The accommodations are FANTASTIC! it is a fun place to hang out in and furnished with so many interesting pieces. The owners have equipped it with quality products and provided for everything we needed for preparing our own meals. It is meticulously maintained. Everything was thoroughly thought through. The completely renovated space has many unique and surprising features. As an architectural designer myself, I appreciated the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship in how well the design was executed. The owners were totally accessible and friendly.

Had a rental booked in Truckee for Labor Day Weekend. Emailed the company last week asking if we could either cancel or rebook for another weekend due to the hazardous air in the Tahoe area. They said since the time passed for cancelling, they would not help us. Now, today, the day of our trip, my husband received a positive Covid test. Once again, contacted Turnkey, they refuse to let us reschedule or cancel. I then called VRBO since I actually booked through them. They also refused to help and sent us back to Turnkey. Turnkey would not let us speak to a manager nor would they tell us where their call center is or employee ID. DO NOT EVER BOOK WITH TURNKEY. They do not care about their customers or providing reasonable good customer service. I can't believe any home owner would use them to manage their property. Unbelievable. I will be contacting the local news station to report all of the poor people experiencing the exact same thing either due to Covid or the fires.
Very Disappointed with Turnkey We made reservations at South Lake Tahoe and purchased the insurance policy offered on Turnkey website. Due to the major Caldor fire there is a mandatory fire evacuation in place + very bad smoke for our young kids and elderly parents. Turnkey has been unreasonable and very difficult to work with in requesting a refund and wants to keep our $1300+ for our visit. The Caldor fires are outside of our control and Turnkey is focused more on their profits vs. client experience and creating long time clients. I will never do business again with Turnkey and plan to share my experience with my friends and family to beware of the Turnkey's business practices.
Turnkey puts the customer last. I was unable to get time off work due to the civil unrest that happened almost over night and the pandemic. I called and spoke to several people and they refused to refund me. They told me the best they could do is give credit but I would have to book the EXACT location just on a different date. Well not one set of dates were the same price. they were all much more expensive. Rather than lose the money they were holding hostage i paid more for a stay at a place I havent been to yet and dont know if anyone can even go to since the dates closest to my credited price are week days. From now on whenever i book a stay somewhere, if it redirects me to Turnkey i just run the other way… you should too…
I am very disappointed that my vacation rental was cancelled by TurnKey a week out from my vacation that was planned two months ago. I received a text and only after I called I received an email stating it was cancelled. When I called it was explained that the rental had some issues the alternative choices were not is a good location for our trip so I was left with trying to find something within a week for a "whole" week. I am hoping that TurnKey expedite my refund asap. Sorry I cannot give a better review.
Awful company, an illiterate person would do a better job at running rentals than this company does. If you have an issue they give you the run around until you just give up. If you have to decide between staying here or somewhere more expensive your money would be better spent elsewhere. If I could give 0 stars I would

We had over a dozen maintenance issues including broken appliances, wasp nests, and deck gates, none of which were addressed during our stay. The house is great but the service was definitely lacking.
Visit was great, loved being by the water and taking in the sights of the area! Our room was fine, however our upstairs bathroom toilet tank had a crack and so it leaked. Handyman came and put a temporary fix until a new tank comes in. Also, the hotel elevator and hallway could have been cleaner. Lastly, the dryer in the laundry facility on the 3rd floor does not work
For our trip to Cape Cod, they provided excellent service. Very responsive to all the inquiries I made. Very easy to communicate with. Other reviewers have mentioned issues with responsiveness and reliability, but I had absolutely no issues.

Transparency Turnkey was non-existent. Our vacation was a horrible disaster starting from the moment we arrived. The cleaning crew was still there at the 4 pm check-in and we had to wait around until they finished. Granted it is a large house. There are numerous maintenance issues that are lacking to list a few and as you read other reviews they have been noted over and over and Turnkey has an answer for everything...However, don't be fooled by their responses: The refrigerator would not cool down 57 degrees (it needs freon), the elevator not working, the sinks in the master did not drain, the fan in the master didn't work the TVs were all screwed up and we struggled to have them operate at a minimum, each day the hot tub lost approximately 8-10 inches of water, etc. All of the above was something we could live with as we didn't want someone entering the premises due to the uptick in Covid. Again we can live with these inconveniences. The major issue is the construction of the house next door. They had a crew of up to 8 men from 8 am until 6 pm each day working with saws, chop saws, grinders, backhoe, drills, porta-potty at front walk entrance to the house, etc. You have to use your imagination as I cannot post videos/photos...trust me it was horrible. Remember the deck of the rental and the house under construction are only 2ft apart. We reserved the house on Jan 2nd, 2021 and there was no mention of this...Yes, be assured Turnkey will say it was mentioned in the listing...but all you have to do is read other reviews and it is clear that the wording in the listing regarding the construction was not placed in the listing until months after us reserving the house. My problem is with Turnkey and the way they have handled this situation. We were only asking for a minor refund/compensation for the issues. Basically, the deck was unusable for the 5 days. The noises were unbearable. I already know how Turnkey will respond to this review...blah blah blah see the other reviews/comments. Again all you need to do is read the other reviews/comments. My suggestion is to ASK every possible question upfront and hopefully, it will be answered truthfully. This was not the case with us. I strongly recommend not working with Turnkey... Again the house is beautiful and with some maintenance, it would be an ideal beach house to rent once the construction next door is finished. My advice is to run...when you see Turnkey is the host of a property. There are so many more options that will treat you properly. I did receive a $10 gift card for posting this review.

The stay was great. I would have given it an 4.75, but that was not available. I travel for work alot, and I rent alot of property's similar to this. My preference is to have at least a fitness room, and pool and or hot is a nice amenity. That would be my only suggestion. The other people I saw there were very nice, everyone was very respectful and quiet. Office help was very clear and helpful with my questions and concerns, and responded very quickly. The area is absolutely gorgeous, I would visit again. Kevin
The person, I just talked to was extremely rude. I understand being frustrated in the day, but not every customer deserves what you are going through.
The space is very inviting, spacious and beautiful. Everything was cleaned. More than enough towels and linens. However, we did expect there to be charcoal available to use the grill right away. We requested an early check in due to a mid-week arrival. Unfortunately, that request couldn’t be accommodated. Nevertheless, we arrived at the 4pm time and the entry process was easy.
Still waiting on communication about how the condo was, no toilet paper in any of the 3 bathrooms, mold on the shower curtains, they brought us some but we had to change them, the dishwasher was broken, one bedroom had so much dust on the ceiling fan and ceiling we were afraid to turn it on. They took the blankets from the bed and did not replace them after they came to clean. We asked for a partial refund and NO communication !!!
