I want to heavily recommend using Audley Travel. My step-father and I used their service for a trip to New Zealand and neither of us could commend this company enough. We were connected with a great women, Keila, who was so incredibly insightful and helpful in our planning. It was extremely comforting knowing that our trip was in the hands of someone so bright. Everything worked out perfectly for us. The trip ended up being my favorite trip of my life because of her help. My step-dad texted me a couple of days ago about the trip and he was so grateful. He was still in awe a week after we returned home. Anyways, I loved the trip that Audley gave us and all of the insights that helped us along the way.
We contacted Zac last year to enquire about a trip to Canada . We had teams/zoom discussions to share ideas about what we would like to do . Zac listened to us and got it spot on! Zac created our itinerary, which included a detailed step by step guide to where to be when … absolutely brilliant , thank you Zac, everything was just perfect !
We have just booked our dream holiday to visit Alaska, take the Rocky Mountaineer train and do a cruise. Leo has been amazing as a travel advisor and has expert knowledge in this field to guide us and has taken lots of time to tailor our trip to ensure we have the best experience. The itinerary looks incredible ... I felt he genuinely cares in making sure he helps to create our trip of a lifetime! We can't wait to go next year and would highly recommend Audley Travel and Leo for the Canada region.
This is our second time using Audley to help us navigate a wonderful vacation. Last year we enjoyed Canada, this year we tipped our toes into Europe, and headed to Ireland! Lydia was exceptional! We have two older girls and are an active family who loves to enjoy the outside and dine! She helped us balance both of those requests seamlessly. We kayaked by castles, walked the Cliffs of Moher, walked to waterfalls, biked through Dublin, and never stopped smiling at the beauty around us! Once we were ready to relax we had reservations for dinner and each place was unique and delicious! Thank you Lydia for helping to make our dream holiday a reality!
Having tried to organise the holiday myself and got in a bit of a mess, I decided to ask Suzi Smith of Audley Travel to help. I am so pleased I did. She found me six flights that were far less expensive than I could find and hotels that were so amazing together with efficient and luxurious transfers. My holiday destinations included Bangkok Sydney Hong Kong and Singapore. She also gave us a travel pack which offered great advice for each of our locations. I will definitely be using Audley Travel again and would strongly recommend them to anyone who is wanting to organise a special holiday
I am so happy we booked our honeymoon with Audley! They took all of our requests for what we wanted out of the experience and our budget and created the most perfect magical experience! Every detail was thought out perfectly. We felt safe and well cared for in every transition and with all of our transfers and resorts. The places we stayed were truly beyond what we expected in terms of service, location, food, cleanliness, etc. I would highly recommend Audley for booking a trip to Southeast Asia!
Plus point they told me they could not organise trip I wanted in under 24 hours. negative - website says Tailor made holidays Thats what I wanted but they could not tailor one to my requirements Website also says Best Holidays to Oman. but they do not cover Masirah island which is largest island in Oman they could not do it but I can do it all on the web! OK initially I gave them 2 starts because of what I have written above however they have now come back to me with more information on what I requested which is very good of them so because of this thoughfulness I will upgrade this review to 4 stars as they have the decency to come back to me (yes simple with computer systems) but still requires thought and effort
Audley travel did not meet their stated objective.
The Audley travel website claims vacations are 100% tailor made. Their statement is “Your entire vacation is designed around your requirements.”
Sadly, this was not my experience.
About the only thing that matched my requirements was the country, which was Costa Rica.
I requested expat communities where I might escape snow and ice, on a yearly basis.I also requested very nice hotels with views. ( I believe the hotels are an important part of the vacation)
I was told I would be staying in 5 star hotels. This was not true. One hotel had 3 stars and was quite nice. It was downhill from there. One was so dark, cold and with such an unfriendly staff I felt claustrophobic and frightened. I had to leave. I had one nice hotel, two adequate and three unacceptable.
I now know there are many communities where I would have been comfortable and my requests meant.
In the future I will talk with people who know the country.
I paid top dollar for poor accommodations.
I am an 80 year old female who asked for help to pick a wonderful place/vacation. My age seemed to be a factor as I did not understand what questions to ask or where to get real information. I trusted Audley was a good company. Not so
Eloise helped us organise an amazing fairly last minute trip to Cape Town, Cederberg mountain and Franschhoek. The trip was absolutely amazing and we really felt extremely well cared for. The hotels were all amazing. Absolutely cannot wait to plan our next trip with Audley.
Audley (Haley and Lorne) did a great job coordinating complicated itineraries for 5 families travelling to New Zealand and Australia, balancing different interests, priorities and budgets. Everyone was extremely pleased with their service and some have gone on to use them again for other trips.
Earlier in 2023, I spent a small fortune on a safari to Kenya. The agent was helpful and the trip was wonderful bar a few hiccups, including our accommodation at Karen Blixen camp being double booked (where the manager, who said the agent was told they were double booked, upon arrival attempted to put us in staff accommodation near a sewer) and an indirect flight from Mara to Meru leaving us all sick.
It was however, extremely expensive but as it was my first safari, was prepared to pay what was asked. I was given a small refund for the inconvenience of the accommodation experience.
Anyway, a few months later I contacted Audley again to arrange a birthday trip to Japan. It took several attempts before anyone called me back. A lady did call eventually. Her rudeness was staggering and she basically ‘told’ me that I would not get a booking to make the cherry blossom season and every question I had she replied with a negative. I told her I found her abrasive and hostile and that was that.
I then held back on posting a review, later contacting the original agent with a potential trip to Tanzania. He sent a perfunctory email and did not have the courtesy to even call me. I’m sure he received a very healthy commission from the earlier Kenya trip, and he would then call back very promptly.
Quite frankly, I am staggered at the rudeness and arrogance of this company. They are quite happy to take tens of thousands of pounds from customers, only to treat former customer with secondary importance. Maybe the staff should focus less on their double barrelled names and work on their manners.
I will not be using them again and am disgusted by their attitude. There are many reputable agents out there. Don’t waste your time.
So far so good! I have been delighted with the service provided initially by Chris and then by Andrew in arranging our Madagascar holiday for next year.
Initially I was thinking that Madagascar didn’t meet our requirements, but Chris was very helpful and arranged a callback from Andrew. He listened to our requirements and came up with an itinerary that was spot on for our 40th wedding anniversary trip.
As long as the Audley service continues to this standard I am sure we will be regular customers.
This was a special trip for me. Safari was a dream. Travelling solo I was tentative about where to go to experience a real safari. I decided to contact Audley because everything sounded perfect. From the moment I spoke to their specialist Scott Davenport I knew this was the one. Scott's care and attention to detail from start to beyond the end of this trip has been first class. And the entire adventure was so, so special. Beyond my expectations. Magical just about sums up this wonderful trip which I cannot recommend highly enough.
We first booked this holiday to Kenya pre Covid but had to cancel. But returned to Audley Travel after Covid because of the level of work they had done previously. The customer service we received from the beginning until the very end was exceptional. There representative Theresa Arachi listened to our requirements and came up with just what we wanted and answered all of our questions and queries fully and if did not know the answer came back to us within a few days. A knowledgeable and friendly representative who gave us great service both before and after our holiday. Thank you Theresa and Audley Travel
