Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
Only got 1 star because there isn't an option for zero. Out of desperation (time mainly) I took my car to the one in Tescos Harlow. I normally wash the cars myself. Due to the weather not had a chance to see what they'd done to the paintwork until I gave my car a careful clean today. This revealed thousands - I mean THOUSANDS - of scratches in the paintwork where the same washing mitt full of grit has been repeatedly dragged across the paintwork. Whichever of their "caring" operatives did this must have been able to feel the grit but did that stop him? "working together to make our customers smile" my aunt! Now had to book my car in with a professional detailer. Until then I'll park it a long way away from anyone else
I have been a regular customer for some time together with my sons a total of 4 car were regular customers at your site at Tesco’s London Rd, Stevenage SG2 8DT.
Since this new owner took over I have noticed the service as declined hence we won’t be using this site again. On my last visit I asked for both outside and inside cleaning, there was some dirt and grit in on the carpet and on the door sill, the operative hovered the carpet but left the grit on the door foot plate he they proceeded to wipe the grit of the paint work instead of hoovering it ! By wiping the grit it rubs the grit into the paint work thus leaving scratching on the paint work, fortunately it did not cause any damage just a few scratches which I can polish out.
Also the finish was not what I have come to expect from this site which under the last own was very good, the wheels were not wiped off until I complained and the general finish was not good.
I asked for the snow form wash which should be applied first, this is to dilute and softens any dirt on the vehicle and then should be rinsed off taking off all the dirt, it would seem none of your operatives are trained in the use of this method as every time its use is different! They start off by hitting the car with a high pressure hose thus forcing any dirt or grit (or gritting salt this time of year) into the paint!!! And because I complained the guy cleaning my car refused to finish it and walked away
Waves car wash at Tesco's Sidcup / Ruxley.
Very professional, excellent job. Worth paying the extra for a good job and a genuine business run properly & professionally. They also use professional materials like Auto Glym, worth that bit extra not to have you car damaged by inferior products used in other car washes.
Wow! I’m thoroughly impressed. From the personal service down to the attention to detail, this has to be the best car wash I’ve ever used. The last time my car looked this good was the day I bought it. Thank you.
Used the Waves car wash at Tesco Bar Hill today very disappointed a poor job and very over priced will not be using this car wash again there are many car washes much better and cheaper ☹️
My wife paid £45 for a platinum wash and clean. This is without doubt the poorest cleaning service I have ever seen. They missed half of the roof and the lower half of the near side of the vehicle. Windows were left filthy. I will never use this unprofessional service ever again

I’ve been using this car wash for quite a few years but unfortunately it seems to have changed hands and has gone downhill since. After my recent experience I will not be going back.
I left my car with the Waves team while I did some shopping. When I returned I noticed that the mat in the back drivers side was missing. I mentioned it to one of the team and he immediately got very defensive telling me that there had never been a mat in the back of the car. He did do a quick check to see if he could find the mat, which he couldn’t, I then suggested that if he couldn't find it he might like to give a discount on the wash. This was ignored.
At that point I needed to get home as I had frozen food in the boot so I told him to forget it and that I wouldn't be coming back. He had been rude and dismissive of me up to this point but then he got aggressive. I got into my car to leave at which point he started knocking on my window demanding that I came with him to watch the camera they had. I opened my door to talk to him and when I said, no thank you I need to get home, he tried to stop me closing the door. He then left and as I was reversing out of the space he started knocking on the window again which is not appropriate when the car is moving.
I have to say I felt quite threatened by this man by the time I left. His actions and way of speaking got progressively more aggressive thought the interaction.
I can say with absolute certainly that I will never use this place again and will warn others not too as well. I also emailed customer service to explain what happened and over 3 weeks later have had no response.
Absolutely brilliant and fantastic value for money. Used Clacton on Sea Tesco branch yesterday. Car was filthy when I took it to them - dogs, kids, outdoorsy lifestyle... you get the picture! Explained the lease was up and the car needed to be returned to the lease company.
Came to get the car around an hour or so later and it was absolutely gleaming and spotless! Absolutely cannot fault the service and value for money was brilliant. No hesitation in using them again. Thank you! 😊
