Not impressed, ridiculous charges for everything

First time cruiser and made an error when I booked not realising that the cabin i chose had a connecting door. Rang straight away to change cabin and was told it was a £50 per person charge. Fortunately managed to do it on line for free. Then requested 3 days after booking to transfer the reservation to a travel agent for better price and management. Was told this was only available within 2 days of booking and I was on day 3. Forums and website say 30 days !! They reluctantly agreed to transfer to an agent but as a first time cruiser the whole experience has put me off Celebrity who appear to be nothing but money grabbers. So disappointed in them.

Just got off Ascent…. WOW

Just got off Ascent - I want to go immediately back on board This was my 9th ever cruise but my second cruise with celebrity. In an avid P&O cruiser but last year tried apex for the first time for a 4 day Cruise and booked ascent around Greece, Turkey and Malta. What an absolute incredible week, I want to go back on board immediately. The staff are just suburb, everyone is so friendly and the health protocols I.e washing signs before the Buffett are taken very seriously!! The ship itself is gorgeous - I am an interior designer so I was in awe of the design, they have done a fantastic job!! Counting down the weeks until I’m on Apex for 2 weeks Which I am super excited for! Once again celebrity is the best cruise line, hands down this has been my favourite cruise EVER, get me back on board now

Don’t book a guaranteed veranda

Booked a guaranteed stateroom with a veranda. The one we were referred to was an infinity. We were allocated an obstructed view veranda with a porthole. To say we are fuming is an understatement! Clearly while they are auctioning off upgrades - they auctioned off our veranda cabin. Misleading customers.

Celebrity X Millennium.

Celebrity X Millennium. We cruised with this cruise ship called Celebrity X Millennium in July 2025 around Japan this was the worst cruise ship we have ever cruised on it’s ready for the knackers yard it’s that old and worn, the food onboard was the worse quality of food we have ever tasted on a cruise ship no taste just very cheap quality, the entertainment was so poor absolutely rubbish, we was also ripped off by Celebrity X Cruises by selling us a Veranda Stateroom that turned out to be a partial view Veranda Stateroom with no apologies or any compensation absolutely disgusting service we have received from Celebrity X Cruises we would never ever cruise with Celebrity X Cruises again or ever recommend them so we would recommend not cruising with Celebrity X Cruise or cruise on the ship called Celebrity X Millennium. Our Veranda Stateroom was 7023 on deck 7 don’t book this Veranda Stateroom unless you don’t mind a partial view with a massive steel column within the Veranda view but you will be charged as if the stateroom was a standard Veranda Stateroom with full clear scenic views mid-sold a standard Veranda Stateroom for a partial view stateroom and we have had absolutely disgusting customer service from Celebrity X Cruises.

Everything Sounds Great With Celebrity.....UNTIL

Everything sounds great with Celebrity until you have any problems or issues. Their Customer Service people are the worst people I have ever spoken with and unfortunately it is their way or the highway. No customer skills, no empathy and no desire to help or resolve an issue. And their supervisors have no bosses...how do you like that!!! Customer Service both prior to sailing and returning is as important as the cruise experience itself. Completely disappointed and turned off with the people that I have spoken with at Celebrity. We are traveling with a group next week and they could care less! I have also sent a cvouple of emails to senior executives at Celebrity and their parent company Royal Caribbean Group. Will advise in a later post if they ever responded, although they probably will not!

Disappointing Service

I tried to order flowers for my friend’s cabin to celebrate her 70th birthday. Celebrity couldn’t arrange it because the cruise is within 5 days of departure and they could not tell me whether I could get them delivered to the ship from a Southampton florist. Very disappointing.

I had an appoinment at the SPA just for…

I had an appoinment at the SPA just for a wash and blow dry, which would cost a staggering $69, but from the start of the eperience the male hairdresser tried to sell me products costint over 100/250 dollars, which as a pensioner I neither wanted or needed, however he persisted, wearing me down every 5 minutes, eventually saying I could get my hair done for free, except for 18% , this was for Kerastase K water, so just get out of the place I agreed as some of the expense may be swallowed up with a small amount of on board credit, however I was horrified to realise that the whole thing had cost me $164!! This was for something I didn't want or need, also would be heavy in my suitcase! To make matters worse, when I have read the back of the bottle it clearly states in capital letters "FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY, NOT FOR RESALE" what a complete scam, and I am going to take this further and get advise as I want my money back, shame on you celebrity, will certainly NOT be traveling with you again , and you need rid of these con artists in your spa!!!

customer service is so so so bad

customer service is so so so bad. booked for a party of 12, spent over £30k, i cant even get in touch with them, they put me on hold and cut off, the call center's are so horrible to deal with, honestly made me cry. all i wanted was to be put through to the person i made the booking with, as our flight times drastically changed, affecting our plans, they would not connect me through. i have paid £1900 deposit this far and after all this will call tomorrow to see if i can cancel and claim it back, if this is how bad the service is before travel!

A 4.5 Star Ship But a 5+ Star Experience

I can't understand all the negative reviews. We are sophisticated travelers and always stay at the best hotels worldwide and eat in the best restaurants....We took a 7 day Fjords cruise ex Rotterdam and it was almost perfect.(total perfection would have been a better "Raw on 5" specialty restaurant which was disgraceful) The food in general and food choices, the cabin (Infinity Balcony Concierge Class), The service ( more than 5 stars), etc...all contributed to our review. We didn't take any excursions as we prefer to explore on our own, and certainly NO drinks package as we did the math! The WiFi was excellent. Their superb service extended all the way to getting us to Amsterdam airport. It's a beautiful ship, easy to get around in, and most highly recommended. We will rebook!

We had to cancel our trips

We had to cancel our cruise with celebrity cruises due to an unforeseen family emergency situation where we had no choice but to cancel our holiday. We booked through a holiday agency it was 5 months before the sailing date!. We had pre booked trips for the cruise to Celebrity costing over £500. When we asked for a refund they withheld our money saying it was their policy for cancellation! NEVER prebook trips with this company they will keep your money if you cancel!

Used to be great NOW DREADFUL …

I chose Celebrity because I cruised with them during 2013 - 2016 and was always impressed. NOT NOW!!!!! Food is poor, main restaurant menu 80% fixed for all the cruise. Tuscan grill really appalling - I hardly ate a thing. Staff used to be amazing. Profile now changed and some are even darn right rude!!!! Never again!!!!!

As others have said it’s not premium…

As others have said it’s not premium cruising anymore. The main dining room menu has been dumbed down, with every premium menu item having an extra charge. Most days it was 4 chicken main and 2 pasta selections. The staff tried to help but the menu is dictated by head office. the poor standard became the talk of the ship. It was a school holiday cruise, but the kids run riot and staff did nothing when asked to stop them. Main lift tag was their favourite games, so you had to wait ages for a lift and it arrived full of kids. The teenager’s took over the hideout every afternoon and evening and were intimidating to any guest wanting to use this area, again staff failed to do anything when asked.
