My experience was made great by customer service because when I tried two credit cards they were rejected. Rang customer service and gave my order over the phone, no problem. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and polite.
I was delighted to buy a pair of Hotter ‘Flare’ sandals for the first time; they fit well and are much prettier than today’s clumpy styles. However, they have engraved rubber soles, which are dangerous when the wearer makes sudden turns on certain flooring, including carpets. I’ve alarmingly lost my balance twice on my vinyl kitchen floor as the sandals stick on the surface, and they are heavier to wear than other sandals with smooth composite soles. Although they fit well I became uncomfortably aware of my feet when spending the day wearing them recently. This drawback is such a shame as I’d have bought another pair in a different colour, but for me they are a waste of money.
I had a pair of hotter shoes brought as a present. They looked lovely but the first time I wore them the rubber soles fell apart. I emailed hotter and told them what had happened but they were not at all interested and I got palmed off . I have purchased a few pairs of there shoes in the past and been happy with them . I didn't want a refund just the shoes replaced but they would not do that so I won't be buying from them again not good customer service.

I returned a pair of boots described as wide fit however after wearing them around the house they turned out to be extremely painful as they were too narrow. Hotter refused to refund as they said they had been worn. THEY DEFINITELY HAD NOT. Shame on you Hotter! Why don’t you sell wide shoes that are actually wide. The customer service phone call was very uncomfortable as she was very argumentative. I won’t risk wide fit hotter unless I try them on in the shop. Online is purchase is high risk! Hotter please don’t send me your standard response “Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of the issue you have experienced with your Hotter boots. If a customer feels an item received is faulty, we ask the customer to contact us to enable us to resolve the issue immediately.” NO YOU DONT!

I have a lot of Hotter footwear, all of it comfortable. I recently ordered a pair which were a little on the small size, my fault as I needed half a size bigger. I returned them with no problem and ordered a replacement pair, correct size, different shoe colour. It took just 1 week for the return and the replacement to arrive. Great customer service, no fuss and no extra charges!

I bought a pair of lace up shoes on 11/1/25. Today, less than four weeks later, I took them back to the shop because one of the laces was damaged and will probably break shortly. The staff were smug and uninterested, claiming that laces are not an integral part of the shoes, which is as ridiculous as suggesting that tyres are not an integral part of a car. I have not been able to buy replacement laces which are the same colour, which means the shoes.will shortly become unwearable. I was really shocked by the poor service and dismissive attitude of the staff.

My husband and I visited Hotter Eastbourne today. We bought 2x shoes, 1x trainers and a pair of slippers. Scott was very helpful. I have orthopedic innersoles so tried on lots of pairs. I can always rely on Hotter to have footwear with removable innersoles so I can fit my own.

Recently bought second pair of Tone shoes this time in red. All great except you no longer sell polish for the shoe colours you sell - and no where here has polish that colour. So disappointing. No Hotter shops anywhere near me either. Will have to stick to black shoes - or shop elsewhere

Member of staff at the Hotter (at Dobbies Eskbank) where I got my walking boots was just wonderful - very helpful and extremely pleasant. The Hotter in Princes Street also has extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Thank you Hotter

What on earth has happened to Hotter shoes? I have several pairs, bought before they went into administration that are exceptionally comfortable and good quality. This is no longer the case, the fit has changed which affects the comfort and the quality has deteriorated significantly. They are now made in China I believe which may account for the increased postage and deteriorating quality. What a shame this has happened to Hotter shoes. Go back to your Lancashire roots.
