My experience was made great by customer service because when I tried two credit cards they were rejected. Rang customer service and gave my order over the phone, no problem. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and polite.

Soles are Unacceptable

 I was delighted to buy a pair of Hotter ‘Flare’ sandals for the first time; they fit well and are much prettier than today’s clumpy styles. However, they have engraved rubber soles, which are dangerous when the wearer makes sudden turns on certain flooring, including carpets. I’ve alarmingly lost my balance twice on my vinyl kitchen floor as the sandals stick on the surface, and they are heavier to wear than other sandals with smooth composite soles. Although they fit well I became uncomfortably aware of my feet when spending the day wearing them recently. This drawback is such a shame as I’d have bought another pair in a different colour, but for me they are a waste of money.

I had a pair of hotter shoes brought as a present. They looked lovely but the first time I wore them the rubber soles fell apart. I emailed hotter and told them what had happened but they were not at all interested and I got palmed off . I have purchased a few pairs of there shoes in the past and been happy with them . I didn't want a refund just the shoes replaced but they would not do that so I won't be buying from them again not good customer service.

Widnes Branch at Rivendell/Notcutts…

Widnes Branch at Rivendell/Notcutts Garden Centre. Although they haven't arrived yet, I didn't realise you could order in store from the sale online. The manager Nicki found my requested shoes, size and then she placed the order to collect in store. Even giving me an extra discount which I wouldn't have known was currently still an extra offer. Fast, friendly and efficient. 💯❤️ The shop always looks textbook tidy. A really great shopping experience. 😃😃

Unreasonable return costs - they are possibly breaking the law

I am disgusted that I was charged over £7 to return boots that had 2 faulty zips. I clearly stated the faults on the return slip. I have 3 other pairs of hotter shoes and boots bought over the last 3 years. They are lovely and had no faults and I really appreciate the choice of widths. BUT I won't be buying any more shoes or boots from Hotter. It is such bad practice and very poor customer service even to charge for returns and even worse to charge for the return of faulty items. I also think charging for the return of faulty items breaks the law . Under the Consumer Rights Act, if an item is faulty, you are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement, and the seller must cover the cost of returning the item returns. You cannot get out of this by claiming your returns charges are clearly stated on your website like you do in reply to other reviewers below

Faulty product and poor returns

I ordered some boots online. No issue with delivery which was relatively quick. Unfortunately one of the boots had a faulty zip so I returned them. Hotter have deducted the cost of postage which is unreasonable given they sent a faulty item and, approaching 10 days later, I am still waiting for my refund. The website says refunds can take up to 14 days but I am very unimpressed that this applies even with faulty goods. Will not be buying from this company again due to the quality and customer service issues.

Paying returns postage is poor customer service

I like Hotter shoes but I dislike companies that charge for goods bought online to be returned. This is particularly true of boots and shoes which need to be tried on. Return postage should be free

Where is my refund??

I ordered boots in the sale on 31 December 24. On 2nd January I received an email saying order could not be fulfilled till 20 Jan did I want to cancel. I cancelled in writing 6th Jan. 20 Jan still no refund. Contacted hotter they had forgotten to send refund. Apparently did send the next day and I am still waiting to receive it? Am really cross as hotter say once they have sent it (could take 5-10 days AGAIN) nothing more they can do! Eg dont contact not interested. Where is my refund Hotter?
