! I will generate the port out information for you. Please verify the Mint mobile number together with your full name, the full name and email address showing with the account? I need a NEW number and you to allow me to release my existing phone number. I am happy with your service and would like to keep it, however I need a new number on this account, since I would like to transfer xxxxxxxxxx elsewhere. I do not need a new order. I just need a new number. People change their mobile numbers all the time. That is all I want to do. AND release my old number, so I can use it elsewhere. Oh I see. If you change your mobile number xxxxxxxxxx , you may lose it and may not be able to transfer it, which is why we need to process a new order for a brand new mobile number. Then you can still keep the xxxxxxxxxx if you want to transfer it to a different carrier. So I need to pay more money, just to get a new number? If it's a brand new mobile number, you can take advantage of the promotion. Never mind. I simply need my Account Number and my transfer out PIN. So just to confirm, once I transfer xxxxxxxxxx away from Mint Mobile, you are going to cancel the account I pre-paid for? RIGHT? Again, I am asking nicely. Can I please get a new number so I do not have to cancel this account. I just do not want to use the existing number I signed up with on a mobile device. For existing customers, you are allowed one number change within a six-month period by logging into your account and navigating to "Account Settings" or by contacting customer support. Your website says I can request a new number once. Yes, the account will be cancelled. Even as much as I want to process your request, it's just that , we don't have that kind of option. Again, if you change your mobile number , you may lose it. The only option is to process a new order. And the new order ( with a brand new mobile number) also cannot be associated to services that xxxxxxxxxx has. Because we are in prepaid service and we cannot do a sim swap like that. Postpaid services have that option. So the website is a lie then? Because what you are trying to process is different from simply changing a mobile number, you want to keep 2 mobile numbers ( xxxxxxxxxx and the new mobile number) which is not an option. It is MY number. I transferred it to you. That DOES NOT make it yours. I am asking for a NEW number to simply be assigned to me and to take MY number back, which your website CLEARLY says is possible. Mint Mobile allows you to change your telephone number, but it must be requested either when activating a new line or by contacting their customer support. You can request a new number during the activation process by choosing the option to "Get a new number," which will assign one based on your ZIP code. For existing customers, you are allowed one number change within a six-month period by logging into your account and navigating to "Account Settings" or by contacting customer support. I truly apologize, we really need to process a new order to have that option. How much is that? And will I loose the entire YEAR I already pre-paid? This is such a BAD system for customers who pre-pay for UNKNOWN services. Since you will process a port out, you may lose the remaining balance on your existing plan. Let me connect you over to our Sales team to check the promotion for a new line. Never mind. You just lost a customer for life. I need an export of this chat history for my records. As you can clearly see, I am out a year's worth of mobile service, simply because I wanted to change my number. I am not happy with my overall Mint Mobile experience and have already moved on to another carrier. Do Not use Mint Mobile if you want to change your number.
I have been using Mont for years, in 2023 they had no coverage in Alaska, for 2 months I was without network and they refused any compensation. In 2025 their website shows coverage in Alaska, but there is still no coverage, the customer service denied they don’t cover Alaska even though their website map shows this. They are soon going to be under a lawsuit for false information and claims.
Mint is on it! There is enough communication without being pushy or obnoxious. I appreciate the 'real' pricing, rather than hyper inflated costs that I was paying previously. Keep up the good work, Mint!
Very slow internet
Affordable and convenient
Customer Service and it's depts.(account management, payments) are: 1) nearly impossible to understand 2) were either dishonest or inept about a SIM replacement assuring me that everything was good and I'd receive a new SIM-{I had to order twice} 3) have hung up on me on the phone, and inside a chat 4) do not "monitor" emails to support@mintmobile simply refer you to chat 4) seem to not care one iota for existing customers 5) according to Customer Service on the 4th phone call, there was no record of my purchase or time spent on the line with them and the various counterparts. 6) Give absolutely zero grace period even when they were at fault. Long story short- I made the colossal mistake of leaving my phone on a train and was never able to recover it, had to order a new phone compatible with Mint, and order a Replacement SIM which I did twice. By the time the SIM came, my "Plan" expired which was on the same day I received the new SIM which made the SIM invalid. So they sold me a new SIM without so much as an email letting me know about my plans expiration and refused to Activate my phone without paying the full amount $145. The conundrum is this: I am on Disability and receive my benefits usually 2-4 days before the 1st of every month and have never paid Mint before the 25th on any month yet that is when my plan expired?? Absolutely horrible Customer Service and I'd recommend ANY other Carrier over Mint Mobile, no matter how funny Ryan Reynolds thinks he is.
The only thing good I can say about Mint is the price is low. You get what you pay for. I've tried them for about a year now. I frequently get no internet on my phone. I often can't text photos. Too often I can't even send or receive phone calls. They claim to use T-Mobile's towers and point proudly to their map of our area. Someone is telling fibs.
I was referred by my sister, and she was right, Mint is amazing! Give it a try if you are looking for an affordable, high quality service!
Reliable carrier with good customer service.
Have a really good experience with Mint. Very reliable and not many drops or dead areas. Love the price. DO NOT RAISE IT RYAN! And the fact i can pay all at once and never have to worry is great!
I appreciate the customer service and pricing. 10 out of 10 recommend.
the support people spoke clear English. No I am not kidding. AND they were helpful. What more could I ask for?
Signal is so bad sometimes that even regular phone call does not go through. Internet speed is low too, even if I still have gigabytes of high speed data. In the downtown Gaithersburg I only have 2 bars
Poor connectivity with broken or unreliable use of apps or conversations from those needed with collègues to engagement with friends or family!
I’ll be honest, they’ve been a great company to me. I think their prices are beyond fair and you can’t really ask more for that. I will say that often times my service isn’t great, and it leads to certain things at times, but overall for the price you pay I think it’s extremely worth it
