Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.

Dreadful service

Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Robbing from single parents

So I previously moved into a council flat ! From a private rental in November ! I paid Severn Trent £24 pounds a month for me and my 8 year old for clean and waste water. The reason why I moved was due to mould and my son suffering breathing problems steroid inhalers etc when we moved out of the property we were given £45 pounds because we paid to much! Since been moved as a single parent and can not afford to live ! Anglian water are charging me and have sent threatening bills since moving in , in November £669.01 😂 for waste water ! My clean water with the amazing Severn water is £11 pounds a month so Anglian water are a disgrace and I will not be paying my bill they are bullies and unfortunately I can not upload my bill! Turned up on time, polite.

We have a dying water meter. AW's representative turned up on the agreed date at the agree time. Very polite. They will fit a new meter in the next few weeks. I would have given five starts but I did have to chase them for an appointment.

Own up to your mistake and put this right

For many years, I have contacted Anglian Water because my bill has been extremely high for two adults, one of whom is elderly. They claim we are using 322 liters of water per day, which seems impossible. We had a new water meter fitted in 2020/2021, which they refer to as a smart meter because it sends readings back to them. At the end of January 2025, a technician came to check the meter and suggested that we might have been paying someone else’s bill, as the plastic box under the lid had a different number from what’s on our account. Since he corrected this issue, I can see on their app that we have hours with no water being used overnight and on most days. However, Anglian Water still insists that the amount is correct, which I find hard to believe. Given that there are only two people in the household, including an 84-year-old frail man, this situation is causing him significant stress and upset. Despite being informed that similar problems are occurring all over Colchester, Anglian Water refuses to acknowledge their mistake. Come on Anglian Water please take responsibility for your error and resolve this issue?

I moved to hartlepool from…

I moved to hartlepool from Middlesbrough and love hartlepool. I just got my 1st water bill in tho and I'm fuming. It's twice the price of Middlesbrough. I broke down my bill and discovered that I pay anglian water a fixed charge of £210 a year,then I have to pay northumbrian water £141 for taking away waste water then I have to also pay £180 fixed charge to northumbrian water. £530 a year for 2 people. It's £280 anywhere else. We get no say in our water supplier but basically because this water supplier can't cover our needs and need northumbrian water to do some of it for them everyone in this town has to pay massive charges to both companies. This means on a normal tariff your charged £390 fixed charges before you begin. It's not right

Appalling situation

Appalling situation. I register a blocked drain with them one week ago, I have waste water flooding in the garden and cannot enter or exit my home without walking through it, neither can my children. It smells of sewage and is disgusting. On top of this i run a business from here and cannot see clients. I was assured that someone would be here within a week and most likely much quicker. One week passes today and i have just been informed that an engineer will be here on or before Tuesday. This is shocking service and deceit. Life everyone else i pay my water bill expect a reasonable response when to be a pretty big problem happens and it takes 11 days to get an enjineer with raw sewage across our access. Not even a call to explain why they cannot get here before.
