Avoid this utterly dreadful service! I was unable to recently receive calls and texts messages, and upon contacting Lyca customer services I was told my sim had been deactivated due to inactivity. To say I was shocked and concerned is a major understatement! I have had my sim and number for over 5 years, and it’s been crucial to maintain this number as it’s my main number for people to contact me on. Lyca have told me there’s no way to retrieve this number despite it being invalid and not assigned to anyone currently. Disgrace service who couldn’t care less about its customers. Edit: You have asked me for the 19 digit sim number, yet have provided no instruction on where to send this information. Given this is a public platform, such information cannot be shared here. On a related note, I have also spoken with Ofcom who have advised me that when a number is in quarantine, the network (Lyca in this case) can indeed retrieve the number. I therefore request that my number be recovered and activated.

Non-existent customer service. I like the network that Lyca uses and being so cheap I held oon to it and never had any issues. But for the past week I've been trying to get ahold of customer service because my phone got stolen adn I want the old number back but god forbid if they ever responded to any of my prompts for customer service. I've tried every possible method but I can't for the love of god ever get to them.

Was on an £8 a month pay as you go bundle, was charged £15 this month with no communication or explanation. Live chat keeps disconnecting after 5 times of getting through to an agent. Been on hold to customer service via phone number for 30 mins+ with no one answering. PAC code requested doesn't work with the new provider says I need a new valid code. Absolutely appalling customer service, over charging with no notice and a nightmare to get through to anyone to fix the overcharging or PAC code issue.

Don't bother, all the negative reviews are true. I purchased an e-sim bundle, and after having to return the new phone due to a fault, had to set up a new e-sim as already had been activated. This was more trouble than it was worth. I was told I had been issued a refund, 3 weeks later, no refund has arrived. After successfully setting up a new pay monthly bundle, I was surprised to find I had 'run out of credit'. It seemed like my account had been switched to a pay as you go plan without notification. The £5 had paid seemed to be deducted from the balance and I was left unable to make phone calls or send text messages for over 3 weeks. (Thank God for wi-fi). On the phone to customer service I was told my plan had been switched to a pay monthly plan and it would take upto 24 hours for the switch to register. No change occurred. After emailing exchange with customer service (I provided all proof), they seemed to ignore the fact I had already paid for a service I was not receiving and told me I would need to pay for a new bundle in order to get the service I had originally paid for. Despite my exacerbation I tried to call their customer service time again only to get passed from pillar to post and ended up circling back to where I began as no-one seemed capable of resolving my problem. I didn't even get to ask about my refund as I decided to cancel the network and switch back to SMARTY mobile. A much better service in my opinion. I will be putting a dispute through with my bank in order to et my money back and stop any potential further payment from occurring. Update: 4/5 I got a phone call the day after posting this, I asked if they could call me back on Friday as I was busy working. No call came. The bank has issued me a refund and I have another bank looking into the other. A company with this much bad reviews should not be operating. PERIOD.

Terrible, unusable, app. Random billing. Does not reply to support requests. Cheap, but not worth the pain. I have left Lyca. There are better alternatives. Please save yourself the suffering from dealing with this load of amateurs. Edit: Lyca has asked for some more details about my experience. I appear to have been billed for data after I left, and they threatened to report my non-payment to credit reference agencies. I paid just to get Lyca off my back. Having read other comments here, I am concerned that my account hasn't been closed. I tried ringing Lyca, but I couldn't find the right option to help with my problem, so I emailed them. The email bounced because their customer service email box was full! Please, Lyca, help me out. This whole experience is feeling more and more like a train wreck. Thank you in anticipation. Edit 2: I can see Lyca has replied while I was updating this review. I have already shared my email and telephone number via your email request here for further details, contact etc. Please get in contact with me because I do not want to post those details publicly.
