I am having great difficulty trying to cancel auto-renewal of a Premium VPN subscription with Bitdefender.
Bitdefender want to renew at 100% rate when online they are advertising a 50% discount!!!
Their "Contact Us" link constantly times out.
What to do?
Had them for 5 years. The best protection, I have never had any PC issue and im online all the time. BUTTT last year, a staff use my debit card to purchase $400 of sport betting. Thank GOD my bank USAA blocked them for suspicious activity
I wont be using them anymore since they are now $80 a year and the staff are thieves and NORTON 360 has a promotion for 15usd a year... yeah no brainer
J'avais un abonnement Bitdefender avec un antivirus qui devait se renouveler le 28 septembre 2024.
J'ai refusé le renouvellement le 27 septembre 2024, mais ils ont débité le 27 septembre.
Ils me disent qu'ils vont me rembourse, MAIS QUAND ?
Est-ce que c'est normal de débiter un compte sans mon autorisation, alors que j'ai refusé le renouvellement et que vous avez débité 1 jour avant la fin du contrat.
I have used Bitdefender for years and have been well pleased with the ease of use and effectiveness of the service. Recently, I had a need to contact customer service. I am a person very dis-satisfied with the trends of customer service these days. Bitdefender surprised me. I actually reached someone on the phone within minutes, communication was easy, and although the rep could not give me a complete solution, he gave me a promise the tech team would reach out. Promise kept! I received a thorough and complete response via email in a day. My problem is resolved and task accomplished in a reasonable time. Anyone who expects great customer service as part of their purchase won't be disappointed with Bitdefender.
They were Prompt and professional, and solved my tricky problem with ease and humility. By far the best out there. I have tried all the big name Suites, Bitdefender out ranks and beats them by a Country Mile.
Seit Monaten hängt sich Bitdefender beim automatischen Update auf und das System ist dann (unbemerkt) ohne Virenschutz! Anfragen beim Support werden zwar rasch beantwortet aber es ändert sich nichts. In den Foren finden sich diverse Kommentare dazu und alleine in unserer Familie sind zwei Geräte von diesem Bug betroffen. Eine einfache Hilfe wie ein Direktdownload der neuesten Version (wo das Problem behoben sein soll), wird trotz Nachfrage nicht angeboten. Schwach - nach Ablauf der Abo-Zeit wird es eine andere Suite sein!
I purchased the Bitdefender Total Security Plan, for 3 devices (Android included). The app would not upload on my phone. Called Customer Support (long wait) they told me I purchased Bitdefender Internet Security which did not include Android. Their website does not have a Internet Security plan. 4 Plans: Ultimate Security, Premium Security, Total Security and Antivirus Plan.
I received an e-mail about my auto renew coming up, so I chatted with a chat agent who assured me that the auto renew would be cancelled. Low and behold, at the end of the month, I received a receipt saying I was billed for my auto renew. I tried to chat with 4 different chat agents and even called, and they all stated someone would be reaching out to me and nobody ever did. I even checked my spam folder. They ask for so many complex pieces of information in order to cancel the auto renew. I was even given step by step instructions on how to cancel, and followed each of them to a T and none of them allowed me to cancel my subscription. BE WARE! Never again!

Obviously my review was not read. By the end of the experience I had reached out to you all 10 times to get this cancelled. And I did try to cancel before the auto renew, as is stated by your response, and spoke with one of your agents and again nothing was done.
Extremely poor we design. Poor customer service. Renewal and cancellation process is sharp practice. Be aware that this is a subscription service and they'll automatically renew 14!! Days before the renewal date. They make it really complex to cancel
Toen ik het abonnement wilde verlengen, lukte het niet, ook de installatie niet. Ik nam contact met de help desk van Bitdefender via de live chat en werd meteen geholpen. Nu staat mijn nieuwe Bitdefender abonnement geïnstalleerd En mij werd uitgelegd dat het niet lukte omdat het 2 verschillende abonnementen zijn , daarom lukte de installatie niet, ik moest eerst de huidige versie verwijderen en de nieuwe installeren. Afgelopen jaar was dit niet nodig geweest want de vorige versie was ook voor 3 apparaten, deze keer was het voor 5 apparaten ( voor 3 bestaat niet meer trouwens) Ik ga er van uit dat eind 2025 de verlenging soepel verloopt . En zo nee weet ik wat ik moet doen ;-)
PS: ordernummer niet ingevuld want de licentie gekocht in Nederland voor een aantrekkelijker prijs dan op de site van Bitdefender ....
