Constant problems with no water can't replace the pipes but can pay their shareholders
Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.
Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Lost all water supply yesterday. Reported to Anglia Water and they were aware of fault as customers had been calling for 15minutes. Major mains leak. The workmen were still outside in the dark at 12.30am. They kept going through the night and water was on again when I woke up. Many thanks for you hard work!
Bills were wrong since we moved in to the property, Anglian water suggested a new meter, engineer came out said he changed the meter but only changed the casing. Bills were originally £300-£400 per quarter (2020) bills continued to be wrong for two years, advised to go to a month direct debit, bills then increased to over £800 per month. eventually sent out an engineer to change the faulty meter (Sep 2022) advised bills still coming in at over £800 per month. Still no resolution 2 years later, after 60+ calls to Anglian water. Genuinely terrible service and badly untrained staff, usual call center lies, no managers available, Covid, some will call you back all broken promises. No one can make any sense of our bill or how to solve it. Saga and stress continues.
We have experienced problems with our drain/sewer pipe blocking where it joins the main sewer. We have a shared pipe with next door's system feeding into ours. We have experienced this for many years and have had to call out Anglian Water on numerous occasions sometimes within an interval of only a few months. The problem has worsened as we now have a family with a small baby next door whereas previously it was an old lady on her own. A couple of years ago we were told that the issue is with something called an interceptor. Apparently these were fitted in Victorian times to prevent gases etc coming back into the property and are now obsolete. I was told many months ago that Anglian Water would remove this to fix the problem and stop the continuous inconvenience of blocked drains and many repeat visits to unblock them. Despite being given repeated assurances that this is about to happen, including a job number and actual deadline which, has now passed... nothing. On yet another callout to unblock today the very nice man informed me that Anglian Water don't intend doing anything. Why? Not only will it stop our inconvenience but will save money on call-outs. Apart from anything else I thought that precedence was given to households where a small child is present.
Anglian water have a nasty habit of cutting off the road from Prickwillow to Ely and forcing a miles long detour through littleport, costing residents time and extra fuel. They have just closed the road again for about the fourth time in the space of two years, to repair a pipe which is on one side of the road and could have been dealt with by using traffic signals and a lane closure (in a 30mph street). Why is Anglian water closing whole roads to work on one side? I'm guessing a straight closure is cheaper than paying for traffic light management. Doesn't matter about people who live here and need to get to work, take their kids to school, or the delay to emergency vehicles.
Anglian water are charging my other half for a bill that we no longer live there after various phone calls with then and the people on the phones saying not to worry about it its an error that we or my partner has now hot bailiffs after her and have made it a county judgement claim Anglian water are the biggest conmen of the lot We have not lived in that property for years now and still you try to charge her look back on your calls you have received and stop charging inocent people and robbing them also have a word with the people that are on the other end of the phone who you employ Absolutely disgusting behaviour replying to Aaron several phone calls were made to your call centre telling her not to worry about it and that it would be put right next thing the bailiffs are knocking down my parents door so you tell me the call people you have working for you are doing there job and after an hour waiting for someone to answer to get fobed off Aaron anyone can put bull online and answer with utter lies but this is real life people's lifes you are playing with and also robbing money from because your call service cannot sort it out .....mabe I should just go to the papers and see if that can expose you little scam at robbing people goes
Rang up about a blocked drain that is nearly overflowing, stated that there is a 4 year old child living in the house and right now we’re unable to flush the toilet as it comes back up. However, after hours of waiting have now been told no one can come out. This is unacceptable as the 4 year old child can’t go to the toilet because we can’t flush the chain. Absolutely appalled. I appreciate there busy and can’t work all the way through the night but what are we meant to do now
Absolute joke of a company charging me for two meters, I only have one meter I have rang numerous times and told it will be corrected and they will call me back. I have never been called back! I have gone overdrawn with my bank multiple times now because my water bill is so high. A faulty water meter flooded my house last year and caused £21,000 of damage. Anglian water replaced it and ever since I have been charged for 2 meters this is becoming an absolute joke. With the cost of living rising all the time I am getting really anxious about these massive bills I am getting from Anglian water. I have been unable to afford groceries because Anglian water is making me overdrawn every month. This company is making me ill.
They have added a negative report to my credit file because I requested to pay 6 monthly but they had already billed me. This is after they “accidentally” added this late payment to someone else’s file by mistake. Over two years later? Is this a sick joke? Customer service is appalling as I called up as soon as this other bill arrived and was told not to worry as I’d arranged a different payment schedule! Absolutely criminal.
Spoke to a lovely member of staff who helped me out with my meter and billing query. She was ever so Friendly and helpful.
