TurnKey Vacation Rentals

Stephanie was great at answering my questions and helping me make my reservation. When there was a problem saving my reservation after I hung up she quickly called me back to get it straightened out.

This was the worst rental experiences we have ever had. With some TLC this could be a lovely rental, for us it was not, and not true to the photos and listing on line. The photos do not show the over growth in the front yard, broken tree branches , broken fence, dead hanging flower baskets in the yard, as well as broken tree branches. The vent in the down staris bath does not work properly, there is dirt/grim on the ac return vent in the living room, moldy/musty smell when the ac is on, dirt on the walls, loose faucet in the hall bath, broken towel rod as well. Broken blinds in the main stair well, hall bath. Area rug in the living room is stained, spiders on the first floor. Pool was cleaned Friday morning, a storm came through on Friday afternoon, down trees limbs, debris in the pool. Reached out to Turnkey, received multiple texts over 2 days with automated replies and apologies, and was told someone from the "home care team" would contact me no one did, multiple phone calls and photos to Turnkey as well, finally spoke to a supervisor. Pool was finally cleaned on Monday but unusable all weekend. The pool filter /skimmer was turned off, we were told water level was to low, if it was to low ( response from Turnkey) why wasn"t the pool filled up on Friday morning? The hose was right there in the pool. The water level was almost to the top of the skimmer. We have rented multiple homes without cages over the pool, and storms came through, the pool was cleaned the next day. Turnkey was made aware of this, I contacted the property manager right after the storm, regarding the pool and down branches, " reached out to pool vendor and landscape they are off for the evening due to lighting..." pool was not cleaned until Monday mid morning. With regard to the overall condition of the house, we did not want home repairs and major cleaning going on since we already rented the home and thought is was in the same/similar conditions as the photos on the site. With regard to Turnkey's response - they did not provide any clean-up after the storm, the year front and back were not cleaned up and it took 2 days to get the pool cleaned. Worst experience ever, I would recommend looking at other homes in the area and other hosting sites as well. Three positives: hardwood floors are nice, mattresses are comfortable, plenty of towels.

Booking & billing of the condo has been an easy process. I have not as of yet stayed at or seen the property. But the reservation process has been smooth.

Not pleased at all with Turnkey reservations. Keep asking for itemized statement which should include golf cart rental and only get emails stating it is included. How difficult to provide an itemized update? Also when making reservations got insurance for rental minus golf cart fees as it would not allow it to be added. Called the toll free number and they said they understood but still got nowhere.

Great House however some things to consider. The Primary bedroom runs 20' hotter then the rest of the house. I could not sleep in that room on the first night of my stay. Unfortunately the vents are at the very top of a vaulted ceiling. I advised a turnkey rep and they said they would comp the night, however have not heard back and not received a refund. The pool table is located in the garage, which DOES NOT have A/C. This room was so hott to be in and was completely unusable, bummer. The Pool was so murky you could not see the steps or anything really swimming and wearing goggles. Our 5 year old had ear plugs that kept falling out and it was HARD to find these. They were bright red and should have been easily located. Another bummer. Don't get me started on the half a burnt waffle that was left in the toaster...the first morning the whole house was filled with smoke from this thing burning inside the toaster. I'm not a typical review writer but I felt I should share these annoyances as normally I dont feel this way about any property I've stayed at. EDIT: I see your reply, I paid for the POOL, The house and the AC to all work PROIR to my stay. That is the point....this is a paid service for all of these things to work. I spent SO MUCH time texting 4 different people when i arrived that it was such a distraction from my trip. Your response did nothing to resolve this yet again. Period.

Very easy process to rent this condo. Every thing was easy to understand did not take long to do. We even booked for two weekends, at the same time.

The whole process, from reserving the rental to, unfortunately, having to cancel the reservation was smooth and helpful. Their contacts via email regarding the property and payments were easy to follow. It will be a pleasure to rent from them, again.

We made a rental reservation in my husband's name and decided to put the final payment on one of my cards. However, we were told that we could NOT use one of my cards due to the fact that I do not have the same last name, which is incredibly sexist. I never thought my decision to keep my last name would come up in such an asinine way. Apparently this company operates in life before the 1970's when women couldn't get a credit card unless they were married. There's no way this is the only time this has happened. It's 2021 for F's sake. Change your policy to be more inclusive.

The home we rented was simply beautiful. Some of the reviews I read indicated some cleanliness issues but that was not an issue for us. Not only was everything clean but we had received a text after we arrived asking about the cleanliness of the house. I thought that was very good customer service. The location was safe and had so many things to do. There were some minor things that I reported at the end of our stay but nothing that had a negative impact on our time there. Definitely would go there again.

The instructions were a bit vague. Would have helped to explain there were two buildings. Apartment was beautiful. I understood the bedrooms had the same view as the living room so was a bit surprised to see that they don't. Amenities are nice. Apartment could have been cleaned a bit more as the first thing we saw was a roach.

We booked a trip to Tahoe for the weekend and was happy with the decent price for the house however due to natural disasters in the area (Caldor fire) and evacuations, it is not safe to go anymore and actually is not open to visitors. Instead of canceling the booking and keeping us updated about the situation, I had to reach out myself and they refused to give me a refund. Do not recommend.

Turn key made it my problem when an owner stopped or took there rental off the turn key plan instead of giving me options to make sure I was a satisfied customer they just took it upon themselves to cancel me and send my deposit back. This isn't the first time we have ran into problems with turnkey it seems like it's always something that's an inconvenience to me and my family.

Turnkey was very responsive. We had asked ahead of time about parking a boat at the property and were told it was o.k. When we found out it was not, they paid for a storage spot and refund part of our rental.

Great place, perfect for long weekend get away. Walk to Snow Summit, although we picked a weekend the forest was closed. Village and Big Bear were open though and the house was all we needed. Nice amenities, game room and hot tub were utilized and enjoyed every day. Clean and affordable for 6 to 8 people. Easy check in and lots of communication from Turnkey. Only negative would be to upgrade the pots and pans, leave a few more tea towels since dishwasher left film over dishes, so we washed them by hand. Overall, we would call Turnkey again and book our next stay.

When we arrived at the rental cottage, we put in the code TurnKey had e-mailed us to unlock the lock box holding the key. The code didn't work. After trying it a few more times, we called TurnKey. At that time we were given another, correct code. We got the key and entered the cottage. We tried to access the wifi, using the code TurnKey had e-mailed us. The code didn't work. So, we called again, and got the correct code. As we began unpacking, I noticed that one set of blinds in the bedroom was very dirty; not just dusty, but dirty, with dirt on the slats. So, I cleaned them off. The bed had a card on it that said "Yes, even here. Clean sheets every time!" Apparently we are to applaud TurnKey for changing the sheets after the previous renters leave. Good grief. As we were preparing dinner the first night, we took out the two cast iron frying pans, and discovered that one of them was coated with a slimy, white mold. Needless to say, we put that in the open cupboard where the cleaning supplies were located. So, although the cottage was generally neat and clean, we were pretty unhappy about the service we received.

Our stay was amazing ,property was beautiful,wonderful beach access it was like we had our own little beach since hardly anyone was there .They communicated great which made everything so easy to get around the property .Will use again .

I love the area, we stayed here before and feel comfortable coming here and being safe with covid. The room can definitely use some updating, the door doesn’t have a real deadbolt which was scary to me. There was also a giant mold circle in the ceiling of the bathroom. We had a great time though and would go back but to a different room.

A beautiful home, very clean, well stocked kitchen close to town. Was perfect.

Great stay! Nice accommodations easy access to beach. Nice large pool! Stayed in late August early September and was not too busy or crowded. We will definitely stay again.
