What I didn't like is that I didn't…

What I didn't like is that I didn't find out who was my real father and that to go any farther I have to keep paying more money that I don't have because I'm on a fixed income I thought you would print it out and send me all the information you have gathered but that's not the case

You have to pay for everything literally

Although it was great to get my d. NA results, but it's helps a lot, but to connect to everyone's family tree. Even if the tree is public, you still have to pay, which makes the experience unpleasant. I understand having to pay for some services. But yeah, it just makes the experience really bad.

Price and search are not reliable

Price and search are not reliable First and most importantly the price keeps going up and I've been a member over 20 years, 40 years doing my genealogy. $59.99 for all access. 2nd the searches keep crashing and says it can't be found, yet in the main screen it says its there. This happens almost every day. I got tired of emailing and calling support for the quick fix, or its under maintenance. For the money paid, it should never have a problem. 3rd, you don't get an American representative, you get a foreign country. Customer support should be based on the customer's locality. I don't feel an international rep speaks to me in my best interest. They have a set response for everything and it doesn't answer my questions. When I talked to a US rep, they solve the problem immediately - that's been years since.

well.... honestly....

To be honest, I thought I would get more accurate information. The 'traits' were very vague. Most of them were somewhat accurate but to what degree? And the regions were also semi accurate. I really thought the information would be more accurate than it was.

Buyer beware

When I finally got my DNA results they weren’t even accessible. I followed the instructions and got the app. I then created an account after I tried to sign in on my existing link and it failed. It then prevented me from accessing the data that I had already entered previously. I finally got into some of my information and it is limited unless you pay substantially more. Way too complex in my opinion. Good luck🍀

Mediocre content and misleading service

My sister sent me a link to join Ancestry for 3 months with a DNA test. I had been using a competitor's but only once in a while because I wanted to do this when I retire at the end of the year. The first thing I want to say is DON'T BUY THEIR $20 PRIORITY PROCESSING. It is the biggest rip-off. I wanted to test it, as a test and to get my results more quickly so we could compare. I sent mine out 3 days after she did and got it back about 10 days after she did, and that was paying the extra $20. That is very disappointing from a big company like this. The second is, it just doesn't have the same quality of finds and much less finds than My Heritage. One more thing, and that is to not waste your money on the traits part. It is more than 50% incorrect and yes, it does have a "maybe" involved but it's way, way off.

Disappointed

Disappointed. No information that I did not already have. No native American connection shown. I can trace it back to Creek Indians with paper trail.

I feel that you only tease us with minimal information and adding cost to go further is not fair. And when I tried to pull up the other pages they said it was not available right now. What the hell?

Price is too high

Price is too high. We seniors should have a discount. If we drop the membership and re sign up to get a better price we lose all we have stored. Also too high to go up a notch.

Takes too long. Too many emails about how much more money you want over your subscriptions. Should have just given my DNA. Even when said it was ready it wasn’t. Just another ploy to try to make me pay more.
