I booked a car with pick up in Houston international airport IHA on the 11th January 2025. When I arrived at the airport I couldn't find America Car Rental and non of the other car rental companies had heard of them. I tried to call the number they had provided, but no one picked up. I then found another number on google which was for an office in Mexico. The guy told me to just wait and then he would call his colleagues in Houston. I waited for a while and didn't hear anything so I called the Houston number again. This time I got through and was told to go back to terminal c, where someone would meet us in 20 minutes. We hurried back to terminal c and waiting, but no-one came to meet us or called back. So I called once again. This time I was just told that the rental car had been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances and we would just have to get a refund. No further explanation was provided. This is the most ridiculous experience I've ever had. I ended up spending lot's of time and money calling them from my international phone number and never got a car!!

Nunca jamás rented en este lugar solo van a Perder su tiempo y dinero no respetan tus rentas. Jamás Us an practicas enganosas y no te regresan tu dinero, yo rente una ves un carro full y al llegar resulta que no tienen me dan uno chico y no me dan la differencia de el costo la última ves. Page meses por adelantado una renta en su página official y al llegar me querian cobrar mas de lo Que ya avianpagado que por que era para el seguro que por que mi renta la avia echo fuera de la página de ellos y que cuando es asi no incluye seguro cosa que es falso yo rente en la página de ellos como siempre lo e echo y les mostré el recivo y correo y de igual manera. No les importo querian ke pagara el doble mas que el doble y como no asepte se negaron a darme el dinero que avia pagado ya. Son un total fraude no renter aki jamas

Semplicemente perché mi sono stati addebitati tre pagamenti quando ne dovevo solo uno. Ho cercato in tutti i modi di poter risolvere la questione, prima direttamente con la sede dove avevo noleggiato l’auto (America Car Rental aeroporto di Monterrey Messico) poi tramite il customer service che ha riconosciuto l’errore riferendomi (tramite messaggio whatsapp) che mi avrebbero rimborsato ma ad oggi continuo a non ricevere nessun rimborso e anche i miei solleciti continuano a rimanere vani. Sinceramente non capisco questo comportamento mi sento preso in giro e a questo punto anche derubato!!

Es un fraude, son tramposos, te piden una cantidad grande de depósito 24000, no avisan claramente que no aceptan tarjetas en línea, y sobretodo que no devuelven el anticipo. Deposite 4700 y no lo quieren devolver

Car rental company said our booking was cancelled. We had a copy of the booking to hand to show the agent (printed off 2 days earlier) He refused to honour the booking and told me to contact the broker(EconomyBookings.com). They were unhelpful too.

Excellent service, and friendly staff. Shuttle service to the airport is a plus. The vehicle gave us no problems and was very comfortable. I recommend 100%

We rented a car in November 2024 with America Car rental and we are really happy with them. The communication previous to the rental was easy, the estimate has been honored, the car was almost new with no problems. Take and return the car was quick and we had no issues at all. Of course they offer you additional insurance as all the car rental companies do, but you just need to decline if you aren't interest. The deposit was paid back quickly.

This place is a scam. We made a reservation 3 months before the date of rental. We now find out they’re not honoring our reservation. If you want stress a stress free renal this is not it.

J'ai loué une voiture à Cancun. En réservant sur le site, on voit qu'il y a l'assurance collision et plein d'assurances comprises, et il n'y a pas de possibilité de réserver d'assurance supplémentaire, donc on pense qu'on est assuré pour tout. Le jour J ou j'ai été chercher la voiture j'ai demandé si j'etais bien couvert pour tout en cas d'accident, et là surprise on me dit que non. Si je veux etre totalement couvert (pour des griffes qu'on me ferait, pneus crevés, ... ) on me dit que non, que c'est 246 dollars US en plus (location pour 15 jours). Et la je leur montre ma réservation et dit qu'on ne sait rien choisir sur le site en plus de ce que j'ai choisi. On me repond que c'est normal, et que cela ne se fait qu'en agence sur place. J'ai ne trouve pas ca normal, surtout que sur le site on ne sait pas choisir cette option. Donc soyez vigilent, le prix que vous avez sur internet n'est pas le prix réel final si vous pensez etre totalement assuré. Mauvaise surprise de 246 dollars US pour moi

I had an absolutely horrible experience with America Car Rental. It has now been 7 months since I cancelled my reservation and I am still waiting for my refund. The company has repeatedly failed to process the refund, despite countless emails and assurances that it would be handled. Their customer service is incredibly unresponsive, and I’ve been left in the dark every time I reach out for an update. It's clear that they are either incompetent or intentionally scamming their customers. I have tried everything to resolve this, including providing all the required bank details and following their instructions, but I’m still no closer to getting my money back. If you're considering renting from this company, I strongly advise against it. The risk of losing your money and getting no support is just not worth it. I will be sharing my experience on every platform I can to warn others. Stay far away from this company!

Esto es una estafa te rentas el auto .lo entregas en condiciones como lo recibes ..llegas al aeropuerto Para entregarlo ..te dicen q tu rembolso quedará en menos de 24 horas y no es así se quedan con tu dinero. .tengo ya un año si solución . AMI problema no te contestan llamadas en el aeropuerto de Querétaro no te contestan correos wasp te dicen q está en proseso el rembolso y no más no estoy se llama estafa ..yo recivibel auto en la ciudad de Querétaro desgraciadamente y mala esperiencia rente ahí ..todos los trabajadores. Son disfrazados de amables para. Poder convenserte sin saber. Sin saber y sin buscar comentarios de esta arendadora .. actualmente es un año justo ayer...veo q hay más gente con los mismos problemas .yo vivo en los cabos.fuimos de vacaciones aya para mí no es nada fácil estar llendo adónde rente el auto 🚓

Rente una unidad con todos los seguros, desafortunadamente tuve un percance y pensé que eso arruinaría mi viaje, todo lo contrario, me asistieron en todo momento con información clara y presisa, al entregar la unidad no tuve inconvenientes ni cargos sorpresa, es mi cuarta renta AMERICA CAR RENTAL, y estoy muy satisfecha con el servicio, personal muy amable y autos en excelentes condiciones.

Do not rent from this company unless you like to be treated as the prey. I trusted this company and I paid for a rental for 4 days upfront online and when I got there they didn't have what I paid for(no vehicle like the one we agreed on full size) and tried to switch me to a way smaller vehicle in which my family and the luggage wouldn't fit, so I was forced to pick a more expensive unit which I was willing to do at the time but they came up with the big surprise of a $16,000 pesos deposit which I was not going to do at all since they are alredy making you pay for a high insurance which is supposed to be full coverage with no deductible so why would they charge so much for the deposit?.It is sad that we have to deal with this kind of situations while trying to have a good time visiting our loved ones in Monterrey. I asked them about canceling the reservation and they pretty much told me to "F"off and to call the help center and if I was lucky enough I might get some of it back which at this point I don,t think it will happen at all. Make sure you read the reviews about this company all over the website before you make a decision or simply never pay upfront beacuse you will not have a way out of the horrible service or get your money back. I went a few doors down to "MEX RENT A CAR" and it was a whole different experience very professional and clear about all insurance coverages and way lower prices. Got a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta like new with very low kilometers on it just like the one I wanted from the beginning for only $296 dollars for 4 days and including full coverage 0 deductible and tires wheels and windshied protection and all for the great deposit of $75 dollars only and not $850 like the other place. Do your research people this happens a lot with America car rental just learned about it so never again.
