Eventful evening

We had our event on the 26th June in Harbour hotel Guildford. Our yearly summer BBQ. Had about 50 attendees outside the patio bit after our CPD talk. If I remember, it was Emily and Amy that served us through the whole night. Amazing young women who we are ever so grateful with every request for the night they tend to. The night couldn’t have gone any smoother without them. Such polite and great people/customer skills they have. Thank you ever so much!

Not a great welcome back from Harbour…

Not a great welcome back from Harbour Hotel Brighton. It is a big let down from the Harbour hotel to send a discount code to welcome back a customer who has stayed at the hotel previously and cannot use the code to book a night at the hotel with the discount code. Not only that there is no option when booking to apply a discount code. I will look for somewhere else to stay and i was booking direct with the hotel and booked direct last time. Lost a customer as a result.

Harbour Spa Southampton

Harbour Spa Southampton. Paid £125 for 1 hour all over body massage and was not impressed. Time of treatment moved forward which messed up other plans. Massage was done in 40 minutes. Cold room. No heated beds. Therapist had long nails which dug in. Claim to use Elemis products yet the ones out for use were not Elemis. Very painful massage and fronts of legs and décolletage completely missed. Never again.

Arranged a birthday celebration dinner…

Arranged a birthday celebration dinner several months in advance for 35 people with Sophie Caddock who was very helpful and friendly. The venue, food and waiting staff were excellent, everyone had a great time on what was a very special occasion! Many thanks Sophie and team!

I have stayed in Southampton and…

I have stayed in Southampton and Christchurch harbour hotels and can never find any fault in the rooms, cleanliness, staff and food. The facilities are always to the highest standards and service is always attentive. We will continue to stay and visit the Harbour Hotels group for stays, food and spa.

HARBOUR HOTELS UPPER DECK RESTAURANT, MUDEFORD, DORSET…

I visited the HARBOUR HOTELS UPPER DECK RESTAURANT, MUDEFORD, CHRISTCHURCH for my son's birthday lunch. The waiters were very pleasant and polite but the service left much to be desired. We had to wait an HOUR for our lunch, which I think is unacceptable. Half an hour would have been ok but the wait was far too long. Two of the party had to leave early to get a coach, and in the end I had to ask for their dinner to be brought out ahead as it hardly left time for them to eat. They had to eat quickly whilst we had to watch and they had to go just as the rest of us got our meals. (They were unable to see the birthday cake brought out later also). The prices are extortionate for small servings, so never again will I visit this over-rated restaurant. Rated in price because it overlooks Mudeford harbour, I guess!

Recently stayed at the Sidmouth hotel…

Recently stayed at the Sidmouth hotel with Friends , like a lot of hotels now they charge service for serving drinks at the bar, not satisfied with £10 for a G&T when you check out you find they have added a 12.5% service charge. Charge what you need to charge don't hide charges until checkout , if you need to take more at the bar maybe dont close it at 9:30 !

Exceptional corporate event venue

We held a large corporate event in January 2024 at the Guildford hotel. We have used a number of hotels in the past and this has been by far the best. Exceptional service from the banqueting team. Annabelle who was our coordinator for the day was outstanding. We will definitely be back.

Bristol: Felt Unwelcome. Dirty & Shoddy Room & Spa

We had booked the Bristol Harbour Hotel through a 3rd party agent and it was clear that the reception staff thought we were subpar because of this. They talked to us like we were children and they didn't look very happy. We were told we could use the spa but when we got into our dressing gowns and went there (through the bar might I add), the girl at the desk told us we couldn't go in until the next morning and we had to pay a tenner each due to not booking direct. So we paid. Next morning, went to the "spa". Tiny little pool, hydrotherapy features not working. Dirty. I had pre-booked a massage which was nice, so kudos to the masseuse she was great. The only other redeeming factor was the bed was comfy. My husband ordered a draft pint of Peroni and it didn't taste right so they poured another and that didn't taste right either. Won't be back!

Disgraceful service

Disgraceful service. I provisionally booked a dog friendly room for 2 nights. I drove 4 hours on arrival was told the price had increased by 40%, The reception staff were rude and duty manager worse. Due to other hotels being shut or booked I had to either be hijacked by their terms and rudeness or sleep in my car. I am sleeping in my car. The staff made me feel so uncomfortable..

Southampton Harbour Hotel

We stayed for one night before departing for our Norwegian/Northern Lights Cruise. The Staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and efficient. We had been travelling all day and decided to order room service, it hit the spot. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything worked perfectly. Couldn't fault the room, if we were staying for longer, I would have wanted a better view. Breakfast was excellent and the views were amazing. We received the service, you would expect from a five star hotel. We had lunch and cocktails the next day which we felt was good value. Have to mention Matthew, Concierge Desk, he brought all our luggage to our room and collected when we checked out. The hotel stored our luggage until later in the afternoon. Matthew, then drove us to the Cruise Terminal in the hotel shuttle vehicle. Excellent service received all round. We definitely will stay at this hotel again. If companies want repeat business, this is the standard they must aspire to for a five star hotel.
