You want me to put in a family tree and I have no idea who my family is I was adopted
Ancestry.com has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

You want me to put in a family tree and I have no idea who my family is I was adopted
I am very disappointed that everything that I wanted out of my purchase of Ancestry was an add on subscription. If you’re interested in creating your family tree, forget it unless you want to pay $30 per month. The least Ancestry could do is give at least a free week to see if we want it. I wouldn’t have even purchased this product had I known it provided nothing useful.
This app is purely designed to take your money. They give you “hints” about your family, but you need to pay to see anything. I did this to see where I came from and if I had relatives still in Europe or other states, but I don’t want to pay for a subscription to see them. I already paid for the kit. I’m frustrated I chose Ancestry DNA and not another company.
I paid for a DNA test. Got back some very general results not telling me much at all - just said thar because of my genetic makeup I was “generally less strong” and a couple of other useless facts that didn’t seem even close. I received my roots in percentages but then it stated it could be within 20-30% either side. Then to find out everything I have to pay an expensive subscription every 3 months. Very disappointed to say the least, as I was really hoping for more.
Really helpful staff when I had an issue when I got sent back my ancestry dna kit (my mistake) you get your ancestry dna results really quickly, expect to receive the results faster than what it said it will be done as I got mine done near enough 20 days before expected date, really smooth and fun experience 10/10
Ancestry created an error by crossing up my email address with my husbands. Very confusing. Ancestry sent my results to Allen and His to mine. Even though we gave you both email address twice to make sure. The date of Experience was when we received the results. We don't exactly recall.
They charge you a $25 cancellation fee. So if you forget to end the free trial you’re stuck with the regular charge plus an extra $25. What a shady thing to charge you as you leave. Don’t do it.
Me senti feliz de saber los origenes de mis antepasados, de donde viene mi ADN, fue una experiencia fasinante.
If you guys would maybe quit trying to sell crap to everyone and actually provide customer service that would be a nice change.
The customer service is terrible. If you have a problem with your kit or do it wrong it's almost impossible to rectify. If your kit was a gift then the original person has to deal with customer service. An hour and half on phone and still no solution. Ended up having to purchase my own kit a second time. My sister's test was lost by Ancestry and that was never fixed by them. So a second kit was also purchased for her.
Just knowing where relatives and relationships started from, it's exciting and I believe most people will feel like I do just knowing!
I would like a refund because that report is not accurate from the other DNA I did with 23 and. Me and gem my grandparents on my day side are Italian and it doesn't show on it
I was hoping for a written report . The report sent to my email is difficult to get into. I can’t click on to the report to open it. My birthday is wrong. I was born July 8, 1938. I may have wasted my money on this project. Sandra Graham Spellman
My status is DNA Analyzed. No Results ready
I know everything it stated. If I want to look at anything it costs money, would never recommend to anyone,
I am very disappointed with the way Ancestry automatically changes place of birth according to recent historical changes. My relatives were born in Macedonia under the Ottoman Empire and when I put in the information Ancestry systems automatically changes the place of birth and death to North Macedonia which is incorrect.
