The best day of my life that I…

The best day of my life that I discovered Church's shoes. Last year went to the London shop at Jermyn street. They provided great service to deliver the shoes at my hotel. The shoes have a perfect fit from the moment I put them on. Went on that day visiting two museums and never took the shoes off. Yes expensive but worth all the money because they are ready to wear because of the fine leather. This year I am ordering again a pair of Oxfords (Consul). Size 8.5 last G. Can't wait untill they arrive through the Brussels store. Church's thanks you ever so much. Mr. Bout - Netherlands

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for personal service I had the pleasure of being helped by Idjana at Church’s on Jermyn Street, London, and I can’t speak highly enough of her. What began as a frustrating experience with the main customer service interaction quickly turned into one of the best examples of customer service I’ve ever encountered—thanks entirely to her. Idjana went above and beyond to not only attempt to resolve the issue I was facing but did so with genuine care, professionalism, and attention to detail. It’s rare to come across someone so committed to making sure a customer leaves happy, and that’s exactly what she did. Her empathy, product knowledge, and proactive approach transformed my day. This kind of service is what builds lasting customer loyalty, and Idjana is a true credit to the Church’s brand. Thank you!

DiSAPPOINTING UNHELPFUL SERVICE

Relatively brand new pair Church Grafton , lace broke , opened a new spare and lace snapped when tightening shoe . Complained to Church’s Whatapp with pictures and an anonymous respondeehas put me through the hoops with records and numerous angle pictures of a broken lace on a 1k pair of shoes . Ridiculous attitude and nothing compared to the historical high service that Church’s offered pre their sale. Couldn’t bring myself to buy again and they seriously should invest in proper customer relations staff , not acceptable .

PRADA has scattered the brand

PRADA has scattered the brand. Rubber soles with fake seams. -Church was a brand that stood for quality. I pay for quality not for the brand. So now I have to look further for the real thing.

POOR QUALITY BOOTS

My husband bought me some Estella polished chelsea boots for Christmas 3 years ago which was followed by lockdown so I didn’t really wear them. This winter I’ve got them out but to my horror the heel fell off! I contacted Church immediately and sent them all the photos showing very little use as they have been kept in their dust bags and not really come out and they sent me an email back to say I will have to pay £100 plus shipping to have it put back on but they recommended I have them fully serviced and the soles & heels replaced at the cost of £290!!! All my photos show clearly they are in mint condition but yet they want me to pay to have a full refurbishment! I have emailed Deschanel (point of contact) again but he says there is nothing he can do… BEWARE buying these “good quality” shoes as the heel falls off after wearing them approximately 15 times! Really poor customer service unfortunately so I will NEVER buy another pair 👎🏻

Disgusting company making poor quality…

Disgusting company making poor quality fashion shoes for those totally ignorant of Crocket and Jones, Cheaney, Edward Green GG et al. More expensive than Mr Meccariello (“the artist”) in Naples which is just obscene. You deserve your hugely overpriced garbage if stupid enough to buy from them.

Prices a joke

Price hikes since COVID are a joke. Crockett & Jones are the best option now.

Very dissappointing

Very dissappointing! Super expensive but quality is maximum of Zara Level. Bought some Derbys and wore them a few times, now the leather is already peeling off. Customer support's answer "consequence of normal use" Will never buy anything from this brand again.

Way below my hopes on customer service.

A tale of two shoemakers - Church’s and Barkers. I own 2 good pairs of shoes, a 6 year old pair of Barkers boots and a 20 plus year old pair of Church’s Oxfords. The latter are not much worn as they are a little tight. A speed hook on the Barkers broke, and in a rare burst of productivity I decided to sort out both pairs. I wrote to Barkers seeking advice on getting a replacement or paying for refurbishment. I wrote to Church’s asking if they do a stretching service. Barkers: ‘hi, just send them in. We’ll fix them and send them back’. And they did, for no charge. Church’s: ‘thank you, please send photos and details’. Which I did. Silence. So I re-sent. Silence. I sent a reminder. Silence. I never did hear from them. Anyway, no real moral to this story, other than the obvious. Barkers was friendly, personable, and delivered above expectations. Church’s were professional to start, and then came in below expectation. Waaay below.

New Shannon shoes only worn around half…

New Shannon shoes only worn around half a dozen times and laces snapped. As I don’t live near a Church shoe stockist I contacted Church shoes direct to get a replacement laces and I sent an email with photos etc showing the shoes and broken lace ,where I purchased the shoes and date and received an email back asking for the following information requirements ; Proof of purchase. If not available, please specify place and date of purchase. - Full digital images of the item (upper view, lower view, inside view, front view and rear view, plus specific details of any possible damage). - Digital images of the shoebox label. - Your current location. - Your telephone number. All for a pair of shoe laces to be replaced for shoes that cost almost a £1000, I personally think this company stinks it’s not a patch on the old Church company an insult to British industry,oh I forgot it’s not British any longer 🤔

Church’s not interested in repairing shoes

Over the years I have had countless pairs of Church’s shoes repaired by Church’s. The service was always excellent. But now Church’s have adopted policies and procedures that are cynically calculated to put off customers from using the service. For example, a requirement to return shoes to the store where they were purchased, payment in full in advance (£290!) and a refusal to undertake works where there is evidence of wear and tear! Really? Not the great British institution it was once

Disgrace! Never returned my shoes from repair

Bought a lovely pair of Chelsea Boots a year or so ago. As the soles became worn I took the opportunity of Church's repair service. I shouldn't have. I never saw the shoes again. A €290 "service" for a now €980 boots. Church's reimbursed the original price of the shoes, which leaves me €140 short of a new pair of shoes. Disgrace!

No repairs, no service, no future

It would appear that Church's have changed their Terms and conditions and have returned to an age that does not support online or mail order activity. Having contacted Church's to request confirmation if they could repair my boots, bought in 2019 from Selfridges in London. I have been advised that they only support engagement, through the shop the boots were purchased and that they will not repair items bought from other locations, including those bought online. As the nearest shop was over 200 miles away, their response was to simple send me the link, again for their store locations. One of the reason I bought the boots is to enjoy the repair service and extend the life of what was a good product. Utterly appalling service and an indication that Church's neither value their customers, their reputation or their future. I will now have to source alternative boots from a reputable retailer.
