Setting up tracker account online very easy. Tracking progress easy. Section for documents to view and download. Progress circle good idea. Communicating with advisor online via messages very good. Everyone has been very helpful and professional. Can’t fault it. I think completion was done within a few weeks.

I’m still in disbelief

I’m still in disbelief at how poorly this company has been dealing with our remortgage. Poor communication about requirements, delays in communication and lack of overall guidance from Enact has compounded the impact of having not one but two lots of lost documentation. My first mortgage deed suspiciously did not arrive in the same envelope with the other documentation, despite being one of 3 documents returned as a set. What made this even more odd was that the second mortgage deed was a two sided document and the first was not. My best guess here is that losing the first one was to cover off a mistake in the initial pack which resulted in a useless mortgage deed being sent and signed. The second huge blunder this week was my identification being lost. Again, one envelope with all of our documents as requested. 2 out of 7 documents sent accounted for in the post room and crucially both our driving licenses lost. These arrived Tuesday by Special Delivery tracked through Royal Mail. It wasn’t until yesterday we were notified that the documents hadn’t been received and there is absolutely zero accountability for any of it from Enact. So frustrated at having more expense due to delays in remortgage and the added pain of replacing our ID.

Shocking lack of regard

To start with, we did not choose Enact. Our perspective lender, Godiva, instructed them to arranged a remortgage application for us months ago. While we trusted that they were professional enough, disappointingly they failed to meet the one significative deadline we had to meet. They were aware that our mortgage rate ended the 2nd of October. To avoid any possible delay we contacted them a few days before and the same day all well. However, the remortgage is still not set to complete, Godiva hasn't received the requesto to porceed from Enact and we have no indication of any estimated completion date. Today they said that they still needed a document from us when they already had it in thier possession since the 11th of July! And they didn’t even bothered to let us know they they thought it was missing! I quote another riview in finding shocking how careless they seem about peoples lives and finances depending on their work, when it is their job to make this simple and smooth. We still don’t know much we are going to have to pay to our old lender now that we have automatically gone onto thier follow on rate. Nor how long it will take to rectify this and hopefully receive compensation for the further costs we are incurring into. Surely no sneaky legal contractual clause can releases a firm from their ethical and professional obligations towards their clients.

Very very slow and frustrating!!!!

This company is acting in the chain and is causing no end of delays. Admittedly the chain is long with 7 participants, but everybody is on tenterhooks waiting for this lot to get their act together! We have been trying to exchange contracts EVERY day for the past week, but it fails day after day because of them. We have finally heard they are reviewing the file again, what does that mean, get a move on ENACT, supposed completion date that all can make is fast approaching!!!!!!!

Instructed 5 months ago for remortgage, still not complete

My mortgage rate ends the 2nd of October (today!), and I was very aware of the slow pace of solicitors so arranged a remortgage application back in late May to avoid any delay. However, the remortgage is still not set to complete, and have no indication of any estimated completion date. Enact were provided free by Natwest, so had no choice in the matter about using them. I have constantly chased for updates, asked them multiple times a week requesting any and all documentation that I can complete to make the process smoother. They normally reply with documentation to complete, and I reiterate the question if this is all the documentation that is needed in which they assure me that's all thats needed. However, a week passes, I contact them again, and they say that more documentation needs to be filled in. This has been the case for about 4-5 instances now. If I weren't to be contacting Enact regularly, I doubt that any progress would have been made on this remortgage and no documentation would have been sent to me to fill in. Shocking, as it seems that they are unbothered about peoples lives and finances depend on this, when it is their job to make this simple and smooth. I am going to have to go onto the follow on rate of 8.25% (an extra £400 a month) with my current lender despite instructing them 5 months prior, and doubt I will receive any compensation of this.
