Super comfortable and great looking summer sandals
Easy order.
Hotter Shoes has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and quality, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Easy order.
My experience was made great by customer service because when I tried two credit cards they were rejected. Rang customer service and gave my order over the phone, no problem. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and polite.
I was delighted to buy a pair of Hotter ‘Flare’ sandals for the first time; they fit well and are much prettier than today’s clumpy styles. However, they have engraved rubber soles, which are dangerous when the wearer makes sudden turns on certain flooring, including carpets. I’ve alarmingly lost my balance twice on my vinyl kitchen floor as the sandals stick on the surface, and they are heavier to wear than other sandals with smooth composite soles. Although they fit well I became uncomfortably aware of my feet when spending the day wearing them recently. This drawback is such a shame as I’d have bought another pair in a different colour, but for me they are a waste of money.
I had a pair of hotter shoes brought as a present. They looked lovely but the first time I wore them the rubber soles fell apart. I emailed hotter and told them what had happened but they were not at all interested and I got palmed off . I have purchased a few pairs of there shoes in the past and been happy with them . I didn't want a refund just the shoes replaced but they would not do that so I won't be buying from them again not good customer service.

I didn’t realise until I read some reviews that Hotter had changed hands, but I could have told you without knowing! I have bought Hotter shoes for myself and my mother for many years and have noticed the quality is not as good recently. The most recent pair I bought for my mum in October, and the stitching on the shoe has split and is unravelling slowly after a few months. So I took them into store and had a really aggressive assistant who told me there was nothing they could do and was really rude and abrasive. A second assistant tried to help and gave me the phone number of customer services, as that’s now how you have to register faults and the store is apparently unable to do anything to resolve issues. I called, no reply. Sent an email, again no reply for over 72 hours. So I called again and finally spoke to someone who asked when I emailed and then told me he had forwarded my email to the relevant department and I would get a reply in 48 hours. So I’m now nearly a week on from trying to return the shoes to store and have just received and email inviting me to return the shoes for inspection (they are now out of stock so they won’t be able to replace them anyway) and if they’re “found to be faulty” then I will be contacted within 30 days to let me know. Hmmmm, I’m beginning to feel like I’m not getting the shoes back and I might be lucky if I ever get a refund! This is slightly ludicrous when someone could have looked at the shoes in the store and given me a refund for what is clearly a fault without everyone’s time being wasted. Hotter used to pride themselves on customer service (which genuinely was great and immediately resolved on the only other time I’ve ever had an issue) but it seems that like their manufacturing quality, their customer service is a poor imitation of what it used to be, which is such a shame. I’m not sure I will be returning as a customer again.

I honestly liked the fit but in terms of its quality, it is average.

I have been ordering Hotter Shoes for a long time. Always really pleased with the quality of their shoes & boots, but oh dear what has happened. I bought a pair of shoes recently in their sale and the quality is awful. The sizing and width was all wrong. They felt cheap & nasty and I have, therefore, had to return them. Their delivery service is still as good as it always was, but the shoes feel like they come from a bad budget shoe shop. Definitely not the quality I am used to. Won't be buying any more. What a shame!

I have bought shoes and boots from hotter for years and they have been warm, comfortable and have lasted. I recently bought new boots and shoes and what a what a disappointment they were, they are cold, hard and uncomfortable it leaves me reluctant to buy from them again

No doubt if you bought wide fittings shoes from Hotter Shoes a couple of years ago you would have been extremely pleased with your purchase. Be warned that since the take over by Woolovers the company is no longer a pleasure to deal with. If you order wide fitting shoes they will be very much smaller than your previous purchases and you will have no option but to return the shoes for a refund but please be aware that this will cost you a total of £7.45 for delivery and return. Worth noting their delivery charge is more than you would need to pay Royal Mail I would suggest that if you need to buy shoes on line then you look at other suppliers

Despite asking more than once and most recently in October, Hotter have still NOT removed my Mother's name from their mailing list. Once a regular customer she suffered a life changing injury 4 years ago, which means she can never wear shoes again (explanation given as to why she doesn't want a catalogue) So to be repeatedly receiving catalogues is upsetting for her but yet they keep on coming. 'James' stated that she may still receive one or two catalogues as they are arranged in advance but not after that. That was Oct. it's Feb. now and she has just received yet another catalogue. I'm furious.

I ordered Hotter slippers online as my popular local store (Fleetwood affinity) has been closed. I would class ourselves as good customers. I just need to look at the literal STACK of Hotter shoeboxes I have containing shoes bought in stores, however you've lost a customer. 1. You closed a popular local store. 2. I'm forced to now look online, but you use EVRI, the UKs worst courier service for (non)delivery (FACT). 3. It appears you charge for returns but NOT for exchanges. How is this fair? I don't want an exchange because it means I have to deal with Evri again. NO WAY. We avoid them at all cost. They fail to deliver almost ALL the time and when they do deliver, its not to the right address, or often they don't deliver at all. We've even had one of the drivers round here stealing deliveries at Xmas. 4. Regardless of the above, I ordered as I didn't realise the situation with the courier until after the event. Evri dumped the parcel at night, outside, at my address and left it with no attempt whatsoever to deliver to a person (all on camera). My slippers are too big as the design seems different since I last had this type, and I'm being charged to return the items as I don't want to deal with the dreadful courier again. Because of this and the other above reasons, I wont be buying from Hotter ever again - Not impressed. A good recipe on how to lose a loyal customer.

Tracey in your Dorchester store is so knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. She always advises me which styles will suit my feet best and warns me if I’ve chosen badly, without being at all pushy. I value her knowledge and guidance. If she orders online for me, delivery is always quick.
