Any problem is sent to a phone bank…

Update 8/5/2025. After sending emails to whatever corporate mailbox I could find, I received a response. The email included the section in the agreement whereby the cancellation policy was outlined. As a courtesy, they refunded my fees. 08/01/2025 Any problem is sent to a phone bank outside the USA. There are no phone numbers in the US a subscriber can call and there is no email to connect with Ancestry. Today, their call bank did not resolve my problem. Mid June I cancelled my subscription. I called upon seeing a charge on my credit card statement showing a charge of $42.55. I told him I had canceled it and wanted a refund for the charge that appeared on my card. He stated I may have cancelled the subscription and he believed I did and he would help me, no worries, to cancel the subscription and check on a refund. He canceled the subscription and sent an email confirming the cancellation. Then he put me on hold saying, no worries, let me ask about the refund. He returned and said policy does not allow for a refund and I had until 8/28/2025 to use the service. I told him the reason I had cancelled was because I did not have time to work on the tree but I anticipated returning when the time allowed. And I wanted a refund. He said he could not. I asked for him to send me and email explaining why I could not get a refund. He said he would do that after our phone call. I insisted he prepare the email and send it to me while we were on the phone. He put me on hold, came back and said he prepared the email and it would take 24 hours to receive. I told him I never heard of such a delay in sending an email since I had just received one showing the cancellation. I firmly believe he lied to me.

I’ve been trying several times to get my results, but each time I’ve tried. I get, “Sorry this site is temporary unavailable”!! How am i supposed to see my results if I can’t get them??

I want a refund I do not need your world explorer membership

I have asked for my membership to be cancelled I did not want it yet they took the money of my account and they also make it impossible to speak to a human, all just AI so it makes it even harder to cancel, get your money back or anything. Also the typical scam making it so complicated and also zero notification before they debit your account, no reputable company takes money off your account before notifying you and also will send notifications when your trial period is about to expire etc.

Every day is a family reunion

I am enjoying this journey that began since 2012 on line. I was researching my ancestors history manually on microfilm and courthouse records since I was,a child. There was no ancestry.com. I am now 73 years old and love this site. Thanks to this site I meet new relatives everyday. My DNA has shown me that Pocohantas is my 9th great grandmother on my paternal side. I am thankful, grateful and blessed!

I was surprised

I am very happy with my results. This company would send hints of people from the past . They got it exactly on point from my grandparents sides . I knew I was European but I was surprised with my other make up. I am so happy I did this. I am trying to talk my son and others to do it. We all have a story somewhere. Everyone should do this .

I do not have wifi and not computer…

I do not have wifi and not computer savvy. I thought I specified that I wanted it in hard copy form. I have no way to print forms. I probably forgot and just thought I requested. Just like when we reply to a text and never hit send and don't realize it until you see you never heard back. Lawd, well, thank you for your assistance. I would love this information sent via usps. I was bought this as a Christmas gift

I was bought this as a Christmas gift. It was so easy to do and lots of fun finding out about my ancestors. I have 3 siblings and shared the details with them. It sparked lots of conversations between us and some interesting questions too!
